NaadSadhana is amazing but it’s missing the feature to upload videos and audio files onto NaadSadhana so you can add the different instruments onto it.

A suggestion would be to allow for a raga specific tampura and swara mandal combo. For example a pre-set option for Bhoopali or Yaman at a touch pf a button.

Keep up the work and maybe allow for a few more free options to really get peoples lips wet!

As of now I’m still deciding between this and few other similar apps and this review is only based on the free limited demo version. I love the option of various instruments and percussions and the realistic tabla and Tanpura sound. Tabla beats are pretty good too just wish it had few other variations of same Taal and added more ragas selections.

As an amateur musician I am constantly on the lookout for computer-based tools/apps that can help with my daily practice. Recently I had the chance to try out the beta version of Naad Sadhana and I can honestly say I was floored -- a tabla app that actually listens and adapts to the singer in real time. There is simply nothing quite like this in any genre of music (that I am aware of).

The popular tabla machines/apps are loop based with very limited variety and inadequate even for a beginning student. The closest, in terms of musical sophistication, is iRealPro for jazz which generates rhythm-section accompaniment that sounds authentic and aesthetically sound. However even that is oblivious to the singer -- it doesn't listen and adapt.

When I heard about this app I was frankly quite skeptical that such an app could exist. I was happy to be proved wrong! Over the course of one hour of stress testing, this Turing machine held its own. In fact it consistently made inspired choices like a highly skilled human tabla player would.

It is clearly a labor of love, an inspired creation, both in its concept and in its execution, and so utterly unique that it is unfair to compare it to anything else. NaadSadhana creator clearly cares deeply about musicianship and obsesses about getting the right tone and feel in every phrase. I think this will be the standard bearer for the next generation of music apps.

I cannot believe how much more fun I have practicing with NaadSadhana. I love having the accompaniment of drums, and the instruments have a real feel/sound I have not found in any other app. I look forward to future versions with added ragas. Excellent work done by these developers. Many thanks.

I recent bought and started learning how to use NaadSadhana. Very quickly I was astounded by the sophistication and capabilities of NaadSadhana. I cannot imagine how one can take classical Indian music and write a software with artificial intelligence to create a “live” quality orchestra for your singing! But Mr. Ranade has achieved this impossible feat. If there was a Nobel prize for musical app with artificial intelligence, I would nominate Mr. Ranade for that! My heartfelt thanks to him for his passion, his dedication, his expertise, and incredible knowledge of classic Indian music and software development. A very rare talent indeed.

I recommend every music lover who is interested in singing to acquire NaadSadhana and enjoy the incredible joy that this will bring.

I am totally flabbergasted with the quality, efforts, imagination and potential of NaadSadhana. NaadSadhana is not only an invaluable tool for
daily sadhana, but also a great tool as a personal recording studio. No amount of writing will justify the potential of NaadSadhana. You just have to experience it!

I think it is the best app of its class. More I am using it more I am amazed of it’s quality and ease to use. The developer also promptly answers to emailed questions. I highly recommend it.

To me, learning to sing is a simultaneous refinement of both the ear and the voice. Unfortunately, you're only as good as your ears allow you to be. NaadSadhana is kind of like having the ears of seasoned pro.

The beautiful swarmandal acts as a higher level feedback loop. It creates a raga-sized playground of success for you to play in!

I wholeheartedly recommend NaadSadhana to anyone (at any level of proficiency) wishing to improve their singing.

We recently tried out and purchased this app app. We found it to be very intelligent in a way that it provides seamless accompaniment! We recorded Pasayadan with Tambora, Swarmandal and Harmonium. It is impressive how it provides the right notes for the user at the right time to guide their singing once the underlying Raag is specified. It’s a great piece of work that combines the genius of music and computing! During the few minutes, I sang with NaadSadhana , it made me feel like a professional. I indeed had a concert like experience where I had a swaramandal, perfectly tuned tanpura and a live tabla player playing all at the same time. My favorite is, hands down, the tabla player. Its been 24 hrs since I had this experience but the tabla is still ringing in my mind. I can’t wait to own and use it for my riyaaz on a daily basis. I am sure this is going to take my music to a whole new level. Thanks so much Sandeepji😊🙏.

There are apps which are so bad, that one needs to write a feedback to protect the community.
Then there are apps which do the needful, and there is no serious motivation for giving a feedback for meeting expectations.

...And then there are apps which go way beyond expectations to make the experience of the user pure bliss. Sharing feedback for such apps is essential...not only as a way to positively appraise the fabulous work done by the developer, but also to bring to notice to the music community; that all those who have been searching for that gold standard for practicing music, it’s finally here!

this app has been just that for me..the GOLD standard. As an ardent user, it’s been amazing to see it evolve so quickly and steadily...and excited to see how it continues to unfold.

Honestly, a 5-point scale feels small to establish the rating of NaadSadhana.

Imagine having awesome Indian musicians permanently on call in your home ready to perform with you whether for practice, performance or in the middle of the afternoon when you decide to have an unplanned session. And imagine they have a vast library of knowledge spontaneously changing what they play based on what you were chanting. Imagine you get to control everything. Timing, keys, instruments with zero egos. It’s like having a band that only cares about making you look amazing. That’s what this is. Game changer. I can’t go back to anything else. And neither will you.

I absolutely love NaadSadhana. I was looking for a tool to let me know if I am singing the right notes. I tried every app in the market and spent hundreds of dollars. Finally I found this app. It solved this major problem for me. Now I do not have wait for my teacher to let me know if I am singing the correct notes . I can practice using this app. This has accelerated my learning. I also like the quality of recordings. NaadSadhana creates a nice catalog by adding prefix of raga and tal to your recordings. Now I do not have to use voice memos. I have a feeling that Naadsadha will be a long time companion on my musical journey.

I started using NaadSadhana for riyaz and saw a shift just within a few days. It’s a great experience and it’s like holding a mirror in front for one’s voice quality and pitch.
It’s a great support and enhances your quality of learning when you have to live sessions with the actual Guru.
Will post again in a few months and hope to add the 5th star. I would put this at 4.5 but that option doesn’t exit.
I will rate at 4 for now since It took me a bit of stumbling around to learning how to use/ record

Here is what I love: the swarmandal and the reverb are the best features I find thus far. As for the beats , i really like the levels and style set up. I like the end for taal has a nice closure. No real negatives - other than that while I was mixing the tracks , it shorted a few times. I reset my phone and the. It worked. This bug is on track to get fixed.
Sandeep cares about NaadSadhana so much that he responds within minutes to any questions
Highly recommended for serious practitioners

I love NaadSadhana for its sound quality and it’s intelligence in accompanying while playing / singing. It has come a long way based on inputs received from users and Sandeep Ji has done a phenomenal job by incorporating all requested features and taking it to a different level. NaadSadhana is a blessing for all vocalists to perform with a feel of live accompanists because of built in intelligence in app which creates a dynamic virtual ambience by various instruments. I think with continuous updates NaadSadhana is going to be de facto accompanist for all vocalists because of sound quality , intelligence and inbuilt mixing features. Great job by Sandeep Ranade and this app team!! Highly recommend...

I started learning singing this year, specifically Indian classical singing. And I have to say that NaadSadhana has made my learning experience SO much more effective and fun.

The real time feedback on my singing has made it possible for me to correct my notes as I sing them, rather then needing to wait for my teacher to tell me if I'm sharp or flat every time. And the way it scores my performance makes practicing almost like playing a game. I absolutely love it.

On top of that, the live instruments that accompany my singing sound phenomenal. They sound like real group of professional musicians who are playing with me, and responding to what I do live. Sometimes I just keep the instruments on for hours, just marinating in the raga that I've selected.

I truly believe every singer should have this tool in their pocket!

I’m enjoying NaadSadhana and creativity, but many of my recordings are getting cut off or fast-tracked, and I cannot produce and share a quality piece without this issue occurring. Hope this gets resolved soon.

I often miss the real accompaniment on keys and strings . NaadSadhana does this so well. Regular practice becomes way more enjoyable.
Tabla accompaniment is also very adaptive with mukhadas hitting at regular intervals.
