A fort building game not for free to play players. Better get in a large, high ranking alliance, or everything you do will be destroyed by other attacking alliances. No real point to the game, and as far as the "Civil War" part, you don't fight on actual battlefields, the states are numbers, there's no strategy or tactical intelligence involved, the names of people who existed then you can only purchase the talents to unlock them, or just hope the "gold chests" drop enough to get the pieces to unlock them. They could just have easily called it something else, cause it doesn't really have anything to do with the Civil War.

You basically spend all your time researching how to gather goods faster, and that's really it. I played for two months, put up a 7 day "shield" so I could gather strength in peace, and while I slept within minutes of the shield going down a larger alliance just continuously attacked me. 100k troops gone. What is the point of that? There was no larger mission to accomplish, no greater goal to strive for. Just infinite build, get attacked, back to square one, and do it again. Expected a risk type of game and got this instead. No thanks.

Been playing for a year now. This game used to be great. It was possible to compete when I was new and small in power. However recent changes have made it impossible for the new players to be competitive. You will never be relevant in gameplay if you don’t spend a lot of money. I did spend, but will not drop another dime. The recent update doesn’t work. The game is so glitchy, it’s unplayable.

The game has a monthly event called st37. This event was the highlight of the game. But like many other things that used to be great, the devs have ruined it. The rewards that were given were especially critical for smaller players, but those rewards are gone from the event and those smaller and newer players will have to open their wallet to obtain them.

If you are or was a Game of War player. This game was a great alternative. However they are making the exact same mistakes that ruined that game. I’d avoid this one at all costs. Hopefully devs will listen to their many disgruntled players and return this game to the great version it used to be.

I played this game for a solid year and here’s my take.

First off, the game has literally NOTHING to do with the civil war. There are no civil war battles, no civil war strategy. Nothing except the mention of historical names on otherwise completely unrelated aspects of the game. If you’re downloading it because you’re a civil war buff like me, forget it.

If you’re downloading it for a strategy game, find something else. There are many newer, more robust, and better supported games out there in WarandPeace Store with a larger community of players. War and Peace is nothing but a reskinned engine of some other game made by erupublic labs and the player base is dying.

Since I began playing, we lost more than half of the player base on our server. You would think no big deal, just go to another sever (or state as the game calls it), but you can’t do that.

Some of the people in this game are extremely toxic. Don’t even think about telling anyone personal information, because people will stalk you online and harass you. I’ve seen it happen to countless players.

Finally, the game play. It can be fun coordinating with alliance mates, but past that it’s awful. Numerous glitches and issues lead to lots of lost time, effort, and money. The devs claim they will support you, then do nothing to fix the game. They just want you to buy packs to rebuild.

Please, for your own sake avoid this game and do not contribute hard earned money to these sketchy Romanian developers.

I thought the game will be about Civil War but I only spent about five seconds because I knew it was going to be boring the whole time there no war action you basically just sit in a wagon do not Play it they literally have a Photoshop screen about another game🫠🫠🫠👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 I watched a video on it it was a ad to help promote it I decided to check it out but the ad look kind of sketchy I feel like I’ve seen it before because it literally use another person‘s add an AI voice chat in put a bunch of Civil War stuff in it I could where do we see the original video because the photo shot was that bad how do you say to check it out to give it a chance and I immediately knew that I got scam😡😡😡😡🤓Nice to spend a lot of my time playing war games because it really interesting me and when I played it I read a lot of a book about the Civil War and there’s nothing in it like I said before there’s basically a wagon that you travel for loot I guess🤷‍♂️ OK this is the end of it

I started playing this game because my husband was playing and at the time encouraged me to start. We both got into the same alliance. It’s your typical war game; you always have the players that trash talk opponents and invite hits, it’s all part of the game, I recognize that. My husband and I ended up moving away from the alliance hive so we would have a better chance of farming and development without being hit if our shield dropped, which actually gets tiresome and intrusive on real life always having to remember every 3 days to put a shield up (quit a game that was actually really fun and I liked the people because of the whole shield thing intruding on real life). After getting hit several times because he forgot to shield, then the same thing with myself we both quit playing. We both broke our own rule; don’t spend real money on fake money, and bought packs which turned out to be a waste. I left behind a lot of gold when I quit. Once you get in and do all the stuff; upgrade something, start troops growing, maybe kill a few monsters there really isn’t anything else to do. If you like war play games there are certainly better ones out there.

This game is like all others pay to play no way a new base competes without buying because you can only open new commanders in the event they introduce them other than that you have to buy them. Glitches are constant and you get an automated response that it is nothing on their end it is your connection. I have played this game for a long time but it is more because of the friends I made not the game itself. The game will glitch and you take advantage of the glitch and erepublic takes away your accounts due to a glitch in the game that they should catch not punish the players. They give big spenders extra incentives so they keep playing but the every once in a while spender gets nothing. Good luck if you decide to start from scratch in this game and not spend you will not have fun for a very long time.

I thought this game might be fun to play. I never paid for any subscriptions or enhancements for this game. In the beginning, trying to learn the game, building a fort and an army, creating an alliance, and attacking other players was somewhat fun and interesting. I do prefer to be an army of one and playing as a lone wolf. I was hoping as I continued to play, it would get even better. It hadn’t changed. The game was still the same; gather resources, build troops, research technologies, all of which took too much time on the clock counter to create. After 2 months of playing on a regular basis, I deleted my account. One of the main reasons why I finally deleted my account was because, I think, my account/player/alliance got hacked. I put the game down after applying a 3 day peace shield, when I picked up the game the next day, somehow I was made president of the state and my peace shield was deactivated. I don’t know how it happened or who did it! That shady play or trick was the final straw! One feature I think the game should employ is, you shouldn’t be attacked unless you’re actually logged in and playing the game. In my opinion, save yourself time, enjoy real life, and stay away from a time consuming no fun game.

This is a pay to play game. Meaning if you don’t pay don’t waste your time playing. In short if we have to pay to play then we should have access to the game and the account we paid for. When I try to log into my account and your software is stuck on loading for over an hour then I have a problem with paying you for an account I developed and have no access to. When I pay to use Microsoft word using my account it doesn’t stop working and deny me account access. When I pay for my account on Adobe it doesn’t stop working and deny me account access. I am not accessing this on anything other than my iPad through my Apple account. There shouldn’t be a need to secure an account that should already be secured with Apple. Please fix these issues. As for the refund it is quit simple. Make sure your software works and I can access my account through my iPad or give me the money I used to develop my account that is only a week old. This was very frustrating to have the game lock up and dump on me. It shouldn’t be this way.

Typical of this type of game. If you expect to grow quickly… It will take $$. Slow is really really really slow. You can expedite by joining a good Alliance. Repeating a good alliance. There are bugs and glitches. Lag time or a bounce can kill you and also cost that real coin you just put in. Also Shields which are purchased in game packs at $20 a pop are not a guarantee. In an disagreement with game officials as I type. Progress is slow.. You have to be in this game for the long haul. As you gain power however more opportunities arise within the game. Yes it has those players… Just keep in mind long haul.. I continue to play the game. Just beware… of costs and that what you buy may not work as it can be taken down without knowledge…

Needs some serious updates. The update released today won’t let me in the game on iPad or iPhone so don’t know how much has been improved if anything. It isn’t just the bugs that are a problem, it’s game design as well. There is no search feature. You can’t search for friends or targets or resource locations or anything... you can type in specific coordinates on the map but u have to already know where something is for that to be useful. When in an alliance and sending reinforcements to someone, you have to un-shield to do it... completely negates one of the benefits of being in an alliance. You can also join an alliance that is in a completely different state than you but then you can’t teleport there!? Hopefully some of this stuff will improve but I’m losing interest fast.

I spent lots of money getting my base to a level 22 but can’t seem get any higher than unless you spend tons of money. The food disappears real quick of the gathering tiles do I spend all my time gathering food it getting real boring cause I doing the same thing over and over gathering food that disappears way to quick for amount give of tiles then when spend bucks 200 million of food it is gone in three days. Not sure how much longer I will cause this reason tired of doing same thing over and over and over gathering food that is gone as fast as you get it. Tiles 5 ought have 10 million on as fast your team makes it disappear even up keep boosters on.

Given the background of the gameplay, it was no surprise to see the n-word being used in chat. Not sure if this is their way of realistic role play or just the feeling that given the nature of the game, that it would be acceptable.

It is questionable as to why their isn’t a way to report such behavior. I did block the individual in question but what was unfortunate is the fact that no one questioned or admonished the player for doing so. It may be that it’s so common place that they just ignore it and believe it’s common for the game or, it’s easier to just block it since there is no way to report it.

The game play is okay, going to continue to play it just to see how it goes. It is promising but I say after the third player block I will delete the game.

The game itself I’d give 5 stars if we’re not for the glitches and so many issues, I’ve been charged twice for one package purchased several times I’ve bought packages and not received the rss, and any time I’ve tried to contact support in 3 months I have only gotten the “ outgoing server is not connected please try again later” last 37 event I bought port to get into 37 and sent troops gathering they returned to state 22, I had to buy back 3 times, hit monsters and forts over and over and didn’t gain one power point the whole time, won alliance events 6 weeks in a row 1st place and didn’t place top 100 in state either time. #2 and #3 in alliance placed in top 25 in state. Losin GB money not getting items paid for and being double charged with no way of contacting support to fix it is not a good thing.

The game is fun to play even though it is much like other games that involve collecting resources and building up a city. My problem with the game is that there needs to be some sort of equalization when it comes to attacking other players. If a player has half a million troops, they should be allowed to only attack other players of a similar rank. What happens now is high ranked players bully newer low ranked players. Eventually lower ranked players just give up and quit because they can never catch up after being attacked repeatedly. So if you want me and hundreds of other players to stay and maybe spend some real money, this issue needs to be fixed.

This is a fun game if you like FarmVille and spending a lot of money, otherwise you will be bullied. If you can’t spend a good amount of time, don’t get started. There are idiots in this game that have spent thousands. I can’t count on one hand the amount of guys that said they were getting divorced because they can’t put this game down.

There are total losers on this game that have done nothing in their lives. In order to feel like somebody they have spent waaaay too much and brag about their pretty wives. Guess what, it doesn’t change that you are a loser. People eventually see through your attempt.

Granted most games charge for you to play and maximize your base to the fullest and yes there is that option but I have always been into strategy games such as red alert, world at war, etc and this game for being free is amazing, updates are constant. The only reason I give 4/5 is the option of buying packs. Yes it is a choice and we don’t have to but I just believe some games are free and sometimes lame when if you spend $100 you get 6months work done in one day in game but it is what it is I love the graphics and the game how far it’s come from when I first started to now. You can tell developers work constantly on updates and customer support. The holiday themes were awesome and nostalgic as I miss them now. I can’t wait for the holiday season again because of those game lol. I want them to have more Battle For the Union Events in State 37. This used to be a great game and I used to love playing it and spending hard earned money on it, well the developers did some shady stuff, got caught, got called out on it by players and now they’re making up lies to permanently ban good players that used to feel the same as I did and used to spend their hard earned money as well.
I will personally not spend another dime on this game and do not recommend!

Yes it says free right on the advertisement but it’s a slow progress if you go that route and spending a little bit here and there definitely helps speed that progress which just makes the game more fun or so I thought.

I can’t stand behind a business that’s more than willing to take your money and than ban your account based on lies.

This game is so much fun! I play with my family and friends. But there is just one problem. You need to change the music and have different songs. You should have songs for people who go for the south have “ when Johnny comes marching home” , “ Dixieland” , “ hooray for the Bonnie blue flag” and more. For the north you could have songs like “Stars and Stripes forever”, “battle cry of freedom” , and more. I am not saying that the current one is bad, it just gets old after a while. I think you should add these updates I have listed down below. I think that you have a hole map and it has the states that became rebels and stayed Union and you do what you want with your troops move up side to side and backwards and add troop controls and command your army. And then you should see what is going on and command in a battle and on the battle ground you can be on of two options get off battle field or get on battle field. That would be nice and lower time rates on research so you get more players. There should be a troop view on the battle field too it would be really cool that’s all overall I give this a five star!!

The development team here is a nightmare. They routinely fail to recognize issues in their game, in turn costing many players entire armies and substantial investments from a monetary perspective. Their response is “it’s not on our end we cannot do anything”, we apologize for your losses.

Meanwhile, when you flip the script and actually do everything with in the game mechanics they will reimburse players you best because they want to make “exceptions”, as Maggie puts it. (She is a complete fraud might I add). When this was brought up she denied it, while proof was in hand of what was done.

My best advice is to take your money and run away from this game. The devs will consistently ruin any experience and devalue any money you put into the game with their lack of integrity, and poor decision making. They will blatantly lie to you about it as well.

They wonder why the game is dying let me clue you in, it’s because the players are sick of their developers, bugs, and support staff.
