Horrid customer service, and doesn’t properly vet its hosts. By not providing reviews, you won’t know if your landlord is someone who will be a great person, or a horrid person to live under. Also, the price doesn’t seem justified. You will save money using Airbnb or any other site besides this one. I regret signing a contract through Spotahome and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We are going to Spain in mid-September and booked an apartment through Spotahome. They were responsive when we were trying to rent the place, and so far, the experience had been good. However, last week, our landlord informed us that they were no longer working with the platform due to issues with the Spotahome team and asked us to cancel the reservation. We immediately emailed the customer care team to inform them of the situation but have only received inadequate responses from different agents who do not seem to have read the thread.
We are now without an apartment and without firm confirmation about when the approximately USD 2.3K will be refunded to our credit card. As time is of the essence in finding a new place to stay, we urgently need our funds to be refunded before we proceed in a different direction.

Booked an apartment after two other failed attempts. Had a lot of pressure to find a place. When finally having a landlord agree, I got a call from Spotahome. I explained to the agent prior to confirming I need a rental agreement for a National ID - and the agreement can not be transitorio, the agent said he will confirm with landlord before charging my card. The agent never called back - and my card was charged. I got in contact with landlord and he DOES NOT give legit contracts for document purposes. I tried to explain my situation, he did not care. I emailed Spotahome and I was informed since it was less than 30 days to moving in I could
not be refunded. Thanks for NOT being honest and NOT doing your job.
