I’ve really enjoyed the design of FF6. I’m relatively new to drones, but have an strong aviation background. I’ve built a few 500 size drones running ardupilot firmware and mission planner for the GCS.

FF6 makes flying easy and fun. I had the drone flying indoors after a few minutes of unpacking the drone.

The whole family loves the video quality of the 4k anafi.

The numeric values are a little hard to read on the smaller iOS devices, but intuitive to use. The one feature that I use with ardupilot that appears to be missing is an “auto” mode that knows the gcs/vehicle relative positions and controls roll relative to the remote pilot perspective instead of drone orientation.

All in all, a very nice designed GCS UI. I’m looking forward to playing around with the dev api.

Stability of the image and hover position of the anafi is excellent. I’m guessing there is some video flow stabilization happening.

I ve been using FF on my iphone and it works well and reliably as long as the phone is placed in airplane mode whIch is always a good idea when flying a drone.

I also tried using it on an iPad running iOS 10.3.3, just to download files but FreeFlight6 crash whenever i try to access the SD card. No issue accessing the card from the iphon using iOS 11

While not a FF issue but a drone issue, i cannot use video clips in iMovie unless i edit them in camera roll first. Annoying.

Missing features:

You can not save video files to the camera roll Pictures, yes... videos no. If you airdrop them to another iOS device (one by one...) they will save to that device cam roll just fine

You can not select multiple files to save the camera roll or airdrop. You have to do it picture by picture. Waste of time!

While FreeFlight6 record basic flight data, it doesnt record distance from controller which is important to evaluate interference and reliability.

No way to select speed units, like mph, kmh or knots. You only get mps or fps.

Would like a slider to control maximum speed. Also when tracking a subject up to 20 mph if the subject stops suddenly, the drone just keeps going in the same direction for several feet before stopping and readjusting itself. So if there’s a tree there it’ll crash. Lastly, when locked on the subject and orbiting, it doesn’t keep the same distance between itself and the subject. Instead of a nice circular orbit, it’s more like a wobbly one.

It’s somewhat easy to use but there are some hidden features that are hard to find. The most frustrating thing is that every time I access FreeFlight6 , I have to restore purchases to get the flight plan back.

So during a recent update, the drone suddenly refused to connect with the controller or my phone. When I try to turn it off, the button does nothing, so I had to remove the battery. None of the resets worked. I haven’t had a single crash and I’ve taken care of it. I use iPhone 8 and it worked before. I can’t refund it because parrot excludes software and it’s defects. What happened? Was it FreeFlight6 or a drone malfunction?

Please add the option for mph and a better understanding of what Wi-fi band mean on the wave graph since the Anafi manual does not provide any information on what any of it means. I don’t understand whether a high or low wave graph means better connect and less interference or the other way around, please add color to the graph as well, red and green. Please also add multiple custom flight profiles other than just film and sport so we can switch to a profile that’s in between the two. Thank you!

I have almost every DJI Drone, Phantom 1,2,3 Mavic Pro, Spark, Mavic Air, and others and I really enjoy FreeFlight6, the layout is amazing, I’m sure you can get better stuff, I also had Yuneec H, I love FreeFlight6 sorry but I do, I’m glad I got the Anafi, and FreeFlight6 just made me happy.. I’m 58 and it just fits and I’m a private pilot so maybe that helps but well designed

I think this has to be one of the best drones my only concern is that I can’t make a custom white balance. In my opinion the images are beautiful but sometimes it seems a little to yellow or orange and the presets all lean towards the warm to much. I think that if we can get a firmware to fix this problem we would have the best all around drone and also I like 2.7k now if parrot could get 60fps in 2.7k this would most definitely best drone in 2018.....

So maybe it is just me, but when I import my videos I can only view them via the FreeFlight 6 app. Want to watch those videos in any other app? Forget about it. Want to edit the videos in iMovie? Forget about it. They don’t even show up since they are mp4 and Apple really doesn’t seem to like anything that’s not a .mov file. Other than this, FreeFlight6 works just fine.

I have had issues with video connection to the drone on several occasions and also rare difficulty switching to the thermal sensor. Overall functional and a wonderful drone to fly, just needs some more stability and functionality improvements.

So I’m am amateur flyer and don’t have the best place to do pre flight calibrations. If there is a way I haven’t found it but a way to level the horizon mid flight would be great. Other than that no complaints and look forward to updates

Easy to use. Versatile. No problems. Just remember to always check for updates before any project because they go faster with Wifi and sometimes take several minutes

I own three parrot drones. The most user friendly by far. I hope and pray that Parrot will continue to make drones for we the consumer, not just the military. Thank you

During a flight plan upon losing signal the Anafi are the free flight app just resets it self crashes but all you have to do is open FreeFlight6 again and tap fly and will pick back up for you after

Hello, with the past update I have been having a problem with video feed connection. Randomly the video feed will go black, no static just black. I still have telemetry and can control the Anafi but the video feed is black. This happens occasionally during app start up, switching to HDR, and during Flight Plan. Please fix ASAP or allow a firmware roll back. Thanks

FreeFlight6 makes me create a brand new account every time I download it to a new device. I am not sure why it’s doing this. I keep creating a new account using the same password every time. Dose anyone know why this is?

Great app and free of bugs. Lacking one important feature though… the ability to stream to an custom RTMP server. It’s all over your message boards. Users have been asking for this for a while now.

FreeFlight6 is intuitive and Parrot replaced my Anafi under warranty when one of the motors cut out and it crashed. My replacement drone is still going strong, knock on wood.

Flying FPV on this is a blast especially for a newbie to the hobby. The updates make this drone so much more fun and easy to fly especially in Race Mode!

I have the latest software update and I notice now that I have to calibrate the drone by flipping the drone before I fly. Didn’t had that before. Annoying to me. This is every battery change. Hmm ?

Coming from 5 years of messy DJI apps, it is really refreshing to see a little simplicity, and lean design in the World of drones. Well-done!
