I downloaded ModelNow thinking it would help connect me with real people. But it seems that I’m being linked to scam artists. Many of the “casting calls” are in Turkey or Istanbul or other places that don’t offer travel expenses or what the pay will be nor is there an actual link to a site to verify they are legit. And I also don’t think that this site screens these “agencies” to make sure they are legit because there is no way that it’s legal to photograph a 14 yr old girl/boy for nude photos. There is no way to reject these people from spamming you to apply for their “casting call” and I’m notified several times of the same person wanting me to apply for them. I have yet to see an actual agency on ModelNow or site, for that matter, having a casting call. I am sure they might be a few rare actual photographers on here wanting to build their portfolio but they would have a better chance listing under a different agency. Be careful what you post on here. Unless you can verify these people are legit, don’t bother thinking you will be top model/actor/photographer. This site is not the site for that discovery.

I’ve had ModelNow for about a year now and it’s so not worth it!! The ads seem kind of spammy, ModelNow isn’t made well and no one ever gets back to you! In comparison, I used Backstage for casting calls and had much better connection with the casting directors and have actually booked gigs through it. ModelNow doesn’t take away things once you’ve applied, so it just shows the things you’ve already applied to over and over— it’s super annoying.
I do NOT recommend this for anyone trying to get in the industry.

I never write reviews. But my experience with MM has been so terrible I have come on here to tell you to not waste your money. I upgraded my membership to the one-time, yearly subscription, and wasn’t able to use the benefits of that subscription ever. Then, it stopped allowing me to view any castings or apply to any of them. When I reached out to customer support with proof of payment (multiple times before getting any kind of response) they informed me that they were having issues and were working to resolve the problem. A week + later when I reached back out and asked if they had a time-frame as to when my account would be working, they said unfortunately they did not, and it may take some time to resolve the issue.I have now reached out twice asking for a refund with no response. Horrific in all regards.

Don’t trust ModelNow, I already was scammed.
Someone texted me and we organized everything, and then the person said that they will send the check for the payment. But was a fake check and if a charged it my account after 7 days could get negative and I needed to pay to the bank and be they could close my account.
They wanted to me to charge the check ( my payment) take my part and them send the rest to a “ stylist “ but was all fake.

Literally never using ModelNow again terrible customer service they never help you and I canceled my membership in they charged my account and over drafted my account this would all be worth it if I ever got any replies foe jobs and could apply more places but for 20 bucks you can only apply to five places. Now they are saying the subscription can be canceled at anytime which I had common sense to do so why was my account charged again

I was really trying to use ModelNow to build my portfolio but after you make an account they ghost you and keep your account on pending while you pay for there yearly services(it’s the only option they really offer without paying 100%more.
You cannot do anything on ModelNow even if you pay for it without getting “approved”and the support never gets back to you.
There are no clear guidelines to what “approved” means or how long it will take.
This is borderline a scam and,
I would definitely avoid this service at all cost. Super disappointing and disrespectful to people that have put time in there craft to be treated as is they where a criminal or something.

I have paid for this site over week ago. I’m still unable access my membership. Parts of the site don’t load right, customer service emailed 7x no response. Email verification tried 15x now no email sent to my email.

I’m thinking this might be a scam. I’m about give up and report to apple and see if they can put pressure on ModelNow owner get my money back.

Don’t pay for this service. Not worth the headache. Use the bigger competitor MM, etc. at least they get back to you in same day if have issue. This customer support does not exist.

You don’t get replies to these cast ! App is glitchy and keeps logging me out I paid for a subscription so that I can apply to as many as possible and everyday it’s asking for purchase , I just deleted ModelNow after 2 months of no response and taking my money . Even when you reach out to Casting directors directly no response do not use ModelNow it’s a waste of time

I live in LA and needed models for a photoshoot for my new fashion business. After THREE emails to support they would not tell me why I was not verified. Models had applied but I could not message them because I was not verified. Christina from support kept telling me to check my spam. MULTIPLE TIMES I had to tell her I had not received any messages from them. $75 down the drain for models I could not hire due to the horrible verification process. The responses from the team were very dismissive and they did NOTHING to help me get my profile approved.

Don’t waste your time or money with ModelNow. I have tried to delete my subscription over 50 times (not kidding) it won’t allow me to delete my account on ModelNow or the website.

This website just wants to steal your money. I emailed them asking to delete my account and they asked me to send them my ID to delete my account. They only want your ID and credit card info to keep using. I didn’t sign up with my ID so I don’t know why I have to delete my account using my ID. Now I have to call my bank and tell them not to authorize and payments to ModelNow. So annoying!

So as I chose to purchase the year subscription before I chose to subscribe it said it would be somewhere around $8. And some change a month... so I was expecting for that to come out of my account each month. Instead the whole amount came out immediately and it was not $99 it was $107 and some change… So they were not clear that they were going to charge the whole amount immediately, instead they made it seem like they were going to charge you monthly , The eight dollars and some change a month so therefore I feel like it’s not a trustworthy app and I canceled immediately.

I’m a photographer and they advertise as letting you get a free account to start with but, unless you pay any money, your account will be “pending verification” for a long time. I emailed their support team once 24 hours had past since I requested approval and I got an email back right away saying some accounts take up to 48 hours to verify. After about a week of my account still not being verified by them I emailed them again and they sent the same exact email about waiting 48 hours. I then realized that Unless you pay for something , your “free account” literally gets you nothing…

This could be a great app! The website and ModelNow is just too slow! It takes forever for pictures to load or to move around the website and ModelNow! It’s just too slow! Has the potential! Has a great look and love the idea! Wish there was a way to see who likes our pictures/profiles or who follow us or the option to follow back! Will go use another app or website like Model Mayhem for now

I would give it a 5 star for what all it can do and even with a free account (although I can only apply for 1 per month) I am recovering many castings calls. However I’ve tried to email them to upgrade my account since ModelNow was not letting me pay for the $19/mo and I still have no response. It kept declining my card even though I had more than enough. So now I just decide to look for another service to help get me noticed.

Hello, I paid for a subscription with you guys but whenever I tried to apply for a casting it would say that it was expired. (Doesn’t end till 2022) I tried contacting you guys for help but couldn’t find a phone or email

I was happy to see that MM had an app. Because I didn’t always wanna use the website. I looks really good. But there are a few things that should be fixed, like our profile should have more tabs. And I think there is a glitch when I try to see who “love” me. Under favorites, it just craps out. I tap the tab and it blacks out and takes me to my home screen on my phone. Only when I press that tab. It is also a little slow. But overall it is a good app! I’ve been thru countless other modeling websites and none of them seems to be as developed, up to date and useful as this one. Most don’t have their own app. So if certain tweaks are made this could be the best app to find work and start modeling.

All you need is an account. After completing your profile, you'll be able to apply to castings and there are so many opportunities out there.

The opportunities that i have seen here you’re not gonna be able to find it in other places as much as they are!!!

I love how easy it’s to find exactly what you need. From models and castings, it allows you to show your whole range as a model and find unthinkable opportunities !

Model management is one of the best modeling platform out there , they are very professional an the communication is awesome . We get to work with amazing clients from around the world what more can a model ask for .. great job model management ✔️

Besides being slow and glitchy, I’m no longer able to access my messages. Not via app nor even on website. In app it just shows blank page. On website gives error 404. Also I haven’t applied to any castings in weeks but today upon trying to do it - it asked me to upgrade to Premium Membership if I want to apply for “more” of them.

Model Mayhem is better simply because u can apply to more than 1 casting per month on their free account... this is just a way to get our money, I’ll be closing my account, I’m not waiting a whole month just to apply to a casting I might not get chosen for. That’s y I gave 1 star.

Really not sure what’s going on. I checked my email this morning and I see my profile picture of other photographers. So I click on it and it gave me a 502 error. I’m not sure if they are fixing a few bugs and closed down ModelNow and page for a little bit but this is weird that it’s not working.

I just deleted ModelNow . My profile has been pending approval for a few weeks. I contacted support nothing was done. Looks like a good app if you need it and will work for you. But I don’t really need it. And it doesn’t work.

Atm I have a free account, due to this crazy COVID-19 and they’re aren’t many things you can do with the free account. But I’m serious about pursuing my modeling career, so it’s an investment I’m willing to make

I’ve always wanted to get into modeling and ModelNow is truly the perfect and easiest way to do so. So thankful that I found it. Easy to use and so many different gigs and opportunities to choose from!

Was able to create my profile in 5 minutes and start browsing castings in my area. Beautiful app, easy to use.

ModelNow is really easy to use and is really easy to set up an account. Also really easy to find new castings and collaborations

The design is very clean and ModelNow doesn’t seem buggy at all. I love having access to castings 24/7!

I like ModelNow because it’s easy to use and lets me know about the castings in my state in my city.

Makes it quick and easy for me to find available talent.
