when you’re in audition mode and have to play eadg, the tuner is off and it tells me that it’s too flat/sharp when my snark tuner says otherwise. obviously a tuner that doesn’t actually feel the vibrations (or whatever) doesn’t work as well, but it’s annoying when it’s not right

So, let me just say that this is a great app for musicians and people that are looking for an app that helps them improve their music. You can download your own music, you can choose whatever instrument you want (keyboard, strings, woodwind, etc.) and it just magically listens to what you play and helps you fix your mistakes and stuff. There’s even an Audition where you play a couple of black keys and then it listens to you play that piece. There is also a Demo where you get to play along with a recording of your piece and just basically shows you where you have bad notes, mistakes and things. But the one part I would like you Developers to update a little is the Note-By Note thing. So, let’s say I download an exercise piece such as a Czerny. I play a couple of chords and they’re all correct. But somehow, the Note-By Note thing says one of the notes are wrong even thought they’re all correct. And also, it won’t move to the next note as long as you play the “correct note”. I like how the Note-By Note senses how your wrong, but sometimes it just doesn’t recognize what’s correct and what’s not, technically. So overall, I like Violy, totally recommend it, but please improve the Note- By Note section. Thanks!

this app combines the great tool of a metronome with pitch. For a violinist, this app is a gold mind. this app helps me focus and set practice goals. Using this app is like having a patient friend able to tell me when my pitch is a little too high or a little too low. Learning to use this app with a non-judge mental attitude is an extremely powerful practice tool saving hours of trial and error. I also recommend the “play along” feature to play with a pianist or to play along matching pitch in unison. I highly recommend and use this app on scales and etudes every day.

My students using this app learn pieces faster than before. I have the student choose a section, play it slowly using note by note, then slowly with play along a couple times, then audition mode. Audition mode lets the student know if they need to go back to note by note and repeat the section or move forward with a new small section. The score provides the feedback.

This is a great must have app that helps you playing your Violin. I have tried a couple of different apps and none of them actually had the options Violy gives you. There were just one recommendation about a delay start, and they responded quickly and are looking into it in the next update.

I’m pretty sure I wrote a review before. But I must say Violy keeps improving. I just discovered that they added piano accompaniment which is just awesome. I don’t know if it’s available for free trial because I signed up for paid subscription. I truly love Violy. I love the fact that you can change metronome to any speed And the fact that you can practice in small chunks. Please add wohlfahrt études.

During quarantine, I have to teach online. I tried to use Zoom, Instagram and Facetime, but the sound effect is not good. Sometimes higher pitches of violin cannot be heard.
