Set it up and it’ll work, aside from the realities of building access being tied to something that you can easily break or run out of battery. The real issue is due to the developers failing to understand their customers. I got a new phone and enrolled the reinstalled app, my credential was still in the app. It just didn’t work, I was locked out of the office today. Our credentials manager said this always happens with new phones and Farpointe does not respond to requests for help. To resolve this you have to register a whole new credential, which costs money. And guess what…there is no way to delete a credential from the app! If you add the new, paid-for credential you’ll have the old useless one confusing and cluttering your wallet. Get the bright idea to delete and reinstall the app, and then reload the credential? Welp it only works one time, so you’re locked out again and need a reissue again. Any app with a credential update process that requires deleting and reinstalling the app in a specific, irreversible sequence barely deserves one star.

Slow to open the door. If you get of your house often it starts to get really annoying. Also sometimes the timer doesn’t start when you open the app, and you have to reload it. So it takes me 5 to 15 second to open door. At this point they should have just gone regular metal keys to open the door.

This whole system is pretty amateur with no sign of improving. Having no watch/wallet functionality is pretty ridiculous, but the worst part is that the credential they charge you for cannot be transferred to a new phone, so if you do regular device upgrades you have to buy a new license every time.
