There is some decent content in PeriodofPURPLECrying but it crashes A LOT! I hoped to pass it along to my parents, who will be watching my baby some of the time, but since it crashes so much it’s hard to to suggest it to them. PeriodofPURPLECrying also has various “tracking” functions which I find useless...there are so many other better apps for tracking things for babies that I don’t need PeriodofPURPLECrying to also try to do so, and poorly at that.
I really hope the developers work on making it more functional as their first priority!
I opened PeriodofPURPLECrying , logged in, and while creating a personal profile hit a few roadblocks discovering I couldn’t create a baby profile before baby was born. While backing out, I got permanently locked out of PeriodofPURPLECrying . My email isn’t recognized, my password isn’t accepted, and there’s no other access. Garbage for functionality. Just use the internet.
There’s no ability to edit and of the feeding amounts or times if you accidentally hit save! Along with this if you want to enter how many fluid ounces you feed your baby you have to use some super trashy overly sensitive sliding scale that is more annoying than helpful! I’m sure there’s more but this is just what I’ve found in a matter of 2 feedings 🤷🏼♂️
PeriodofPURPLECrying was working but now it hasn’t been working for the past 24 hours. It says “Error. Canceled” when opened and there is no way to put in a ticket for customer support or app bug. So I’m hoping writing a review will get someone’s attention.
App hasn’t been updated for 2 years, not user friendly at all on an iPhone. Wouldn’t recommend, we switched to Huckleberry and it’s much better.
I would love to use PeriodofPURPLECrying but it crashes every time I open to use it. I’ve tried just about everything to solve the issue.

Just had a baby this pst weekend and would love to use PeriodofPURPLECrying , but it crashes about 9/10 times of use. Cannot login to the system to even use the activation code. Developers- please fix PeriodofPURPLECrying.
Looks like a great resource. I coach lots of families and want to refer them to evidenced based support for the care and safety of their babies. Please make this available to everyone whether they have a Code from the hospital or not.
App is probably great, but it is super glitchy and crashes a lot. The developers need to go back and fix some fundamental bugs to make it more dependable then PeriodofPURPLECrying is a 5 star app
I am losing all my information I’ve logged because the program is placing the events on the wrong days.
PeriodofPURPLECrying has great information that is incredibly important for parents. Info about how to cope with your baby’s crying, tips to soothe his crying and other things like safe sleep. Really helpful information. I also love the baby tracker that lets me input sleeping times, diaper changes, feeding times, crying bouts, etc. It’s easy to use and comes in handy at doctor visits. Great app for new and experienced parents of babies!
PeriodofPURPLECrying has such useful information. It really helped me understand my baby’s crying. I really liked the tracking feature and the fact that multiple people can enter info. Wish all hospitals would deliver this program!
