Ok I am only giving this game a 1 star rating simply because every time I try to play it I get to fish one time then this ad for a Jurassic Park game pops up, it has a count down from 5 in the upper left hand corner then after the count down an X shows up, and when I touch the X it goes to another ad of some sort and asks me if I want to cancel or open GoFish , I touch the cancel option then touch the word Go Fish at the top left hand corner if the screen then it just goes right back to the Jurassic Park game option, no matter how many times I touch that X the same thing happens and I am never sent back to my finagling game!!!i exit the go fish game app and have to stay exited for several hours before the actual game comes on instead if that Jurassic Park game Ad!! I have even deleted the game and reinstalled it, I did get a few different ads once and each of them worked like they are suppose to and ?&took me right back to my game when the X showed up after the ad finished counting down. There is just a problem with the Jurassic Park game ad....please fix this problem so I can play the game and am able to give it a more deserving star 3!

I recently downloaded this game because it looked super fun, i was right and wrong! its a fun game but theres so many ads. i have to turn my wifi off while i play! and aside that i beat the game within 3 days! after that it started glitching and didn't let me buy any more boosts,every time i tried to fish it wouldn't let me go a deeper depth because i already maxed out! the numbers covered my whole screen! please fix the game! add updates or your players will be bored of it so fast. other then that the game is okay, doesn't bother me so much with in app purchases which is nice if you let a kid borrow your phone. A lot of the reviews complain about the ads so maybe fix that? try to listen to your customers at the LEAST, the audacity I swear.. anyways the only reason i gave it 2 instead of 3 stars was because this reminded me of many other games, and so im guessing you were inspired by club penguin maybe? or maybe you just straight up copied them without credit. also, i get frustrated on how i have to watch a ad just to get a boost? i want to buy the boost with coins not spend a hour of my life watching ads thanks! hope you take this to consideration! sending all hate from my iphone! :)

listen, this game is one of the best and most addictive games i’ve ever played, but the ads! come on! really? i understand the producers need to make money off of ads but maybe a little less? every time it asks me to double or sometimes triple my money by watching an ad or not and just claim the money with NO. AD. but it always gives me ads even if i press no. there hasn’t been one round of playing where i haven’t gotten an ad (even if i say no). Lately it gives me the option to double or triple my money or not and i would always click double and triple even when i don’t want to because i know either way i would be getting an ad, but lately it gives my the option to double and triple and when i go to press it like always, it doesn’t let me. the button goes full as if i can’t press it anymore and i have to watch the ad. it makes me so annoyed! one time i collected $7,500 and it gave me the option to TRIPLE it!! that would give me $22,500! of course when i tried to press the button it went dull and it wouldn’t let me press. SO ANNOYING! overall this is a fun game but with all the problems listed i just want to delete it all together.

The game is great! It is a lot of fun and it is just so much fun to play like on a road trip! I give this game 5 stars! So you are probably wondering why I put 3 stars then, well this is why. There are so many adds!!!!! Come on people why so many!!??? If you are going to put that many adds in a game make the pricing for no adds cheaper because with that money I could go buy 200 sapphires over on animal jam. PLEASE FIX IT SOON OR I WILL PROBABLY DELETE IT!! Pls respond to this review and tell me what you can do about it, if you don’t tell me a solution or you tell me a solution and don’t fix I will change my rating, delete GoFish , and give you a horrible review so you better fix this now!!! Ok so I actually decided to add something. Anyone who does not want adds listen to this. Just turn your WiFi off and no adds will pop up! Even when you ask it to double it will will double up with no adds!! It’s amazing!! Use this trick before they fix it!! Ok editing it once again soooo apparently this trick does not work I don’t know what happened because I had done it for like and hour so maybe guys if it doesn’t work just turn your WiFi off and turn it back on.

This game is decent but it has glitched out a lot. Several times it took my fish bag up randomly (when I was nowhere near the top) before it was full. You also have to deal with ads after every single game, which wouldn't be so bad because you can click to watch an add to double your rewards but that button is very often conveniently disabled so instead of watching an ad for double the rewards you just have to watch the ads. I've also noticed that there is a direct correlation between this glitch increasing in frequency and the higher level/profit I get. It is a free game so do what you want but don't buy anything it is trying to sell you in-game. It also has glitched out a couple of times which ended in me not getting the rewards or making me watch multiple ads instead of one. TLDR: it's free so try it if you want but it's definitely trying to manipulate you to watch as many ads as possible while cheating you out of rewards it's promised in return for watching them. It also only puts the highest reviews on top and doesn't make the negative reviews easily available.

Now, the reason I put 4 starts is because of this response—-

This game is awesome with tones of people joining everyday! But it’s just another hook on. At first when you enter the game, you are greeted to fish after some big money rewards, ads start rolling in. At first they are only at the bottom. But then it gets worse. When ever you catch a batch of fish and you collect you money an ad pops up and you haft to watch the video just to earn money that you fished for. This happens every time no matter what. So I turned off my WiFi. And I could fish peacefully without ads bothering me. But after a while you realize, that your not earning any money from each batch you grab. The game works off of ads, the only way you are making money off of fish is watching ads. You haft to watch an ad to actually get currency. If the game was not like this it would be a lot more fun. I recommend only patient people would hav fun. Or if you like ads. They only make money by ads. The game is fun when you have currency. Don’t download this game. Go play “Gangstar Vegas” by Gameloft! This game could be improved by not a lot of ads.

This game is way too easy to finish and when u max out everything and catch every fish in the game there is literally nothing to do. Plus this game is backwards. Usually games like this require you to play so you can make more money, but in this game you make very little money. Instead you make all of your money while offline so all you have to do is go on to the game, collect your money, upgrade your stuff and go back offline. You literally make billions of dollars offline but while online the max I make now is only $13 mil. Like why would I want to play this when I make hundreds of millions of dollars every minute while offline. Ya this game is fun in the beginning but it’s really just pointless and a waste of time in the end. It took me like a week to complete and each day I would only have to log on for a minute every couple of hours and I had billions of dollars to spend on the upgrades. Overall this game is too short and WAY TO EASY TO PLAY. (You don’t even play really, just log on and off)!!!

before i say what i entitled this to be about, i do want to say this is a very fun game, good mechanics, very addicting and good to play when youre bored and sitting around the house. ok, so lets address the elephant in the room- the ads. there are so many ads i just get sick of them. a lot of games can offer to double rewards and stuff like that and sometimes ill do it if i want more coins, points, etc, but if i say i dont want to watch an ad, I DONT WANT TO WATCH AN AD. seriously, it happens every time! EVERY TIME!! i know a lot of other popular reviews cover this same topic, and i could deal with it up till this point, and i had to write this. in my opinion, $3.99 is WAY too much to get rid of these things. no one wants them there unless they say they want to watch one for extra rewards!! again, i do love this game and i wish i could give it 5 stars but i cant because of the ads! youre probably sick of hearing this but you need to just make them a lot less frequent, at the least. i would still recommend the game though

This game is actually pretty fun; the concept of collecting all the different fish really drove me to get GoFish . I really like it but there are sooooo many ads. It gets to the point where the game is unplayable due to the amount of them. When you’re fishing they have banner ads at the bottom of the screen and if you accidentally tap on them when you’re fishing, then it’ll take you to a different page and ruin that round. But wait, there’s more! After that botched run due to the banner ad, now you have to watch another video ad after that round! And the same thing will happen virtually every round; the highest number of rounds that I’ve played without getting an ad is 2! In most games, the price to get rid of ads is $0.99 or $1.99 at most, but in this game the price is $3.99! I would never spend money on a game like this, but that’s just unacceptable. Please fix this developers, I know you need the money, but at this point it just seems like you are money hungry pigs who can’t stand to make a decent game at the loss of a bit of ad revenue. If you reduce the number of ads, then I’d be happy to change my review to 5-stars.

I am always playing this game and I love it, but I have a couple suggestions. First off, I get that adds are a way to make money but every single time I fish, after I have to watch and add and it’s never failed it has been every time. So I was thinking maybe y’all could make an add pop up maybe like every time I get a new fish or every 2 or 3 times I fish. Second, I have been playing this game for a while now and I have gotten almost all of the fish and I just think maybe you guys could add some more fish. This is what I had in mind. Maybe you could add a couple new types of sharks and maybe a stingray and once you get really deep you could add like a blob fish or a sea snake. There are a lot of other fish! I just think it would help you guys keep your players longer because there are more fish which means that it will take longer to get all of the fish and therefore, the players will stay longer. Anyways, great game! And I would love if you guys would take my suggestions into thought!✌🏼

Tl;dr: The game is great, but too many ads and too expensive to remove them

Every freemium game is going to have ads and microtransactions, it’s just a part of the business; many people choose not to spend money and advertisements are the only way to stay afloat, it’s understandable. However, Go Fish! takes it a little too far. In a game where play consists of short 5-6 second rounds, ads should be used sparingly due to the frequency of rounds in and average session. Every 2-3 rounds, the player is bombarded by 30-second ads. Considering the average round time and frequency between ads, the time spend playing is about equal to time spent watching ads. After my first few minutes of playing, I wanted to remove ads, so I thought I could pay an easy $.99 and resume unlimited play. However, because the advertiser blood money wasn’t enough for these devs, I would be forced to pay a comparatively ridiculous $3.99 just to play the game without being bothered by ads every 2 games. The game devs must either lessen ad frequency or lower the cost of removal, then I could wholeheartedly recommend this game.

This was a fun and addictive game at first. However, I understand that all games have ads, but the amount in this game is absolutely ridiculous!My first day playing this games I spent more time watching ads than I did playing the game. I decided to pay to have the ads removed. Once the ads were removed I enjoyed playing so much more. I was very disappointed by the fact that the first two days playing the first fishing spot I collected all the fish and bonus fish, maxed out on the amount of fish you can catch on the hook and maxed out on the depth you can fish. By the 3rd and 4th day I completed everything in the next fishing spot. After paying $3.99 to remove the ads, I thought that there would be more fishing spots or more fish added to the list to catch. Also, there is a terrible glitch in the game. The game was always locking up and throwing me out and I would loose the fish and money I had just earned. Between the glitches, ads, spending money and the short goal of the game, I am completely disappointed!

I entirely understand that free apps need ads in order to make money, but the amount of ads popping up is taking away from the game. After I’m done fishing I’m always asked if I want to double my catch by watching an ad. 90% of the time it will still play an ad when I click no but there will not be reward which becomes frustrating. The game is very fun and addicting, but stopping every time I make a catch to watch an ad makes me want to stop playing.
I would recommend the creators to find more unique ways to include optional ad watching for boosts, and reduce the pop ups the best you can while still making money. Given a choice people will make the one you want more often, I’m more likely to watch an ad for a boost if I haven’t been previously made to watch multiple without reward.
With less interruptions in between gameplay, more people are likely to enjoy GoFish and recommend it to others. The current amount of ads won’t be needed to make a living off the game.
Overall the game has a beautiful design and is very addicting to play. Hopefully there can be adjustments in the future that continue to better it.

I absolutely LOVE this game! probably my most addicting game i have at the moment. i love how u can get so many different fish and the deeper u go the more money they’re worth!! i must admit once i start playing, it’s very hard to stop!! the only problem that makes me very frustrated when trying to enjoy the game is the ads. Now, i know what your thinking. all free games have ads so they can earn some money some how, but this is different. i’ve never had a game with so many ads. there is literally an ad after EVERY single round u do. and the worst part is that the rounds are very short so u have to wait 30 seconds in between rounds to watch a 30 second ad. it’s very annoying and i often have to take a very large break while playing because it’s just so freaking annoying. so, i would recommend this game because it is fun but if u are a very impatient person (like me) than u might not enjoy it as much. so just a small recommendation, calm down with the ads!!!!!! 😩❤️

GoFish is amazing. I love the whole concept of getting better and better fish as you get deeper. But there are a couple of problems. For some reason, it won’t let me watch an ad to get more money. Like I’ll get 40,000 in a catch and it’ll give me the option to triple it if I watch the ad, so I click it and...! Nothing happens. I’ve restarted my phone, exited out of GoFish , and as far as I know you don’t need to buy anything to be able to click on that. At the beginning it was working, but now it isn’t. It’s not so bad that it’ll make me delete GoFish , just pretty annoying. Now, the ads that you don’t earn anything from are a WHOLE other story. 90% of the time I’ll have to watch an ad after catching something and it’s really annoying. This game is super funny and I totally recommend it, but please, can you fix these two problems? It makes the whole experience less... fun. Anyways, I recommend it, but keep in mind that the ads that give you prizes don’t work and the regular ads pop up a bunch.

This game is super fun, but the ads in the game really kills it. I would be caught up in playing and I just want to collect my money instead of doubling because I would have to watch a video ad. So might as well doubled the money in the first place.
The hack is to play the game with no internet if you guys don’t want ads to keep popping up. No need to spend money to remove the ad. It is a waste of money.
Another hack is... so the game allows you to get money while being offline. It is a great way to get people to come back to play the game. But since I can play offline, the game does not track the actual timing, so I go into my settings and change the date/time so I can gain money quick. Kind of ruins the purpose of the game, since you play to get more money. But I maxed out the net catch count (it’s 50 catches max), I also maxed out the meter limit (1290M max), as well as the offline earning ($8,745,696,655,291/Min max)

Giving the game 4 stars because it is a great creative game. I can see the business making in the game. Con is the game is too well hacked. I maxed out the game :/

This game is super fun and addicting! I love catching and finding new fish and upgrading so that my fishing pole can go deeper, but one problem about GoFish is the advertisements. They just pop up and keep on popping up. When your fishing net can only take 3 fish, in the beginning of the game, it felt like an ad would pop up every single time I caught 3 fish. And it felt like I was getting ads every second! Every time you catch all of your fish and get your money, an ad pops up out of nowhere and it really annoys me. I want to play your very great game! But with all those advertisements, I can’t. It feels like 70% of the time I’m watching an ad on this game. It’s fine when they appear once in a while, but I don’t want an ad to appear every. Single. Time. $3.99 Is actually a lot of money to just get ads off of the game. You can buy at least 2 apps with that money! Maybe .99 and that would be better. I also feel like the advertisements are very repetitive, what I mean by that is by putting on the same ad every single time. Very Great Game! Very Great Idea! Very Great Everything, event for ads.

I’ve been trying to find a game like this for a long time. It seems like every game has levels and quests you have to complete, which I hav absolutely no problem with! It makes the game a whole lot interesting, but this one of those games where if you’re stressed out or just want to relax while listening to music then you can just play this. There is no way to lose and you just sit there and fish. I find it really find to go deeper into the ocean and find the new types of fish I can catch! If you don’t like games without a little challenge or strategy, this game isn’t for you. But, if you’re looking for a game that will keep you entertained as well as keep your stress levels low, then you should definitely download this. I have to say it does have quite a few ads, but that can easily be resolved by putting on airplane mode or turning off cellular data for it! Overall it’s an amazing game and I absolutely love it!

I saw this game in an ads and wow it wasn’t annoying! So I got it and it’s gotta be one of my favorite mobile games of all time. The ads, I think are handled very well I’m don’t feel over welded with ads and they are placed in way that is fair. This game does go by really fast by just leaving GoFish closed and then caning beck you can get a ton of money. I do wish that after you get all the trophies you could get more and find new fish but I’m sure that will come in an update soon. I also feel that you should be able to buy different boats with in-game currency to march your skin but like the last one I’m sue it will be added in The near future. I would recommend this game anyone and everyone I already have for all of my friends but I only have 2 so it’s doesn’t make a difference :(

This is a great game! I’ve spent so many hours playing this game and managed to reach 870M depth. However, there’s a small glitch that I found recently. Once all of your fish are out of the water and the game starts counting the fish for money, swipe down on the top of your screen to reveal your notifications, and then swipe back up. It’ll say “Money earned: (your money amount)” and click claim. The fish will still be counting for money in the background. Now, if you wait a bit, there will be another “Money earned: (your money amount” screen, but this time, it’s usually about 50% higher than the other “Money earned” screen (in my experience). This makes it very easy to farm money very fast. If this is intentional, leave this in the game. If it isn’t, you may want to patch this so no player can get roughly 2.5x more money than they’re supposed to in the round. Other than this glitch, I love the game!
