Used to love this game but certain ads keep popping up that will not close and are questionable such as weight loss ads. So annoying to try for a reward and have a poorly done ad not close and it just drags the game out. Will look for another word game. Also annoying is the fast food ads that get stuck. Also very annoying, the Keto ad for weight loss won’t close out and automatically sends to a web page, not cool. Must have cookies imbedded . I will have to find another game to play. Not worth the rewards either. This game no longer works on my IPad, the Chik fil a advertisement freezes along with the Trim Life Keto diet pills ads, can never even hit the button to double rewards because the game will infuriatingly freeze up, every single time. Also do not like the Tile rewards, they are worthless and add no value to the game. Ads are still crashing and will not close, need to find another game to play. Also the little sound horn that plays Grainger annoying ads just when you are trying to think, then do not receive the supposed bee award.

Game could be fun for a bit of time before the constant ads and random crashing and exiting out of the game makes you want to pull your hair out. The ad placement is repetitive, inappropriate, and overwhelming.

When trying to compete in crossword against other app users WordLife decides right before the match starts to pull up an ad that you cannot exit unless you close WordLife , thus guaranteeing a loss against your opponent. The excuse of “advertising allows the game to be free” was permissible several years ago when apps knew how to space them out appropriately. When you have an ad upon opening the word search app, after every level, between extra ads, and to earn more coins, it’s now become more ads then games.

If they toned it down with the stupid commercials for gardenscape and homescape and fishscape and whatever other scape and worked on their issues with the regular crashing this could be a lasting game. If it stays as it is I give it a rating of 2 stars for the 2 weeks I’ll tolerate the game before deleting it permanently.

As usual with all word games they start off fairly easy but then become increasingly more difficult. That’s great and what I signed up for however challenge increase turns into weird. To clarify as you progress to higher levels you start getting words that aren’t found in the dictionary. Because of this I went out and got the latest and greatest dictionary for nothing because the words were not to be found.
A problem experienced from the start is many times it won’t accept the correct word. This of course ends up being your last word to complete. This now puts you at the end of the road so as a last resort I try the correct word again and it takes it. That’s what I mean by weird which takes on frustration leaving me contemplating on flushing WordLife .
The last thorn in my buttocks is that stupid pig. Paying to release coins you already earned is not my gig. In summary this is what I mean by “could be a good game” because these problems appear to be correctable and I suspect intentional. Henceforth, I’m forced to search for a word game without all the stupidity and BS. Let’s see here where is the delete button.......

Of the word games of this type, this one has the best dictionary so far, accepting so many legitimate words the other games don’t even acknowledge as existing. The level progression is great, and the personalization is a nice addition the others lack.

However, I don’t know if a recent update went out and changed things, but the ad push has gotten so aggressive I had two ads start in the middle of one game while I was finding words. There’s an ad every time I reopen the game from looking at any other app, half the time there’s an ad immediately following a completed round. I get that ads are supporting the free experience and that if I want them all to go away I can pay for it. I was 100% fine with the ad frequency before, because the ad breaks weren’t invasive and made sense. Now they’re so aggressive I can’t enjoy the gameplay or the elements I find so much stronger than the other options.

If the ads could be toned back down—not removed, just not as invasive—I’d happily add more stars. But I can’t play the game now.

On the “Spin the Wheel” part I repeatedly get $25. I got 1000 only one time, so NO it ISN’T random.I believe the game uses the same groups of letters/words repeatedly. And, there are acceptable words that the game does not have. There is a method to add words but it us not user friendly, too many steps. Better to have a touch icon to add word and definition on the playing screen. That takes you to an entry screen then 1 touch back to playing screen. Tournaments can be won by guests without having a profile. I believe tournaments should be guests or profiled not combined in the same tournament. I like that the trivia game now will give answers if you are wrong. I like the different tile backgrounds you can select to see the words/letters easier. I like that the playing screen back ground changes and that there are easy puzzles interspersed with harder puzzles. Also, if there is a word on the bottom row of the puzzle your proposed spelling blocks that row from sight. Move the proposed word down; there is plenty of room at the bottom of the screen.

New comment: do not like the new BINGO set up. Waste of time in a tournament to play because winners are much less frequent, even after throwing extra points in. I mostly elect, or will elect, to ignore the notifications to spin. This is a pretty good game, but I’m not keen on the piggy bank that I “won” but have to pay for. And the prices for any of the packages, should you want them, is way out of line. Coupled with the fact that the ads are often hard to close out, it can be annoying. Kind of feel you should pick one or the other… Annoy me with ads, or give me a reasonably priced package that will allow meTo avoid the ads. Can you change how the extra words reward is shown. Popping into the puzzle every 20 words is distracting. Also, there are a number of words that you allow sometimes but buzz out in others. I had an example, but it’s too early in the morning to recall it. But it’s been at least three different words.

Fun game. Ads are too long, especially the 4-15 second ads that seem to come and go randomly, those are the worst. The rewards for 25 bonus words are annoying and slow the flow of the game. Just give the 20 coins without the dumb presentation of the gift box. Could really do without the Stylecaster ads, 15 second ads would be much better, those make me want to quit this game. Your holiday wheels are quite the joke, never get any big ticket items, prefer the normal wheel for better odds. The long ads make me wish I never started this game, they are the worst!!!Tiles on the wheel?! Whoever had that idea should be fired, NOBODY cares about those stupid tiles! Stop being so cheap with the silly gift boxes, 80 coins after a chapters complete is a slap in the face! It should always be a big ticket. Too many ads! Too many ads! Too many ads! Too many ads! Too many ads! Too many ads!

Social features are glaringly missing. While there is an ability to “friend” certain players, a friend button only activates for certain players. I have never been asked to play a game and none of my invitations to “friends” have been accepted. There is no chat function. When I do get matched with another player in multiplayer mode, I question whether it is a bot. When I find a really good player who can challenge me, I would like to play again. Not possible here. Another problem is the bonus events which tend to be repetitive. There is a trivia event which I really liked — the first time. Every time since, I realize that the majority of the questions are repeated. Having said all of this, I really do like the game. The simple design and extra game features are fun. I love that there is no timer. It is a stress-free way to relax and use my brain. The game has a huge edge over similar games which add boosts and power-ups thereby making the games more about buying features than testing one’s ability. This game keeps it simple and I like that a lot. Good interface too.

My family and I like this game. Some of the levels have been challenging, but fun. If you don’t mind all the ads, you can play lots of levels without buying anything outside of what you earn. I lost several collections of coins from tournaments because I didn’t have a name and was just playing the game. I figured it out and now can earn coins from the tournaments. Those are fun to see how many words you get. It is amazing how many words can be found given the right six or seven letters. Thank you for the game.

Updated- Do you have an option to turn off all the extra animations? I like playing the game. I don’t like all the animated stuff. I have turned off the one thing that is in the settings. I just liked going to the next level without all the animations. I have paid for the version, so if you build in something for the paid for version to have a total off animation option. I’m glad you have options for people that want all the animated stuff. I just don’t prefer it. I still like the game. Thanks.

This game is fun and great for wordsmiths but I think the person who does the trivia needs to make a couple of corrections. For example, water is not an element: it’s a compound. It’s comprised of the two elements, hydrogen and oxygen and those are NOT the most abundant element in the air or rather, atmosphere. That would be nitrogen. Another incorrect trivia answer to the question that asks what plant has neither leaves nor roots says “fungus.” Fungus isn’t in the plant kingdom! It has it’s own kingdom which is the fungus kingdom. Lastly, many of the grammar questions are really about spelling and not about grammar. It’s bad enough that social media is full of falsehoods and education seems to be on the decline without a game that is great for teaching spelling and vocabulary doesn’t really seem to know what grammar is and gives false information. I really enjoy this game and aside from the above mentioned items, it’s great for brain exercise. Four stars because most of the trivia is correct and some of the grammar challenges as well.

An enjoyable word game that gets more difficult as you complete higher levels. Some of the words are obscure and more difficult than they should be. Some explanation of the piggy bank is needed. It appears that you earn coins for the bank and that you must purchase the coins that you earned. That doesn’t make any sense to me. Also, you need to relocate the icons from the lower right hand corner. It is easy to touch one of the icons several times when you really didn’t mean to touch the hint or other helping icon. Finally, and perhaps the most bothersome issue is words that are spelled correctly early in the game. Initially, the game doesn’t recognize the word; later in the game, it does recognize the word. For example in game 1478, the words groin and groins were not recognized until I purchased a letter. I had spelled the word correctly 3 or 4 times before I purchased the letter. A little frustrating. Still, I enjoy playing the game.

I love this game. It’s a great way to pass the time. I love the grammar challenges. But MY GOD the constant ads were unbearable, so much so that tonight I was on my way to WordLife Store to delete WordLife and leave a bad review here. I’ve never left a review on anything. Then, I saw that your most recent update fixed the ad problem. And when I say “problem”……it was a problem. I know you need revenue to continue to operate. I worked in advertising for many years. But the frequency, length, and timing of your ads were the worst I have ever seen in a free game. At least one long ad per minute, then it was a fight to get the ad off my phone screen once it was over because the icon is too small (that’s still an issue after the update). Having a word game interrupted by ads every 15-20 seconds does nothing but frustrate and infuriate users of WordLife. 4 stars for a good game and a good update.

Let me first say that I don’t have a credit card or other means of online pay. Thus, buying out of ads is not possible. Thanks for asking, but I much, MUCH prefer to live this way.

That said, I find it ridiculous that after every round, I’m trying to click through 3, 4, 5 and now 6 pages of ads, with the tiniest, most obscure click outs. If you don’t hit it just exactly, you end up at WordLife Store, and sometimes you end up right back at page 1 of the ad when you finally get back.

I get it. Ads help pay for the costs of developing and maintaining the game. 1 or 2 page ads were annoying enough, but you got through them quickly, and they only popped up after every three or four rounds. Now, however, it’s no longer a fun game, it’s a bunch of ads interrupted briefly by game play.

It is a fun game finding words. Yes it is. When playing an opponent on a rematch it goes to an advertisement and by the time the advertising is over, the one you are playing has already found words because it hasn’t got back in time. It is frustrating! Still love the game!! Some computer glitches on the daily spinning. Some times no videos to watch to get it to spin. I got. 1000 points and it never added to the spin I had. It is a fun game but at times with the glitches it can be a little frustrating. I need to be re syncing all the time since the newest update. It also stalls with letters going into the correct spots. I enjoy the game but can be frustrating.

This is my second review. I enjoy the game but get frustrated when spinning. It spins okay sometimes but other times the screen goes black. Then I get the game gone and have to go back in again and then I can spin. The advertisement usually will come up to get my spin. Also playing the game it will pause when I am playing and have to wait before it clears to start my word again. Also I watch an advertisement to spin and the advertisement is over and doesn’t spin. These are my concerns.

I know you have to have ads. But, do you have to continually use the same long ads to spin wheel? You get one to spin, that’s a minute, one to double, that’s a minute, one to collect prize, another minute. So in order to collect I’ve had to watch the same ad over and over for 3 minutes for one reward. I don’t mind the short ones but come on… do you think folks are really going to watch those long ads over and over? If you must show them repeatedly, can you change them up some? I enjoy the game, but as I said before the collection of tiles is so silly. For those that like them, great, but for those that don’t use them or consider them a waste, can you make it an option to use or collect them? Please do something about the same long long ads during wheel rewards. Thank you

I really enjoy this game. It’s a lot of fun, and it’s incredibly challenging. But I hate the daily spins. I understand that there is low possibilities of getting the more elite items. But when I finally do happen to get either the eight lightbulbs or the 1,000 coins, my opportunity to double that prize is immediately taken away from me every single time. My father plays this game, he was the one that got me interested in it in the first place. And he constantly has the same issues, but his get worse. On the off chance that he does get the chance to double the prize, he’ll click the button, and it merely shows a wheel turning and turning and then the game will lock up and he’ll not only lose the chance to double, he’ll also lose that spin completely, and doesn’t get a prize. And now there’s new things. The daily spin is completely out of control. For the past two weeks, it has been that the chance to double your prizes is gone. When contacted, the game tells me that the doubling ability is saved for only special events. And yet, it comes back within 24 hours and you can double things again.

It’s an interesting word game that seems fairly endless. I’m on level 1576 with no end in sight. The daily puzzle and challenges between players is always enjoyable, but it’s not something you have to do to advance in the game. The total of your interactions with other players just consists of solving words faster than them. There is no game chat...which I personally enjoy. There’s also no “timed” lives where you have to wait for so long until you can play again. You can literally sit down and play for 300 hours straight if you so choose (don’t do that, it wouldn’t be healthy). While you can buy clues with cash, you also earn game coins relatively easily, so the game is not dependent on micro transactions. That being said, I randomly make a purchase and throw some cash at the developers. I feel that the game is well worth it, and cash means that they will take a risk on making more games that don’t depend on micro transactions.

Really good game is fun because I like to feed the cat will be fun for me because cats my favorite animal so I give it a five star review and it’s not good it’s perfect I just don’t know how to spell perfect because I’m doing voice right now Grace what do you think of the game? I’ve been playing this game for a couple of years now and have to say I love it. It’s relaxing and you can play for hours. The ads are evenly spaced, meaning you don’t see them every five seconds so you can actually enjoy the game. Once in a while, an offer will even pop up to take a survey for one hour of ad-free gaming and 200 coins.

There are challenge levels and a bonus wheel that let you earn coins and other bonuses easily so when you have to use them you can without worrying about when you’ll get more.

The grammar challenges and daily puzzles are great way to change the game play up a little when you’re having trouble completing a puzzle and don’t want to use hints. You can do something different and then come back with fresh eyes as well as more coins.

The backgrounds on the playing boards are beautiful and you can purchase new tile designs with your coins. The developers also run seasonal designs that you can earn during game play. It’s fun to see how quickly you can get all of them.

If you have friends playing the game you can compete with each other in multiplayer games and the developers run game tournaments often, which also provide you with coins.

The avatars are probably the least important part to me, but for those of you that don’t use a portrait, you earn avatars as you progress in the game. There are many to chose from although the initial selection is small.

Overall, this is a wonderful game and you won’t regret downloading it!

Lots of fun love the challenge! I love the game. I get irritated with a black screen that continually comes up when collecting my points. I had to turn my phone off five times yesterday to get my spins. I also don’t understand how to use the numerical points. I would love to see more tickets for spins on the premium wheel, and less tiles on the wheel. How do I use my numerical points? My questions were not answered last time and now I have more questions! I had several of the fingers stored up and now they are gone. They were awarded to me through spins and I occasionally used them. Why were they taken away from me? Same questions that I had before. What can I do with the coin points, and what happened to the fingers that I accumulate? Need more bingo games and less collecting cat food points. Need more chances to get the special tickets with the chance to win more bees! Same comments as before. Need some special prizes for the collecting cat food. The tiles are kind of ridiculous.

I get irritated when trying to take my spins for points, tickets, etc. and can’t get them due to the system just spinning.

This game is a fun word puzzle and grammar game! It has been my favorite since I first started playing 🤩 ***Update!!! Many months later and this is still my favorite. Unlike some other Word Games this one just keeps getting better. The higher the levels, the tougher they seem to get. Spinning the bonus wheel actually is worth the time spent watching the ads The grammar challenges are great too; I’m always surprised when I get one wrong! This is always one of my “Go To” games. The extras that you can play, like Bingo, Wheel of Luck, Grammar Challenges, and Trivia make the game more interesting than just a word game.

The ONLY complaints that I have is that many words are REUSED. There are so many words in the English language that I would think that the designers would choose from some that haven’t been used(I can expect to see the word “CHAMBER” at least once a week).It’s the same with the Grammar Challenges; I don’t know how many times I’ve had to fill in “We built this city___ Rock and Roll”!!! One word think that as the levels get higher that the word and grammar challenges would be more difficult. Just saying.
