Despite what they say, Spotahome won't protect you against dishonest landlords, it won't issue refunds or represent you in case of disputes. Scamming landlords will lie in the listings (don't trust the "Verified by Spotahome" label, it doesn't mean anything), will use tricks to prevent you from verifying the state of the apartment at the time of checkin, and no matter how much you document these issues with Spotahome during your stay, they will do NOTHING if a landlord decides to lie to keep part of even your whole deposit. Instead, Spotahome will protect dishonest landlords to the end, because they are the ones who have the properties that Spotahome wants to make money out of. Even if you decide to return the property early because of a bad experience, Spotahome won't refund you either. It's basically the perfect facilitator for dishonest landlords to scam tourists. PUT YOUR SAFETY AND YOUR MONEY FIRST, DON"T USE SPOTAHOME.

The idea is good but the system is not reliable. First time to use and have done two bookings which were available and none of the were confirmed. Customer service is an artificial intelligence machine that does not support you at all. Finally, pricing is little tricky. If you use the app you do not understand why an announced price is so different than the one finally offer. Only understood when used the desktop version where you can understand the different rates per month. In summary, the idea is good but the model still needs to improve a lot to be reliable.

I never write reviews so that has to tell you something. I had a terrible experience with the place I booked and costumer service said they couldn’t do anything because I didn’t report it in the first 24 hours ,BUT THEY WERE THINGS THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN IN THE FIRST 24 hours!! I wished someone had warned me so I hope this helps someone else! Please don’t use this service!!
