KUNI Cam: Photo Video Editor. Reviews

I’ve had this app for over a year now, I began using it for travels last summer. Now, I find myself using it multiple times a week!
I am a professional photographer who frequents DSLR and sometimes SLR (film) cameras, though film is more time consuming. That’s where this app comes in. When I don’t have the time/funds to process film, I just click into KUNICam and spend up to 30 minutes customizing my regular iPhone photos into something stylistic and unique. No two presets are the same!
KUNICam offers dozens of filters, light leak presets, film grain(s), editing tools AND date stamps. Pretty ideal for a photographer on the go.
For what it’s worth, the edits I make reflect heavily on my social media profiles. They are often revered as awesome! Thanks this app!

I love how you can apply filters while using the camera or edit a pic from your album. It has endless filters and vintage effects super nice! One more feature to perfection would be to give us the option on the camera mode a different size ratio, please give us FULL screen mode (9:16 ratio) it would be my default camera if only!! PLEASE add this option to the camera mode 📸🙏🏼 other than that KUNICam is amazing you will not regret downloading it, it has a lot of nice free features but the ONE-time pay is so worth it for the extras!

I love KUNICam!! I always edit my pictures using KUNI cam and this is by far my favorite photo editing app. I also use HUJI, and KUNI is a lot like HUJI, but I love them both!! The filters and lights make it look like it’s right off the HUJI app! The only thing I don’t like about it is the update. I sharpen some of my pictures and now when you slide the bar over, it’s skips 1 and automatically goes to 2. I know it seems like no big deal but to me, I see a big difference. I also don’t like how you have to double-click the photo in order for it to bring you right to the editing. I know I sound knit-picky but idk I guess it’s just the little things that count. Aside from that, it’s a great app and I would recommend this to my friends.

The filters give a nice analog touch and are subtle enough (at least when toned down) to avoid a cheesy overprocessed look. The effects are fun and look mostly realistic (but should be applied with care). Also, KUNICam is fast and generally a joy to use. But there is also still room for improvement - some of the features I would like to see in future releases:
- batch editing
- ability to save recipes/custom filters
- ability to open KUNI as extension straight from the native Photos App

I like the filters that it has... lets you create your own flavors from there...
BUT when editing your pictures, the editing tools like : Shadows, Highlights, etc... they don’t work as they do on other editing apps.

When adjusting the shadows, the editing take a few seconds and then gives you an inaccurate results for the amount of editing you did.
The same goes for the other editing tools.

I have tried many, many photo editing apps and even paid into several (way too much) to get the look I wanted. I have had the KUNI app for a long time, and finally decided to pay into it to get more filters. For $2.99 a month, it is a STEAL. I run my own clothing business, so taking pictures and editing them is essential. For less than $3, I can’t complain! Also a great price for just everyday photo editing! Highly recommend!

Specifically for editing videos, KUNICam is amazing!! I love that it’s a one time purchase which is really refreshing and because of that I will always choose KUNICam above others. I am sick to death of subscription-based apps! Great filters and the HSL feature is WONDERFUL! It is super versatile to either make photos and videos vintage-looking or with more modern edits. Thank you for designing such a wonderful app that is affordable!

This is really one of the best apps for a vintage look to your photos and videos. I love that KUNICam is a one time purchase you unlock every filter, both for photos and videos. I feel like it’s a combination of all the great photo apps out there (VSCO, HUJI etc). They keep updating KUNICam too to include new filters and features. Incredibly impressed with the amount of editing you can accomplish after a one time purchase.

It’s so easy to use and worth the price!!
It makes minimal pictures and videos look way nicer and add a different mood to the content.
I honestly don’t have any complaints yet. I’ve been using it for almost a year and it has not glitched, it takes a bit longer to edit longer videos but that’s expected. Quality of pictures and videos remains HD which is perfect for social media posts!

This is sooooooooooo worth the $5!!!! This is such a wonderful app - it has no glitches, it doesn't crash on me - it's absolutely perfect!!!! 😍 It's so much better than Afterlight! 😩😡 I bought Afterlight, and all it does is crash on me!!! I can't save my pictures because all it does is crash on me!! Thank you, KUNI, for never crashing on me!!!!!

Update: Afterlight no longer crashes on me!!!!! 🥰

KUNICam is so nice, I’m glad to have found one where I don’t I have to pay every month. The filters are so pretty! But I have a small problem, (on my part). I want to have premium but apple canceled my card on here to stop other people from using it. So I’d like to know, is there any other way I could get premium without paying from the apple store. Once again, app is wonderful! 💙

Pretty sure I’ve never written a review before but here I am. Kuni cam is truly a great app. I use it all the time as a finishing touch for my photos, and I do photography. The filters are great and there are a bunch of options. The only thing I don’t like is that KUNICam (at least for me) takes up a LOT of storage as I use it more. I have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling it in order to preserve storage. Other than that, I’m a fan.

I’m a long time photographer and avid film user and this is one of the best apps I’ve come across for the ‘analog look’. Not only is KUNICam intuitive and user friendly, but KUNICam is true to its real life counterpart that it’s replicating. I would give KUNICam 5 star review if the developers would add iPhoto plugin support or give the option for control over output resolution. If those two things are implemented this will turn into a 5 star review. Great app! Keep evolving but don’t change the core!

I downloaded a slew of photo editing apps at one time, KUNI, being among them. I deleted the ones I didn’t like as much, but this one has stuck around. It isn’t super restricted (though of course you can use in app purchases for additional effects), and makes the photos look really pretty. I especially like adding the dust effect for a vintage feel. I recommend trying this one! 😊

Currently i am on free version. will purchase the pro version soon. KUNICam offers so much more than other apps! analog filters, leaks, dusts. KUNICam have huji filter which you can apply on your camera roll photo. which is soooo great. it also have vsco x filters on premium version ♥️♥️♥️♥️ please don't change KUNICam like any other app did. I love KUNICam sooo much right now 🖤🖤🖤

KUNICam is the most underrated film camera in KUNICam store! It has a lot to offer and the best of all - No subscriptions! You only need to pay once if you want to have access on the extras and for me it’s super worth the price! Light leaks, dust, vhs effect, edit from camera roll etc! All in there! Highly recommended!

I really like KUNICam and it has a lot that i love about it. The editing finally gives all my pictures that “vintage” feel and i’m so happy because of that. The only thing lately that I’ve been having trouble with is the date stamp. I used to be able to rotate it and position it where I’d want it but lately when i press the rotate button the whole date disappears. Other than that i truly love KUNICam

KUNICam is one of the best editing apps I’ve ever used, you take a picture you can save it with a date or without it, you can add the filters by your choice and you have a lot of other options to edit it the way tou like it to. It has free filters and filter that you can pay too so you have an option in that as well. Thanks!

Love, love, love, KUNICam! Kuni is the easy to use editing app I have been searching for. A friend recommended I download KUNICam and I must say I was hesitant about paying for it but I’m very glad I did. KUNICam has a bunch of cool filters and edits to make your videos come to life. Perfect for editing my travel videos! So happy with the way they all turned out!

BEST EDITING APP EVER. So many free options that work great but also it is SO worth it to buy the premium.

The results are AMAZING!!!!! Makes Instagram pics look 1000 times better and makes it look like you took a professional photo. The light leaks, 3D and glitches, filters, editing, and that trending orange date. Seriously I would rate this 1000 stars if I could.

If you do choose to purchase the premium the price is definitely right. Less than $3 a YEAR. VSCO doesn’t provide such features and costs more than $20 a year.

I highly recommend KUNICam for editing Instagram pics, or just to play around with! You won’t be disappointed.
