So at first I wanted to wait and see if the emails I sent to the developers would be helpful regarding my experience on Mirchi before I wrote a review. Now I have realized that was simply pointless. Mirchi clearly does not connect anyone with anybody. They have pictures of people but I am certain that nobody communicates with each other at all. Other Indian dating apps are extremely better in regards to user experience. Mirchi has a plethora of attractive photos but trust me nobody is using it to communicate with one another. It is trying to be like an Indian version of Tinder but the developers of Mirchi lack the knowledge to provide a fluid interface. I wouldn’t recommend paying for an upgraded experience on Mirchi because is not worth it and I honestly believe the creators are just fishing for photos.

… for the wrong reason. It’s the Range feature. I genuinely want to know the thought process behind why the Range feature is the way it is.

Absolutely terrible decision to have to choose one or the other option for that feature. The developers and higher ups clearly didn’t have Mirchi and the users’ best interests in mind when that decision was made. Mirchi shows me people on the other side of the country/world more than it does people near me. How do you ruin a bare bones, basic feature of a dating app like this?

Absolutely frustrating due to how easily fixable this is. This shouldn’t even been an issue to begin with… 😤

I tried to use a phone number to sign up, but kept getting stuck where I needed to verify my number. I finally signed in with Apple, but then when I got a trial of this app Black I could not see where in Mirchi my likes are. I don’t know if I’ve gotten any likes at all. There is a section for “Views” and it told me to check back later for the duration of my trial!! So I have no idea if this feature works or not but it certainly seems like it doesn’t. I sent many emails to their support team but have not received even an automated acknowledgment reply so far.

Here’s what I’ve learned. I’ve had Mirchi for a long time now, and at times I would get the this app select, $4.99/week. But obviously I would cancel it before i have to pay again. So every time I paid, I would get tons of matches and have decent conversations with people. But .. but .. but !!! As soon as it ends, boom! No more matches, no conversations with the people you matched with/talked to. The reality is that you have to pay in order to talk/match with others.

Good app - I like that it shows you most eligible, saves me a lot of time for swiping. I also like the nearby feature where you can meet people super close to you.

I think friendship mode needs some work but otherwise I’ve had more matches on here than any app combined.

I like how there is no option to select anything negative about Mirchi . When deleting your account, you can type in the comments section why you’re leaving Mirchi , but won’t be able to hit confirm. And you have to select from a list, one of the reasons why you are leaving before hitting confirm. All of the reasons criticize the user. There’s nothing about Mirchi . Goes to show how bad and broken the platform is.

You gotta let people have a distance filter in miles. I have my setting on the closest setting and still get shown and waste my likes on people halfway across the country. Need an option to let me do within 10 miles or something like that. Other than that would give it 5

I have this app Black which is their most expensive plan. This plan gives unlimited likes and yet I still run and Mirchi tells me to upgrade to this app Black. So I email their non-existent customer support team and months later still no response. I email them a 2nd time and again no response whatsoever. Mirchi is beyond garbage and their customer service team must be asleep all day long.

Great networking/dating app that allows you to see people who are close to you. It also brings up the best matches to the first screen. this app definitely has differentiating features that other similar apps don’t have.

Interesting concept but would’ve liked some information on how their approach works and what and the various features in Mirchi (either on a website or in-app). Had also reached out to support but haven’t heard back in some time now

I prefer this app over the other popular Indian app. DM is just bunch of old profiles/ inactive! this app could use more users but hopefully soon more people hop onto it. I like that I can see who has liked me without having to pay an arm and leg for the feature, like other apps!!

The profiles and display of Mirchi is fine but after a month or 2 I can't open Mirchi. It's stuck at the initial stage of tossing the pedals. It has been very frustrating for 2 weeks now. Prior to this, some other users on Mirchi also complained about the same issue and I didn't believe them until it happen to me. I DON'T RECOMMEND Mirchi! There are better apps than this.

Mirchi is better than most I have used in the past. But you need to work on the technical side as whenever I write a message Mirchi just shuts off. These bugs can make you cringe super hard.

I deleted Mirchi because it kept crashing, and when I installed it again I lost my profile, help?

I love Mirchi! The pricing fair and u can talk to u r matches with membership (though u can have 3 matches at a time). All u need more people using Mirchi and it s all set. (BTW never change the pricing, the price is what makes to app the best)

Mirchi not all bad. it shows who’s nearby and has great filters and the people on there are for the most part real. however, many are inactive profiles and Mirchi IS ALWAYS CRASHING. after this last update, i can’t even open Mirchi . as soon as i tap Mirchi , it’ll make me login then as soon as i log in, BOOM crash.

Well thought! Very user friendly and very made on simple concept for online dating. Will recommend this to all my friends. :)

It’s a decent app but if you could fix login issues and messaging issues that would be great

It pretty much restricts you on seeing who liked you or anything based on your pics and prompts. Kinda makes it harder to enjoy Mirchi due to this.

Contacted support bc bought select for 1 week and Mirchi doesn’t move past the loading page. Emailed support about next steps or a refund and did not hear back. Did like Mirchi when it was working.

I wanted to use Mirchi to find friends, as was described by the founder. The friend zone is full of dating profiles, it’s weird to reach out to someone as a friend when they joined to find a romantic match. Also your feedback box when I wanted to submit feedback when I deleted Mirchi is broken. I couldn’t enter feedback and find the submit button.

Interaction completely changes when compared to other indian apps. seems like an honest dating app without useless notifications
