All the scenarios present in the art booklet are missing in AwkwardGuests . Only the scenarios present in the instruction booklet are in AwkwardGuests which is very disappointing. Would have been easy for the developers to include both.
App works well. Solo mode is good, but I keep getting an EXCESS amount of duplicate cards, more than necessary. Please fix the large amount of duplicate cards if you can!
“How” and “Why” are reversed.
As of now (Aug 7, 2019) I can’t get the solo mode to work on my iPhone X. It starts the case, gives me 5-6 card numbers but then I can’t do anything else. There is a ‘Next’ button but it is unresponsive. The only buttons I have that do anything at that point are ‘Back’ and ‘Solve’. Neither of which I want to do. Would love to try this game solo, but seems like I can’t at this time.
UPDATE: Oct. 4, 2019. The latest update seems to fix the two largest issues people were having (solo mode not working on certain iPhones and there not being a language selector) so I updated my rating to 4 stars.
I use AwkwardGuests while playing the game with others to prevent player elimination. It works, but wish AwkwardGuests would tell you the guess was wrong. Instead, it just goes blank. When correct, it tells you, and celebrates. That little fix would clear things up.
The design for small scrolls was odd, it works, but opening it to pick might have been a little better.
Works okay on my iPhone 7. Played through it twice. Took me a few minutes to realize that you can scroll on the menus. Played beginner and solved it easy despite still learning the game/app. Played easy with my kids, who "helped" me. Had to guess the person as I ran out of points. Seems fair since my "help" consumed a lot of points to check rooms that weren’t of much value to me.
I have played a few games and love using AwkwardGuests . It has a ton of different cases (and different difficulty levels) and I love the fact that if you guess wrong you can still be in the game. I haven’t tried solo mode, but multiplayer works just fine! A must have to accompany the board game (really fun game, better than Clue in my opinion).
App is barely out of the womb and most people don’t even have the game yet. Still, someone felt it necessary to give it a one star rating. Slow down there Ebert.
We ran out of beginner sets, and I loved how you could change it from the different difficulties and it was perfect. Use no glitches.
