Cleo is kind of useless. It provides parenting articles that can be found on Google and to schedule an appointment you have to go back and forth with some random unrelated person. I also have maven app for comparison and it's so much better, I can schedule directly appointments with all types of experts.
There really is nothing about Cleo that is worthwhile for anyone who is beyond their first kid.
It’s just informational and not even information that is particularly difficult to find.
For those that like the support of an an app sure, go for it. For those that would rather an actual person to be an advocate for you, get a doula.
This is the first time I ever write a review, but never I’ve seen before an app so aggressive on how it asks for private information. It asks so many personal questions, which are completely irrelevant for my use cases (what do you care how my child was fed after birth if all I want is a babysitter ?). I understand the developers want to personalise the experience, but giving you a ton of personal data up front with no explanation whatsoever how it’s going to be used is not the way to do it. How do I know you are not selling all my data away anyway ?
I was really interested in using this app’s services, but being forced to indicate whether or not my child was breastfed or who gave birth to them during the onboarding is incredibly invasive and irrelevant to many of the services offered. If this information becomes relevant later, like when a parent indicates they need help with newborn feedings, it would be appropriate to ask for it, but certainly not as a requirement to start using Cleo . Parents need support, but that should require giving up privacy.
Received a this app benefit through my employer and tried several times over months to onboard in Cleo . Received different error messages and activation errors. Cleo is certainly in beta at best and not worth downloading.
When you try to register, you are immediately asked for your child’s birth history including whether they were adopted, carried by surrogate, identify as a different gender than their birth, if they were breastfed or not, etc. If I just want to get help with finding a preschool or transportation for my child, why is any of this information relevant?? I should be able to get the help I need without giving up my child’s entire birth story, when it’s not relevant at all to what I need.
Please make these types of fields optional and only request the information you need for the services someone is trying to use. I can’t use Cleo in good faith until that enormous privacy concern is addressed.
Cleo crashes constantly. It also requires an update almost every time I open it. When Cleo works, the service is great. I have it as an employee benefit.
Love all the help provided by this app. But, the chat system in Cleo is a little hard to navigate.
App seems good, but the UI top and bottom seems cut off on a iPhone 13 Pro

Awesome service to help me navigate the challenges of having a child. My this app Guide has been amazing at answering all my questions.
Me and my wife are new parents. this app was with us right through everything answering any questions we had. They also had pointers to great resources which provided us with a lot of peace of mind through the pregnancy and initial phase of taking care of our newborn.
The support & solution finding is always there when i need it the most, for both my family and me.
Our baby guide was tremendous. Having that support to answer anything…even in the middle of the night was soooo huge.
Such a great app for expectant parents! Having a personal guide and access to such valuable information makes me more confident in my decision making as a new parent to be!
The this app app has very knowledgeable and friendly guides that has helped my family navigate some difficult times being a parent. Very thankful I found this app.
I am so lucky this is a perk with my job…it’s amazing to have someone just a text away with helpful advice and resources. Parenting is overwhelming at times and sometimes you just need an expert.
Cleo is so helpful! I get questions answer so easily without going to google and wondering which answer is correct! My guide is so helpful! Cleo even sent me a gift after i had my baby! I came home to a package from them ! Love it
Truly don’t know where I’d be without Cleo and so thankful my company offers this app as a benefit. Unlimited expert advice, guidance, and answers for everything parenting? AND all for free?? Thought it was too good to be true but it’s not.
