UsynligO should not need you to select “always” to enable gps tracking. “While using” should be all it needs. The rationale offered is due to poor programming or is completely bogus.
If you care about being continuously tracked or would like more battery life you will need to select “always” when using UsynligO then select “never” when finished. This is a needless hassle, well, obviously.
Some apps, maybe all of them that use positioning data, can use or sell your location data for the purposes of ad targeting. Government agencies currently can also obtain this data without a warrant.
Something to consider.

UsynligO has saved orienteering for my school team. There are so many ways to improve this, but in general, it is a wonderful start to many possibilities. KEEP GOING TROND! Don’t let this idea stagnate. You will not regret your contribution to orienteering if you continue to improve on this.

UsynligO is great!
I wish there was an option for the organizer to turn off the hints so it could be used for competitions (within the limitations).
I wish the main communication wasn’t on Facebook as I don’t have (and don’t want to have) a FB account.

A few kinks - like breaking my tracking mid way through. Hope I can fix this. Otherwise it’s pretty amazing.
Yes. UsynligO is quiet safe to use but use with caution. This is based on our NLP (Natural language processing) analysis of over 12 User Reviews sourced from the Appstore and the appstore cumulative rating of 3.7/5 . Justuseapp Safety Score for UsynligO Is 25.3/100.
Yes. UsynligO is legit, but not 100% legit to us. This conclusion was arrived at by running over 12 UsynligO User Reviews through our NLP machine learning process to determine if users believe the app is legitimate or not. Based on this, Justuseapp Legitimacy Score for UsynligO Is 39.1/100..
UsynligO works most of the time. If it is not working for you, we recommend you excersise some patience and retry later or Contact Support.
In Score orienteering, the user can choose which order to visit the control points in, and the user collects points for every control point found.
If you would like to use it in conjunction with physical flags, it also lets you print QR codes and use a QR code at each location for validation that a control has been found (for accurate timing).
There are no physical flags in the course, but the app tracks your locations and notifies you with a sound when you have found the next control point.
You can also choose to publish your elapsed time to the UsynligO server and be included in the result list for the course you have run.The result list will include how many "hints" you have used, in addition to your time and split times.
UsynligO basically lets you arrange orienteering practices and races without the hassle of putting physical flags in the forest.
Press start and navigate to the next control point using the printed map.
If you want to publish a new map so other users can run your course, you can go to and upload your maps.
It is also possible to access courses from Livelox, which means you can rerun Livelox courses if you already have the map.
The app supports both traditional orienteering and also Score Orienteering.
Select an orienteering map from the app and print it.
If you get lost you can ask UsynligO for a "hint" with the direction and distance to the next post.
The app includes a compass so you only need the printed map and your phone to run a race.
The courses can be available for as long as you determine.
