I reported a collision with a scooter in Northampton on 14/6/23 at 13:45 (scooter No GN8F). There were 2 people on the scooter, riding wrecklessly on a cycle path and caused a lot of damage to my bile as well as leaving me with painful bruising. Nobody from your company has bothered to reply to me about this in over 3 weeks. The incident has been reported to the police and I have instructed a solicitor to commence an action to recover damages. I will be taking to social media to add to the growing call to have these dangerous scooters banned!

I’ve rented three. The first two were broken and charged me anyways, one which billed half an hour and broke down in a no parking zone leaving me to haul the broken scooter out of said zone which was a hassle, and it charged me for the privledge of pushing it around. The breakdowns were not charge related as both reported over 80% charge on pickup. The app has no way to request a refund and their site doesn’t either. My third rental was out of desperation as I needed to get to my hotel quickly as I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt and carrying electronics in the rain. Thankfully this one worked great. My tip is, if you push it over and it doesn’t start beeping and flashing red lights on the rear wheel, stay away from it. Overall I am very dissatisfied with the service.

They have almost no where to operate these and cost a ton of money, just as much as a taxi. They say stay off the pavement but there is no grass path to take only paved areas. The dumbo’s suspended my account for ‘riding on the pavement’ in the middle of the city for 7 days. I honestly thought i was doing exactly what they said to do. I told them they were unclear about this, they didn’t even read the email they just sent the same message back. Rent a bike, walk, bus, taxi take a subway but dont, do this. It took 15 min to just set up the account, because they don’t take credit cards.

Voi scooters are one of the more popular ones around — unfortunately their app didn’t work for me. Tried to unlock multiple scooters, the app said they were unlocked and started charging me, but the physical scooters were locked and wouldn’t move. Got charged multiple times for this. Thankfully a kind customer service employee refunded me (shout out to the great people who work in customer service!), but I’m deleting the app since there’s no point in having something that doesn’t work.
