Echoing what some others have said. I “wanted” to like it. I like the idea of a vegan dating app…
…but my experience so far is that it is essentially a scam, with a nice veggie face.
How it works is that it says an ever growing number of people have “liked” your profile (in my case, 12 members), but you have to pay to see them. I felt 90% sure that that was a trick, but I value vegan culture, so I was willing to risk it.
Then, when you fork out the money, mysteriously, it says: “7 of those are no longer members”. Even though this was only the span of like, three days.
Then, the remaining five members have, so far, turned out to be overseas scammers. They immediately ask for you to go to WeChat or WhatsApp. Their location doesn’t even match where they say they’re from. A waste of time.
Veggly says they work hard to remove fake accounts and scanners, but in actuality, that’s crocodile tears. It’s ver likely that they are in cahoots with the fake accounts, or even arrange for the fakes themselves. How else could they trick people into paying to see all the ever-burgeoning numbers of “members” who “liked” your account.
Yeah, I agree with the previous poster who suggested there ought to be a class action lawsuit.
