MC Status Widget Reviews

MCStatusWidget has been very useful to me over the past year or so. It just works for the most part. The only issue I have at this point is that it doesn’t appear to be making use of DNS SRV records to set the port the server is running on. I thought it used to do that, but isn’t working any more?

Helpful app. The only complaint I have is that my widget screen usually cuts off the player names so I have to open MCStatusWidget to see them. Other than that works as expected and is accurate.

MCStatusWidget is super simple and easy to use! Works perfectly to check all my private servers to see when my friends get on. Also a great way to keep a catalog of servers that I enjoy to share with friends.

A feature I’d love to see is a daily player analysis for each server. Basically it allows you to see who went on the server during the day and at what time.

It’s a great app well designed I like the widget although I have noticed one problem either it’s just my phone but it does not appear to work with IPV6 ip’s.

Works great for my personal 1.13.2 spigot server. I can just swipe left on my iPhone and it tells me the usernames of my friends who are on. It even updates to my new server icon! Great tool!

It’s refreshing to have an app that’s light weight and just works with no ads or subscriptions tied to it. Kudos to the developer!

There’s no longer Works on the newest version of iOS since the widgets have changed please update it so it works other than that works amazing!

Great app very useful for seeing who’s on my server, only thing I wish to see is push notifications to tell me if my server goes down/up or if someone connects/disconnects

MCStatusWidget does everything it said it would, there’s no ads and it works perfectly, I tipped the developer as it’s a small price to pay for how useful MCStatusWidget is.

MCStatusWidget works as intended but you have to fix one thing. When the list of players repeats you have to add a comma and a space so it doesn’t combine the last name and the first name.

I’ve used this to keep an eye on my server for a very long time and it’s great!

Within the last week or so, MCStatusWidget doesn’t show up in my widgets for some reason. When I edit which widgets are visible it doesn’t show up. I’ve tried reinstalling but still doesn’t work. Not sure if there was an update that made it incompatible or something

Well, not much to say now that my feature requests in the old one have been added! Excellent app!

Old review:
This is a 5 star app, but these would make it a 6 star:
1. Apple Watch App. This would allow quick and easy server checkups, and it could also have Watch complications!
2. Siri Shortcuts. This would allow asking Siri to give a status update on the server, or something of the like.
Again, a great app for public and private server owners!

Would love to see some features for the apple watch so I can check the amount of people playing on my server using a Apple Watch instead of a phone sometimes

Being able to check your server status and see who’s online right from the widget is a game changer! Highly recommend.

I run a small server for my friends so it’s nice to be able to see when my friends are playing on my phone. Widget works great, also. One recommendation I have is push notifications for people joining.

For such a basic app, it really goes above and beyond. And it’s very reliable too. Any time it shows off like and I think it must be the widget — it always ends up being my server that shut down overnight. It does one thing, and it does it super well.

So glad there is finally app for this, and it’s extremely easy to use!
