Word City: Connect Word Game Reviews

Love this game. I am a word game fanatic and would love to play more often however…. There is an ad after EVERY round. And the rounds are finished rather quickly so it gets real bothersome real quick. I fully understand the need for developers to make money off of free games. But I have never come across a game that has a 20 second ad after every 15 second round. I have played much more in depth and involved games with only a fraction of ads that this game has. just overkill on the ads.

I haven’t even had the chance to play this game because they won’t remove the ads! I bought the game for $2.99, the usual fee for a game to be played without ads. I contacted them through their “support” 4 or 5 times, I’ve lost count! I even sent them a screen shot of my App Store bill showing that I paid for the ads to be removed, but they’ve still never responded! POOR COMMUNICATION!! If you’re like me and don’t like having 30 second ads of annoying games after every 2nd or 3rd game, even after you’ve paid for them to be removed — this is not a game you’ll enjoy!!!!

The game is very fun and has a sleek design but an ad after every level is kinda ridiculous? I could understand if it was every 2-3 levels… but you can finish each level in less than 15 seconds and then watch an ad for 20-30 seconds. I’m literally spending more time watching ads than playing the game. “You can buy the package for 2.99 or whatever to stop the ads” or I could just not play the game? I’d love to continue playing but like I said an ad every level is ridiculous and an absolute waste of time.

Word city is a word game like no other. It’s not just about solving puzzles; it’s about exploring the world’s most iconic cities and landmarks. The blend of crossword puzzles, word searches, and word puzzles provide endless variety. What sets word city apart is its offline mode. It makes this game a great travel companion. It keeps me hooked and entertained for hours on end.

This game gets you hooked! I really like word puzzles to begin with. My first experience was how easy it is to download and install and to get in the game it’s a breeze. As I kept playing the levels it get more challenging. I feel it wakes up my brain to think outside the box. Worth downloading. This is a sponsored review.

Everything was great until I get to the 400th level and now every time it goes to an ad, It just gets hung up and I have to completely close out of the game. In doing so, I lose out of any coins I should’ve received. I have already tried updating to the most recent version of the game and most recent software version on my iPhone. I love this game so what should I do from here?

Thank you for this wonderful game that helps my brain!!! I have a learning disability, it is not easy for me to get it going, but I really enjoy it since my brain is exercising and at the same time, I’m having a great time!!!

I only got through 15 levels before I had to delete WordCity. Still early in the process so the games were very easy. Take you seconds to complete a level, then an ad after every level…so frustrating! Not worth your time!

Why all the ads? I understand you have to have the ads to help pay your finances, but do you have to have an after each game? That’s ridiculous! I like this game a lot other than the ads, but I will still delete it! I wouldn’t mind watching full 30 second ads after about 10 games or so.

I love to work on puzzles that allows me to think. At 83 I don’t want my brain to be idle, and enjoy the challenge of searching for words

Fun game of word search/crossword puzzle. Great idea, relaxing yet challenging. X-words are set against cityscapes, very creative and fun.

previous shading issue has been resolved but for some reason they made the squares smaller. my poor eyes :(

*new version erases progress on current puzzle. twice i almost completed a puzzle, put my phone down, and WordCity restarted and erased my progress on the puzzle i’d been on

It’s the best feeling when your cat has been out there since day three lol and then they have the worst reaction ever

I quite like WordCity because it helps you remember the different cities in the world. And some other words.

It really helps me to think harder for answers. I’m 77 years old, but trying to improve my memory .. This game really helps.. Thank you❤️😊🙏

Overall a great game, I love playing it while I wait for other games to refresh. But I wish I could tell what level I was on. I like to keep track of how far I make it in games.

I noticed two other reviewers who asked about how to know which levels we’re on. What’s the update?

Every morning before school I always play to this game to get my brain going and it’s just so fun and I that it’s challenging

I get you need to make that ad revenue money but it's pretty egregious to have it every single level. Maybe after every 3 levels or every set?

This is a calming activity, better than taking tranquilizers in this fast paced environment that we live in.

I would happily give you a 5+ stars. But there is an aggravating ad after every play. Very annoying. I could handle the ads if it was after 4-5 puzzles. But after every play? Nope.

I’m am college educated but because a Truck hit me in 2003. I no longer thought I could think critically.I’m no longer working but my college education still guides me. I’m a registered nurse for twenty three years. I know longer work but this game proves that I still know how to think. Thank y’all.

this app is an engaging and addictive word game that enhances language skills. It challenges your mental agility and expands your vocabulary as you creatively construct cities from letters. Building cities by cleverly arranging letters is not only fun but also a great way to learn and improve your language proficiency!

This game has been so fun I just love how much stuff you get from winning the game and they just give you a lot of rewards. But if your acoustic it’s kinda hard to find the right words.

And I don’t like the square edges on the crossword squares. I liked the borders on each letter.

I just started playing this game and I like it, but two things: I’m waiting for more challenging games and also it would be great to get the moving of the letters to be faster than they are right now.
Right now you have to push down on the first letter and then go to the next letters and that part is just way too slow.
I hope this can be corrected immediately!😊

I really like this game because it has barely any ads and it is just very addicting. I’m sorry this is a very short review but I just wanted to say that.

The game is lots of fun, but my only gripe is when a location is completed and goes into the book, there is not enough time to read the location’s description. Can this be fixed?
