Echoing other reviewers, VirginiaLotteryOfficialApp is a great concept that has been poorly executed. I find that literally one-half of my purchase attempts fail, for two reasons.
First, the lottery machines sometimes won’t process my purchases because, according to messages I receive, the system is undergoing maintenance. This happens quite often at various times of the day.
Second, the machines themselves other times cannot process my purchases for reasons unclear. Sometimes trying a second time succeeds, but not always.
In both cases, it would help to receive a message BEFORE attempting a purchase that the system won’t be able to process it. This should be easy to incorporate into VirginiaLotteryOfficialApp , particularly when the system is down for maintenance. It would save wasted time and prevent frustration.
I also find the interface a bit clunky with unneeded extra steps, but I can live with that.
Virginia should change the law requiring physical proximity to a retailer to use VirginiaLotteryOfficialApp to make a purchase. This is not VirginiaLotteryOfficialApp developer’s fault, but it eliminates much of the advantage of using VirginiaLotteryOfficialApp . Changing the law should encourage greater use of VirginiaLotteryOfficialApp and more sales.
