Awesome app!

Just heard about this about only about 2 hours ago scrolling through Facebook. OfficialNavyPFA has everything a sailor needs to know about anything physical fitness as well as proper nutrition. No excuses anymore why a sailor won’t know what they need to achieve to pass a bca and prt. Thanks a lot for whoever made OfficialNavyPFA. I will definitely be sharing this with my junior sailors as well as the rest of my department for future reference.

Can you please replace the number slide?

I love the PFA calculator but can you change the sliders out and allow the user to type the height and weight? The slider makes it challenging when I’m trying to quickly weigh 200+ Sailors.

It’s about time.

Finally an app that has all up to date PFA information and a calculator in one place. No longer do you need to log into PRIMS to calculate alt cardio. So far no complaints. Extremely easy to use and plenty of content.

Quick resource, always available

This is a app in the right direction. Leadership has needed this for a while and the Sailors love having the information electronically and at the ready. Great job on OfficialNavyPFA.

Please update this.

I know the PFAs keep getting pushed out but we are going to have to do one eventually and having the new rules for the PFA in the Navy PFA app would be really nice. Also, can you maybe add a function of saving the users data instead of erasing it and making the user go back through the tutorial every time they try to use it.

About time!

I have been waiting for an official app for the PFA. The Navy did a great job putting together a user friendly app that just doesn’t have a PFA calculator but so much more great information! Well done!!!

Poor user interface

Glad the navy is trying to enter the digital age but they need to try again with this one. When you navigate between areas it forgets where you left off, the calculator portion isn’t linked to the data tables so it makes you do the math ( might as well just pull out the ole hard copy and do it that way). Waste of bandwidth and storage space.

Ok app still missing one thing

OfficialNavyPFA is useful. It’s not the best app but it’s missing connection to apple health. I feel it would be useful to see where we stand when training.

By

Okay

It’s not bad but it’s not “user-friendly” or easy to follow to start like the other app. It always opens to some intro page and each time you go in you have to start all over - it doesn’t save your personal info - which is irritating. They need to look at the other “NAVY PFA” app and take some pointers there.

Needs to be updated with 2019 PFA Scores

Scores were recently updated in May 2019, but are not up to date in OfficialNavyPFA . If Sailors are planning on using OfficialNavyPFA to determine their actual PFA scores, then OfficialNavyPFA needs to be kept up to date with the scores and the applicable references.

Good App, just not up to date

Been using OfficialNavyPFA since it’s early days, but needs to be updated. The latest policy change with the plank is not implemented. This does not all someone to truly gauge where they are.

Still a good app. Just needs attention.

By

Useful, just not up to date.

OfficialNavyPFA itself is quite useful, although it is disappointing that it doesn’t have planks or rowing added to it yet.

By

Once was worth it, NOW it’s not!

OfficialNavyPFA used to be a really good and easy place for Sailors to look for PFA information. The new instructions have been in the works for long enough and out on the streets long enough that OfficialNavyPFA should have been updated. It hasn’t been updated.

Get rid of the sliders, manual entry please

The ubiquitous use of sliders is pretty frustrating; it’s near impossible to enter the exact weight of run/row time. Please let us manually enter data into the calculators.

Needs to be more Sailor-centric.

- No timer? Why can’t I run the entire PRT through OfficialNavyPFA?
- Why do I have to go to the reference page to get the PRT numbers? There should be an age-tailored link on the PRT calculator.
- No motivation. Just gives you your pass-fail after the test. A good app would have a countdown, sense your push-ups, and let you know how many more you need to get to the next level, and encourage you to get there.
- What’s with the crazy disclaimer when you log on?

Not sure if I’ll use again. Disappointed.

Where’s the update?

I’m still looking for the updated app that MyNavy HR has been posting all over Facebook.

Cannot Get Pass Disclaimer Page

I’ve deleted and reinstalled OfficialNavyPFA numerous times and can’t seem to get pass the disclaimer page... IPhone 8+ please fix.

By

App is broken

App is broken. Says that it requires Wi-Fi to download data, but even with Wi-Fi won’t finish loading. For an app that’s essentially a bunch of lists, it should take all of 2 seconds to load and not require internet.

By

Out of date

The Navy has change so many things when it comes to the PFA, That most of us don’t know what’s going on and we turned to OfficialNavyPFA sponsored by the Navy and it has not been updated in years

By

Please update

Many changes/updates have occurred in the guides and additional NAVADMINs have been added. Please update the info in OfficialNavyPFA.

By

Update

Great app, needs to be updated with the most up to date Navadmins and policies to stay relevant. I don’t have iOS 13 that may be a factor.

By

Just Okay

If you do the semiannual run, it works...but if you choose to do alternate cardio, you won’t get a calculation at the bottom. What’s the point of having an app if you just plug in your information and the end result doesn’t calculate?

By

Updates

Guides need to be updated.

By

Great

App is a good resource for tutorials, videos, and black and white info. Good job guys and gals keep it up, we need all the help we can get.

By

Error and crashes while opening

Won’t load. Please fix.
“Something went wrong with the installation process. Please try again later.”
Removed and reinstalled 5 times. Won’t work.

By

Keeps Crashing

I’m really trying to get into OfficialNavyPFA to get information but it keeps crashing. I have yet to make it past the disclaimer page. Hopefully it’ll get fixed an I can change my review.

By

First effort

As others have said, a step in the right direction.
The interface is a bit awkward (some of the fonts are too) and I can’t get my cardio score for the bike to work.
