Surprisingly good

Actually calming (or exciting, depending on how you play) game. Maybe a bit addicting (not sure why people think thats a good thing). Pretty much everything people complain about has a good option for. Dont like the timer? You can disable it. Pictures get hard to distinguish? You can swap the picture set at any time. Dont like the ads? You absolutely do not have to monthly subscribe to remove them — theres a button in settings that allows you to permanently disable ads for a one time price for like two bucks. Theres no options for bombs but i like them cause they keep you strategizing and i like the time pressure. If you dont like them, theyre not that frequent and its easy to remove them with shuffles, which you can also earn very easy. I like the variety of levels. Its nice going from a super hard, dense board to an easy one as a break. But it does get repetitive. Maybe i will get bored someday but right now the simplicity is a major plus, especially compared to all the other cheap puzzlers out there (no i dont want a garden or a quest board or a lengthy tutorial in every single game, crazy right?). Also the sountrack is beautiful (an additional track would be nice tho, as well as more sound effect volume control) and the art reminds me of I Spy books. Fav puzzler so far.

This game is great! It’s challenging, but not so that it is impossible. My one and only gripe ( which will probably cause me to delete this game) is the ADs. If the level is easy, you will see an AD after every 1-2 minutes. If the level is hard, it might be 3-5 minutes before the next ad. If the level is extra hard, after 5-7 minutes, the level times out and then AD. If you beat the level........AD. I just timed my play, and it went like this: 1 minute of play/30 second AD. 1 min. 15 seconds play/30 se. AD. 40 sec. play/5 sec. AD. 60 sec. play/30 sec. AD 4 min. play/5 sec. AD 1 min. 30 sec. play/30 sec. AD. The game does randomly skip to the next level without an AD but those times are very rare. Pretty much at the beginning of the game(level 1-4, and then very rare from then on out. I understand why there is ads, but, for 8 minutes of playing time, I sat through 2 minutes and 10 seconds of 5-30 second ADs. Ridiculous. If it was my app, I would make it so that when you clear the level , there is a 5 sec. ad..If the level is cleared in one attempt, no ad. If the level times out before you are finished, 30 sec. ad. The way it’s done now, the annoyance of the ads outweighs the pleasure of the game. And 9.49monthly or 3.49 weekly, in my opinion is way too much. Just my opinion.
P.S. Interactive ads would be better.

Boring

I don’t like it. The puzzles are fun when they stay still and have more straight forward images but the ones that have meticulous detail that’s smaller and runs along the same color lines I hate. They also move and shuffle every time you make a play so you can’t remember anything or get multiple pairs in a row. If you find two images side by side and you’ve spotted another one as well, as soon as you pick the first pair the other ones will move and separate from being another set. This guarantees that you have to watch ads for more and more playing time, because the time won’t be enough to complete it in one go because things move so much, which for me takes away from the fun. I also think the game is unfair with the distance that it will accept. Meaning if u see a pair that has a straight path with nothing blocking it, sometimes it won’t let you choose it as a set and I’m assuming it feels it’s too far which can be annoying especially when you turn around and use a hint after not being able to find a pair and it shows you a similar choice that is also far with no blockage? I don’t understand how it gages it’s pairs at times. I mean it’s ok, may keep middle age to older people entertained but there are way better strategy and puzzle games out there.

3 Days ago would’ve been 5 stars

I have spent hours upon hours upon hours (even when I was hospitalized) playing this game because I enjoyed it so much. But two days ago they decided to change it up and add some stupid virtual “chess” that you have to gain so many points after playing 4-5 puzzles to earn specific tools that you used to earn after each puzzle. (Now it’s 2 tools max if you watch ads) Unless they go back to their prior set up, this is nothing but a waste of my time. I was fine with the amount of ads they had before since I cannot afford membership, it was balanced and made sense, but now?? Keep your ads - I’m out. (I’ll check back from time to time to see if you really listen to your users or just don’t care)

I’ve been playing for over a year now. Get rid of the chest! Before the so-called “upgrade” The game was challenging because of 1) ticking timer bombs to beat; 2) if you did survive the timer bombs, but ran out of time, you’d get an ad, fair; 3) depending on how big a puzzle and how fast you could finish it, you would get a higher ‘reward’ of tools, so I would be challenging myself at the same time to see if I was able to get 3, 4, or sometimes 5 magnifying glasses based on time left multiplied by my score. My goal was trying to get 6. That personal challenge has now all been removed now you have that “chest” of ads. REMOVE THE CHEST - GO BACK TO WHAT WASN’T BROKEN!!
Please 😔

Bombs & no time limit, diamonds?

I like playing. I have 3 issues. 1-I’m not asking for access to all the themes. I would like to turn off/on the ones I do have access to though. The buttons to do so are not locked. Yet, when I try to turn one off, it takes me to the screen for the weekly/monthly deal. Some themes even show a little crown as the on/off switch, designating those are the premium access. Fine, but I want to access the ones that are shown as open/useable to me. 2-Same as others’ complaints- it does an auto shuffle with available pairs still showing. Tolerable, but not fair. 3-It gives me the option to not use a timer. I have this on so I can relax & not feel rushed. Yet, so many times it adds a bomb! What do you think a bomb is?! Another version of a timer! If you don’t match the bomb to get rid of it or pass it on again to the next pic, it ends the game! Then you either start over or watch a video to continue without a bomb. I’ve had 1 bomb, & up to 5 bombs in one game! It’s hypocritical to allow me to choose no timer, but still make me use a bomb! And I can’t get rid of them unless I match or wait for it to blow up & watch a video.
Also, what are the diamonds for? I have thousands of diamonds and nothing to use them on. ??

Too many glitches

Well, I like this game most of the time and play way too much. When I first started playing there were far less ads. Now it’s a different system where you accumulate tools much slower and watch more ads. And the ads are often multi-part so you have to click next a few time which is pretty annoying. I think the subscription costs are way too high for such a simple game.

But my bigger complaint is the bugs in Onnect . I’m playing this on an iPad Pro. It worked fine for months, but recently it will freeze up in the middle of the game or during an ad, then I have to close and reopen Onnect (just going to Home Screen and back doesn’t work), and I lose my progress in the puzzle but not the number of tools I’ve used. Basically using up tools and then having to restart the puzzle. Now it’s doing a thing where I need to play an ad to continue, and then the whole screen shifts, like the picture is translated down and to the left on the iPad. So I can’t see the whole puzzle.

I’ve updated the iPad and Onnect , and restarted both. I think I’ll just find another app.

Used to be relaxing, then they changed it.

I played this game all the time as a free game. I liked it so much that I purchased it, so that I wouldn’t have to wait for ads or purchase anything, such as coins, etc. I was also able to play this game at either end of my iPad - in other words, I could rotate my device and the game would spin and correct to the same orientation. I enjoyed this because I could charge while playing without ruining my cable. But all that has suddenly gone away. If I wanted to simply let a bomb run out, I could use a diffuser that I had collected by playing and winning rounds. Now, I have to watch an ad to continue - even though I PURCHASE the game, or I have to start the game over. I had given this game 5 stars in the past. I can now only play with the device on one side and, of course, it’s the most inconvenient side. Frankly, you’re lucky you got an overrated 2 stars out of me. I am highly disappointed. Also, as a side note; I had to delete and reinstall Onnect because I was having crash issues after an OS update. When I finished, I lost all my progress and was reset to the first level. Not only was I highly irritated, I was kind of mad.

Could be a stress reducer

This game has some fun shapes, pictures and match games. I admit I love a mindless match game. However, I have had my winnings taken. One day I’m flush, the next day I’m missing hundreds of “bomb” diffusers. I watch an entire 45 second ad, only to have the game freeze, not collecting the prizes I won, in which I’m told I can double winnings watching ads & lose all due to ads freezing. When the game decides to freeze, I don’t even get the 1x amount of winnings. This process has happened more frequently this week. One has NO ability to enquire why they’re being cheated. So, if you enjoy winning tools but have no ability to collect, this game is for you. If you enjoy watching ads, full 45 second ads, this game is for you. If you enjoy watching ads to get through 1 round, for you. As for me, after the past few months, wasting time wondering if I’ll actually get my points, prizes, or get through 1 round without issues, I’m done. Thanks for not providing players a way to advise of issues. Hopefully someday Onnect will offer a way to inquire about issues, but it has yet to happen. Good luck to anyone playing, know you may not get your hard earned prizes.

Super fun game - one super irritating flaw

This is probably my favorite phone game. I can get lost in it for hours. I don’t even care that I have to watch a 25 second ad in between each level. My one giant irritation (and I really hope the developers can fix it) is that the “bomb countdown” starts as soon as you click the replay button, which means that the whole time you are stuck waiting for the ad to finish, the bomb is already in action. Sometimes it’s a super short ad or one you can X out of in a couple of seconds, but more often it’s halfway gone by the time you restart the level. Even more maddening is when it takes so long for the ad you can’t even tell what the picture is that you’re trying to match up once you’re able to “see it”. Please, oh pretty pretty please, for the love of all that is holy, fix this stupid problem!!! (Also, thank you for this game. It’s otherwise fantastic)

Misleading Ads; Fun, Pay-to-Play

I downloaded this after watching a couple ads in other games/apps & on social media. The ads & promos for this app are misleading, as the boards are neatly set up like typical memory games and/or Mahjong rather than the random heap of tiles/cards/images as depicted in the ads.

Not a huge deal, because obviously it’s easier to find pairs in a formatted board versus a heap. Plus, it’s possible that the board changes as players progress in the game.

I played a few rounds & while it is fun, there is a lot left to be desired. The rules are simplistic - match images - but don’t exactly follow Mahjong rules. Sometimes a pair successfully matches that is blocked by other tiles/images & sometimes the game won’t accept a pair made that way.

Rounds are pretty quick, depending on ability and play style, which normally wouldn’t be too much of a problem, but there is at least one, sometimes two 30-second ads between rounds. I get it - developers like to be paid for their services/work, especially in free games. But again I’d rather pay up front for a game - even take a risk on quality/enjoyment - than spend more time watching ads than actually playing a game.

Features like image selection are set up to look like players have the freedom to make those choices but only when subscriptions are purchased. Again, I get it, but it’s misleading & frustrating.

Overall, it’s fun but frustrating and there are plenty of other games out there to try instead.

Love this game BUT

I quickly became addicted to this game and I play it often — while watching television, waiting for Paratransit, during my commute, in waiting rooms, etc. The rules are quite simple and it’s easy to learn. The small images (the more difficult levels, which are fun because they’re more challenging) are sometimes hard to see for those with visual impairments to differentiate.

I’d also be happy to buy the premium level if it was a reasonable price. Nearly $10/month??? Are you kidding me? Every once in awhile, the offer changes from $0.99 for the first month and $9.49 for every month thereafter to $2.49 for the first month and $3.99 every subsequent month. However, when that offer is clicked on, it takes one to the confirmation page of the regular rip-off price. The weekly offer is even more laughable with the first week free and then $3.49 weekly after that.

If the price (either a one-time price or subscription) comes down to something reasonable), I’d happily buy-in.

Ads are out of control

I don’t mind in ap ads rather than buying a no ad ap but this ap has gotten out of control with aps. Not only do I now have to watch ads after more than half the games, I also have to put up with the distraction of ads in the banners at the bottom of the screen while I am playing the match game. Many of these are action ads and are extremely distracting. Another thing I don’t care at all for are ads that the user is expected to participate in. Gone are the days when you can just watch the occasional ad and get back to enjoying the game. I’m a person who likes a challenge but not an impossibility. So, when a bomb is placed where it is impossible to make a match or when I match one pair including the bomb and then another bomb and another are created so ultimately you get to one you can’t match, then it loses the challenge because it’s impossible. I’m seriously thinking of deleting the ap because it’s reached the point where I’m not getting the enjoyment from the ap that I used to.

A few tweaks to make it great

This is a fun game that doesn’t require as much brainpower as sudoku or other similar games. A couple of tweaks would make it even better.
1. An option for levels/number of cells would be great. Sometimes I like the challenge of having the maximum number of cells to work on. Other times I might like easier levels, with fewer cells.
2. Image selection: there are some image sets that pop up but are not part of the list of image choices. I’d like to be able to choose them instead of them popping up randomly.
3. Option to reset the board/start over with a different set of images or number of cells. Basically, there is no way to start over with a new board/new images/new number of cells.
I bought the “no ads” option, but don’t really see a need to buy any of the subscriptions. I earn enough hints and shuffles just from playing.

Lost time to ads

I got addicted to a game like this years ago. It had no time limit, but you could only win by clearing the board without reshuffling. While not a big fan of time limit games, when I’ve determined I’m likely to never finish in the time, watching an ad to get more time is fine. It’s just to addictive to ignore. The ads are frequent, but they don’t suddenly appear mid game. I do find it excessive to have to watch an ad to get back to a paused game.

My big issue with the ads is the literal lost game time. I’ve had to watch ads up to 30 seconds long and when I get to the game the bomb timer has already gone sometimes half way around. And other games I’ve started several times after an ad with a different countdown. Since I see a new board for a millisecond before the ad starts, I have to think the game is running during the ad. I seriously hope this is considered a bug to be fixed. It’s incredibly unfair.

Spotlight Problem

I love this game and play it daily, but I have one big complaint, and that is the Spotlight that you can click on to be shown where a pair is when you find yourself stuck. You have to watch an ad in order to use the spotlight one time. When you click on the spotlight, you will be shown 2 matching pictures but for just a split second (and I mean a split second!) which is way too short of time to find the 2 matching pictures, especially when there are many, many pictures to scan across. Many times I have to watch several ads to use the spotlight several times just trying to be able see a matching pair highlighted before it disappears. This is more than frustrating and I am at the point of deleting the game unless you give a little more time (even 2 seconds would help)after clicking on the spotlight. If it wasn't for this complaint, I would certainly give this game 5 stars.

Fun addictive game but sooooo problematic

5 stars for the game, 0 for functionality.

Since the update my iPad runs hot almost immediately. I’ve never had this happen with any other (and much more complex games). The game is laggy both during game play and during ads. Many of the ads just freeze up and I have to shut down the game completely and loose any rewards or gameplay I’d accomplished. I’ve also noticed I will sometimes start a game with no ad, then it suddenly pops up, and while it’s playing the game timer is still going!

Also hate the new way to get tools compared to last version. It’s hard to get enough to keep playing.

Let’s talk about the ads. First of all, they are boring, repetitive, sometimes insulting, and also, do they even care about demographics at all?

Here’s how it goes: want to play a game? Watch an ad. Finished playing a round? Watch an ad. Want the rewards from the round you just played? Watch an ad. Your kid comes in with a question and you have to pause the game? Watch an ad to get back in. Want to get a few extra tools when you finally earn an award chest? Yep, you get it. Watch an ad.

I LOVE the actual game. I could tolerate the ads because I’d save up enough tools to put my iPad on airplane mode for a while. But now with the lagginess and really really excessive ads, I don’t know if I’ll keep playing. I was considering the paid membership but not when these issues are happening.

Surprisingly fun!

After reading the reviews I almost didn’t download the game. I am so glad I did! It is very similar to mahjong with some challenges, like moving tiles. I don’t mind the ads in between the games. They do get annoying when they play after pausing the game. I think I have worked up to somewhere in level 40 or so and plan to keep going. It was a bit confusing on how to play at first, but I figured it out. If there was a help button with directions I couldn’t find it. The basic goal is to connect a line between two identical pictures. Be warned, several pictures can look quite similar. There doesn’t seem to be a penalty for clicking on the wrong picture (thank goodness). It is timed, but if you run out of time you can watch an ad and add more time to the clock. I say take a chance and download, you can always delete it later if you don’t enjoy it.

Battery hog, crashes and stalls

First of all, what’s with dropping the “c” from all these game titles? Has anyone ever figured that out? Anyway, this is a pretty engaging game but there are a few fatal problems. It crashes and stalls, even after I’ve reset my device (updated, reasonably new iPad). It heats up the device, and it hogs the battery in an unacceptable way. The battery level actually goes down, even when I’m connected or onnected (😝) to the charger. Those are the device-related issues. Game-related comments: There’s a nice assortment of difficulty levels and levels with/without bombs. Most games shift the tiles around after each move, which is not my cup if tea, especially when the tiles move in all 4 directions as opposed to all jumping to the left, for example. YMMV of course. There’s a reasonable number of ads but I suspect the ads, along with the constantly shifting tiles, contribute to the freezing and battery issues. I would have given it 3 or 4 stars, except for the freezing game, hot device, and potential for damage to the battery.

Fun but needs direction

I love these puzzles but they need to add some features to make it more of a game. For example, you accumulate points as you make matches but there’s no reason. The points don’t earn you any rewards (such as a hint or extra time on a bomb. These are only gained by watching an ad). It doesn’t even keep track of high scores or anything point related. Why bother even keeping a point total?

While you do “win” by solving puzzles, you don’t progress in any way. Most games have levels or different features/obstacles as you progress through the game. It’s just endless puzzles that don’t go anywhere. You have no idea how many puzzles you’ve solved, how many you solved on the first try, etc. No stats whatsoever. I can’t even figure out what the little icons are that appear when you win.

The game is far more challenging than I expected but it would be improved if it went somewhere.

So good, it’s addicting!

This game is by far my favorite. I found it to be very relaxing, yet puzzling enough to keep my attention. If the levels become too hard, you can disable the timer. That’s what’s when I found it to be the most relaxing (and addictive). Don’t we have enough stress and rushing around in our daily lives? Disable the timer and unwind a little. I’ve made it to the 600+level and I’m still enjoying it.

*My only suggestion, is that the creator’s make an option to enlarge the cards. I have 20/20 vision, but I had to purchase reader glasses for this game because most of the designs on the cards are small and it makes it difficult to differentiate them from others. That is the only reason I gave it 4-stars. If you play on a tablet, rather than a cellphone, it shouldn’t be an issue. Enjoy!
