Can’t use

2022-06-20

Tried to install, installed and took me in a circle between apple health and RUNinterval . RUNinterval makes it sound simple “allow full permission by apple health to track runs”
I don’t care for the tracking runs and really wanted to utilize the interval time function. I decided I’d be ok with the permission shared but there is no option nor does it tell me where to go to change that to allow access. It doesn’t have a help feature, just 2 buttons that say “ok” or “not sure.” It does not show me how to work around the permissions if I do choose to allow apple to have all my data, therefore spinning me in a loop between the two apps.

Interval Settings

2022-07-21

Short story: If you are looking for a METRIC, DISTANCE INTERVAL app that will accommodate multiple rounds of more than TWO distance interval types at a time (i.e Walk 100m, Jog 200m, Run 300m for 7 rounds) this WILL NOT be your best option for an app.

I was really hoping to use this as a MUCH easier way to get in some distance interval training, without a track or predetermined route. RUNinterval looked more user friendly, and like a more simple way to achieve my runs. Unfortunately, it’s no easier than another app I have. I can only program 2 intervals at a time, and have those repeat. Most of the time, I personally have more than 2 separate metric distances to run in one interval/round. So, I’d have to create 2 separate “intervals” in order to achieve my FULL interval display, and continue re-entering the intervals in RUNinterval , since repeating rounds only works for one “interval” at a time.

Please make it easier to program for 3–5 separate distances in ONE interval at a time, and THEN the option to repeat the rounds. It’s a great app, when I only have 2 distances/times to run at a time.

Wish there was a “moderate” setting

2022-08-22

I love everything about RUNinterval, except for two things: 1) there’s only an easy, hard, and rest interval to choose from. I wish there was a moderate setting as well. 2) there isn’t a “copy/paste” option for putting several different intervals together, and then repeating the round. If there were those 2 options, I’d give it a 5.

Good function but does not support family share

2022-09-23

App functions as promised. I Like Apple Watch app as well. Good experience overall but feel duped because it won’t share the in app purchase with wife’s phone.

🙌🏼

I really like RUNinterval! I love that I can create my own intervals. The only thing I don’t like is if your screen isn’t open on RUNinterval it won’t tell you to speed up or slow down. It makes it a little hard to keep track when running outside

Great for training, best in App Store

2022-11-25

RUN interval makes it easy to set intervals by time and distance and brings functionality that’s missing from every other running app out there. Developers are very responsive and take suggestions seriously. If you are a training for anything, RUNinterval is a no-brainer.

Loving the app

2022-12-26

Really like RUNinterval. Does what is says and is easy to use. Watch interface is great. Can’t wait to see what else RUNinterval can do in the future.

Better than expected

2023-01-27

I Run regularly with people who use Garman. One of the drawbacks with the Apple Watch is that you can’t separate lap time from overall running time. So it gives you averages but it doesn’t effectively separate segments in a way that you can track easily. RUNinterval is perfect. Setting up the intervals for track work is a breeze. Apple health does effectively pick up the segments, as does Strava. I’ve only used it once for a series of sprints, and I’ve been pretty happy with it. I did mine with a hard piece of distance an easy pace of no distance and just a rest and it all worked out. And yes this does sync with Strava. That part could be a little bit more clear.

5 stars

2023-02-28

Easy to customize intervals, plus optional warm up and cool down time. I set up the intervals on my phone and run with my Apple Watch. Post-run, easy to sync to Strava.

Best of all, I had an issue and they actually responded to my email! (And the bug I identified was fixed)

Terrific app!!

2023-03-29

This has been a great help to me in preparing for my first half-marathon. It is easy to use. I pair it with my Apple Watch and don’t need to lug my phone along. I’ve had several questions and Justin has answered them all within the hour. I highly recommend!!

Works perfectly

2023-04-30

I was looking for an app that would track my intervals, connect with Activity/Health and work on my Apple Watch. RUNinterval does all of this and it does it well. It’s very intuitive and it functions perfectly. All this, and it doesn’t require a login. I love it!

Simple and exactly what I needed for walk/run

2023-05-31

I didn’t need the paid version but bought it anyway as a thank you to the developer.

Love it

2023-07-02

Works flawlessly. Set run and walk intervals, number of repeats, and go. Works for walks too with “open run” to record miles. Shows distance, pace, and keeps stats of the number of runs and miles each month. Map of route too.

Simple, but flexible

2023-08-02

I have fallen in love with RUNinterval. It's simple to use, but has so much flexibility. And it integrates with my Apple watch seemlessly (even when I don't take my phone with me on a run).

I run uneven intervals fairly often (90 sec run/90 sec jog, then 3 min run/2 min jog, etc...) and was having trouble finding a simple app that let me easily pre-program them. Now that the indoor mode had been added, I'm even more pleased.

Best Running Interval App I’ve Used

2023-09-03

RUNinterval is phenomenal! You can do everything from a basic, easy run, to detailed, custom speed intervals based upon time or distance goals. It’s pretty intuitive as well, making it easy to setup and use from your phone or watch. RUNinterval could very well replace all of the other run apps I use for training, and it’s extremely affordable! Much thanks to the developer!

This is the one you’re looking for

2023-10-05

If you’re like me and not a pro runner but want to push yourself and pace yourself.. this is RUNinterval . I’ve used C25K in the past and it’s great, BUT it was free then (or maybe a buck, can’t remember). Paying a hefty subscription is ridiculous. RUNinterval has some free features but it’s about $5 to unlock it all (no subscription) and it’s worth every cent. Works just as well if not better than the others. Simple, adjustable, clean. It’s def what you’re looking for.

Amazing

2023-11-05

I have looked for an app like this for a very long time. I love the fact that it can alternate between distance and time in the same work out. I give it the 5th star now that it has an option to type in times and distance in addition to using the (-) and (+). It is intuitive, functional, and effortless to use. I use RUNinterval on ever running workout.

If you need accurate work and rest intervals and some are time and others are distance this the RUNinterval for you.

Works great with Apple Watch!

2023-12-07

When I started running, I went through ALL the subscription running apps and came up short when it came to syncing with the Apple Watch on all of them! Although their plans and training programs are more robust on your phone, they either didn’t work with Apple Watch or were always out of sync.
With RUNinterval, you pay once and you’re done. Then you have the flexibility to create your own interval training program. Syncs great with your Apple Watch and Bluetooth ear buds to cue your intervals!
Highly recommend!

Fantastic app but one issue

2024-01-07

So I absolutely love RUNinterval but I'm not sure if it's the issue of RUNinterval itself or Apple fitness or what but I run this from my Apple Watch and I am an interval runner I love being able to set up so many different intervals as well as seeing my pace difference between the intervals… However when I look at the Mileage in Apple fitness there's a big difference. The run interval app will show, for example 6.7 miles and in the Apple fitness it shows I only ran 6.25 miles...
So I do wish that they matched up better.
Outside of that one issue though this is my go to running app!

Great interval app

2024-02-08

Great interval app to push out to Strava. Works as advertised and makes customizing workouts a breeze. Good Apple Watch interface and audio notifications round out the user experience. A must for any runner looking for the best and easiest way to run interval workouts and push to Strava with ease.
