Lens Buddy - Self Timer Camera Reviews

I rarely care to write reviews about apps but i had to for this one, ive tried similar apps but wasn’t happy with how grainy and blurry my pics would turn out and rhere would be an obvious difference between pics from those apps and pics from my regular iphone 8+ camera (which is my favorite but the timer and burst settings are not a lot to deal with.

this app is the closest thing ive found quality wise to my reg iphone camera quality and i love it so much. Only suggestion i have is to continue to improve the lighting feature as i think it may be a bit too sensitive and just the slightest move of a the finger to adjust it and it does too much. An autolock on focus feature would be really neat too. However i still love it so much and recommend it to all my friends 💜

Ever since I started using LensBuddy I’ve been able to take my own photos that are great quality and you can take as many photos as you want! I definitely recommend LensBuddy for all ages and it is super easy to use with no additional fees. LensBuddy is super convenient if you ever need to take a picture by yourself and you don’t have a photographer to take it, LensBuddy is absolutely amazing I’m so glad I found it and downloaded it!

I used this to take some headshots for work. Is it just me or does it take a while before the timer actually starts going? I have it set to every 3 seconds but when I click the start button, feels like I’m waiting 5-8 seconds before it starts going.

I like the thumbs up and down options. I was combing through my thumbs up photos to pick which ones to save — after saving, it automatically goes back to the camera. It would be nice that you stay where you are after saving a photo.

A tap to focus and utilizing portrait mode would be nice! And more flexibility with how many photos you want to take at a time and with the seconds as well. But these are my thoughts after using LensBuddy once for about 40 minutes!

i don’t normally write reviews for apps but this one really has the potential to be perfect! i love the concept and all of its features. unfortunately, LensBuddy crashes whenever i go through the photos i’ve taken (usually multiple times). additionally when i go to save my favorites to my camera roll i either don’t get all of them, OR end up with a bunch of duplicate photos. i’ve deleted all the photos off LensBuddy , updated it to the latest version, updated my phone, and tried uninstalling/reinstalling. i’m at a loss! i really think once these things are worked out it’ll be a great app!

This is neat and user-friendly app that does exactly what it should do with enough customized settings. It’s free and without in-app purchase or ads. I’m so grateful.

However, there is a small problem when I wanna airdrop my 2000 photos to my Mac — it always failed. (It works when not that many photos tho) (And I successfully send the photos by Files connecting my Mac SMB server in the end. )

I assume there is something wrong with the file saving and transfer bc I find out the number of photos in LensBuddy doesn’t match the number airdroping to the Mac (like 969 in LensBuddy and 935 in my Mac), or if I save them to the photos app, the number is much smaller (like 969 to 786).

It would be better if LensBuddy could zip the selecting photos first, then pop up to show the sharing option, which would guarantee all the photos sending as one file.

This is could be really great App but there are a few issues with it. First-always crashes when you go through your pictures that you did. I will try to change settings to save my pics directly on my phone, not in an App itself.

Second thing-it saves your pictures as JPEG which gives you poorer quality from normal iPhone photos taken with selfie remote control. Maybe they will add different types of files to choose from like HEIF (this is how my iPhones photos are being saved).

Overall good App with (I hope) potential.

I need to be able to send photos of myself to my instructor who teaches what steps you should take to stop back pain. My pain is gone completely and I need to keep using the posture techniques I learned. I send her photos of me sitting, videos of me walking, photos of me bending in the garden so she can analyze and give tips on making further progress. So for me, an important reason to take photos using Lens Buddy since I live alone.

I’ve been looking for something like this for a while now and LensBuddy is literally perfect. It makes it so much easier for me to take pictures alone, my friends were tired of me asking them. I can just set it up and take a bunch of pictures. I also love how you can organize it in LensBuddy so I don’t have to save a million pics I don’t like.

I love this! I model pieces for work and it’s easier to just do it myself without having to ask somebody to take the pictures or try to hide a remote clicker! I love the new update but there are a few things that I don’t like.
1. I have an iPhone 11 and on LensBuddy it automatically goes to wide angle. I would rather it start out at normal and I’d be able to zoom out if I choose to use it.
2. On selfie mode I’d love to see a tap to focus!

I’ll be honest, I don’t often rate things. LensBuddy requested I give them a rating and usually I would tap no but I stopped and thought about how LensBuddy is actually genuinely useful and good. It’s been a great help with taking pictures and storing. I love it and would highly recommend over just your phone’s camera and timer function.

I desperately needed an app to take my pics for a school project and learned how to use this within seconds of downloading it. LensBuddy has settings where you can change the timer to the seconds you want between pics and you can change how many pics you take from 10-unlimited! Five mfckin stars!!!!

Honestly this is one of my favorite apps instead of using a little clicker when the battery dies you can literally just uses it and it will take Hella pictures for you also if you don’t have best friends who get good angles for you just get this an iPhone stand and you good

I recently downloaded LensBuddy and fell in love with it. It made it a lot easier for me to take pictures with friends, myself and just in general overall. However, I was taking a bunch of pictures the other day, probably around 1000 or so cause I had it on repeat and absolutely none of them saved:/ I don’t know if there is anyway they could be resurfaced but either way it was a huge disappointment considering how much I’ve depended on LensBuddy .

I normally take pictures by myself for ig on a tripod and LensBuddy makes it SO much easier! My only complaint is the pictures do sometimes turn out a bit blurry or grainy from back or front camera which is fine I normally can fix it but my biggest issue is it’s ALWAYS crashes, in the middle of going through pictures or even taking pictures. It’s not such a big issue I can’t use it but very annoying. Other the. That LensBuddy is great!

this app has been amazing with helping me getting actually good photos of myself. It’s super easy to use and I love all of the different options it has for taking the photos. I also love how it has the rating button so you can easily delete the ones you don’t like. Definitely worth having and I HIGHLY recommend LensBuddy!!

This has saved me so much, I really recommend LensBuddy for those who are very indecisive with choosing pictures to post on any social media platforms. As well as struggling to find someone to take pictures for you, there is a self timer mode that can take up to how many pictures you prefer!

A huge feature suggestion I would love for you to add is the ability to use the apple watch as a viewfinder so I can strap it on the back of the phone and use the better back camera.

I would love LensBuddy if it would stop crashing on me every time I use it. I appreciate how conveniently all the photos are put into their own album by date and the timer settings, but to load a single image takes 30+ seconds and if I scroll more than a few photos the entire app crashes. I’ve tried deleting all the data off LensBuddy and starting fresh and it will still crash. Every. Time. I’m so fed up with the poor quality useless updates.

I absolutely love LensBuddy it’s exactly what I needed I’m so glad you guys came up with it! However one thing I believe would be really helpful is if there was some type of indication that a photo has been taken. Like if you’re standing a bit far or in sunlight it can be hard to see the little timer going. Maybe if the screen flashed white really quick? That would be very helpful!! Thanks!

Great quality app! Helps when traveling alone and I can take pics without asking someone and they steal my phone. Life saver!

LensBuddy has been essential with social distancing and taking nice photos! Better yet, it says please!

I really want to use LensBuddy but i can’t even change the timer settings. I know it’s supposed to be located at the top middle of the screen but for iphone 10 users and up, it’s not there due to the way our screen is. I can’t even see the option. Please fix icon placements!!
