Two Major Flaws

I really wish I could give a five for my review. PINESGeorgia is very easy to access. The format is simply and fun to read. And yet, I give a one for two MAJOR flaws. One, if you put books on hold, they may not be on hold. It may not register as a hold for the library, so you will wait forever for a book not to come. Two, the Pine libraries don’t have the equipment to read the barcode on PINESGeorgia . You have to give the phone to the person behind the counter, and he/she has to type it into their computer. Download and tolerate PINESGeorgia if you must, just know that the library system is not current with today’s technology.

Convenient but needs improvements

Really enjoy having the ability to check quantity and place holds, but I wanted to use PINESGeorgia to maintain a list of novels to check out in the future. Please add the list option to PINESGeorgia .

Easy to use

I have enjoyed the ease and convenience of PINESGeorgia. I use it often! The main thing I see missing is the ability to create a list of items that I would like to return to or check out in the future.

Nicely done!

This is really handy. I like “show card” and how you can quickly change libraries in the search section. I would like to be able to renew items in batches, instead of one at a time like you can online.

Super great and convenient!

I’m SO glad I found PINESGeorgia! It’s so much easier than having to pull out my computer. And I can check my account no matter where I am!

No ebooks/audiobooks??

I moved from Oregon where my library used the Overdrive app and I REALLY wish our library system here used that. I read a lot of ebooks on my kindle and Overdrive was a great way to link my library card and have access to a ton of free ebooks and audiobooks.

PINESGeorgia is honestly kind of useless to me with without that feature……

Wish it showed My Lists

Only thing missing is my lists of saved books. Can you add this feature? It would make PINESGeorgia so much better.

Nice App

Will it made to where you can actually read books from PINESGeorgia ? Like Ebooks?

No barcode!

Seriously? You have an app and it doesn't include a barcode I can use to scan to checkout a book? The library requires I carry around a physical card too check out a book. It's the 21st century. You have an app. Put the barcode on it so we can just scan it from our phones.

Can’t pay fines

I love this for searching and holding books, but I wish I could pay fines online.

Pleasure to use

I’m delighted with PINESGeorgia. It does exactly what I need it to do. I WOULD like to see Lists, but they are on the backlog, and I can be patient, so I think 5 stars is deserved. Good job!

Constantly crashes

In theory I like PINESGeorgia. In reality it just crashes constantly. I can access my library card barcode, but that’s it. Trying to see what I have checked out? Crash. Trying to check my holds? Crash. Super frustrating. I’ll give it one more update and then I’m going to delete it.

Can’t even log in

I have changed my passwords twice and it still would not let me log in on PINESGeorgia . As soon as I logged in on my safari browser, I was able to log in. I am deleting PINESGeorgia immediately. It is useless and a waste of space on my phone’s memory.

By

Lists

It would be nice if they were available in PINESGeorgia , especially when one can put any on hold from a list when on the full site, but they are not even available on PINESGeorgia .

Love it

Very convenient! I can place books on hold from my phone.

Works Fine Now

Edit: Works fine now.

Lists. Android has them.

Lists are very important to people who use library apps frequently, especially during quarantine, when I’m doing all my book searching on PINESGeorgia . I just switched from an Android and lost the ability to view/manage my lists from PINESGeorgia .

Everything else runs smoothly. But without lists I still have to get on the browser. So until lists are added, PINESGeorgia doesn’t do me a lot of good. I will add 2 stars when we get lists.

Can’t login

I’m able to login on the website with my username and password but I can’t login onto PINESGeorgia. I’ve tried deleting and clearing my cache, no help there🤷🏽‍♀️

Could be better

PINESGeorgia would be great if it had the option to add books you’ve searched to your lists through the iPhone version like you can with android.
I love my lists and this was a sad realization.

Wish it was more like the android version

The android version of PINESGeorgia is so much better and more intuitive than this one.

Book description collapses

I have found that if the description of the book is more than a line or two it immediately collapses and cannot be read. This forces me to make a note to perform the search on a regular computer when I get back to one. The bar code worked once and failed twice at the library when used in place of the card. Is there a magic distance from the wand to hold it? Or a screen brightness limitation? (Apple XR)

E-books

Downloaded PINESGeorgia .works great as an extension of the library homepage. Was able to search for and renew Checkedout items. Couldn’t get into the offered e-book feature for Apple.
