SUMI SUMI Matching Puzzle Reviews

I have been playing for a couple weeks now and have been saving up the rubies that I get from quest rewards. Today when I logged in, all of my rubies were gone and I now have zero rubies. There is really no way to contact for support and I have no idea if this is a bug or if it will resolve itself, but I am upset because a big part of the game is to save up rubies in order to summon a new this app from the event draw. Now I must start from scratch and attempt to save up enough rubies just to summon once because it’s so difficult to obtain any at all, or at least enough. Hoping that this will get fixed, but not likely since there are so many others with problems revolving around rubies and in app purchases.

I used to love Sumi Sumi and was a daily player. SUMISUMI often offers rewards at various times for reaching different map levels. The last time they did this the reward was 1500 gems, which is a fantastic amount. So I spent gems I had, plus in game items I had accumulated to help me reach this reward. I reached it and was awarded the gems. The next morning the developer decided that the gems were not supposed to be the reward. So they took them away, leaving a fraction of the prize as a consolation. They did not take under consideration that players spent a lot of resources to reach the goal, since the prize was so great. I had never to this point spent gems or items to progress on the maps. The developer will not respond to customers over social media and they will not answer through in app “contact us”

I originally downloaded this game because it was cute and fun, but the rating system for the levels doesn’t make sense. You would think that they would get progressively harder (much like Candy Crush or other games like that— traveling down a map/path means a steadily increasing level of difficulty), but instead the levels seem to have a random difficulty setting. I only got to #54 before getting stuck— I played the level probably 25 times and couldn’t beat it. I imagine this is because they want me to spend money, which is always sad— if you require me to spend money to beat it, my desire to play drops quickly.

I love cute fun games like this, but having to play the same level 25 times makes me lose interest fast. Unfortunate because it was enjoyable to play up to a certain point.

When I first downloaded this game, I was so excited. I love how cute the characters are, it’s satisfying to solve the puzzles, and it’s addictive to play. But every few days it has me download an update that takes forever to load, and if I leave SUMISUMI at all, it has to start over the downloading process. And then when it’s done and I finally get to play, it takes at least 30 seconds to load all the initial pop-ups when you first open SUMISUMI , and another 30 seconds of loading when you tap on a level you want to play. It’s so annoying and it makes me want to delete SUMISUMI.

I have been playing for about a week. I got to the last level in world 3 and can’t beat it because the map is too hard. Got flags in all the previous worlds and this one level is stopping me from progressing further because I need high score Sumi Sumi. So now I am stuck failing the same levels over and over again because my characters just are good enough. This game has poor gating in this game. Don’t mind buying some stuff but when it seems more like a necessity to complete the game, it makes me have zero interest in playing. Needs fixed.

I really want to love this game. It’s adorable and it was so addicting at first. A great way to pass the time and relax. A challenging game is great, I have no problem being challenged and solving puzzles, but for a game to be THIS difficult is just kind of frustrating and annoying. I’m not going to delete the game just yet, I want to give it more time. But I keep getting stuck on these levels. I have spent my hard earned money on this game just trying to pass level 69. It takes your money for rubies, but only gives you two extra tries and then just automatically fails you. $2 wasted, in my eyes. When a game is too difficult to pass a level in like 5 tries, it greatly decreases the playability. I don’t want to be stuck playing the same level over and over, I just want to keep moving forward. 😔

It’s a really fun game, some easy lvls
Some hard ones. Some not hard but challenging. I love the little garden shed that comes with our power up sumi’s. Really extremely cute characters! I like how they switch up the characters each time if you fail a lvl.
I hate that they take away a clover for each time you play a lvl, YOU ONLY GET 5 clovers (life). They use a clover even if you pass a lvl and move on to the next lvl, on most if not 99% of lvl games, you get to keep your life you are currently using unless you fail the lvl.
They don’t give free items to use or watch a video for a random item, or daily prizes (only for coins or gardening items), only item you get from watching a video is x3 moves when you play a lvl. At the end of a lvl, if you run out of moves, it doesn’t have a once in a while/hourly or daily watch a ad for extra moves to finish the lvl.
Each area comes with their own list of missions to complete which can be confusing, lvls on each area doesn’t match the mission amount meaning you have to play certain lvls a few more times after completing to accomplish the missions to get your prize.

this app is super cute (well, most of the characters are). However, the levels are really difficult, it’s hard to get in-game currency, and I don’t understand the leveling up process. There’s currently an event going on in the game (a summer festival), but it’s so incredibly hard to get even a star for the levels. I’ve managed to complete the goals for levels one through nine, but I am thousands of points away from actually getting a star. I am still awarded a star, but getting a pole (much less a flag) feels impossible.
I have so many keys already (600ish) but haven’t unlocked a treasure chest. I tried level five again by using three of my best Sumisumis (level 2 lol but I honestly have no idea how leveling up works), all four of the power ups, and finished with 12 or 14 turns left, yet I missed the goal for getting a flag by at least 10k points.
Also, I hate to be that person (English is really hard to learn) but macaroons are the coconut mound things and macarons are the almond flour sandwich cookies that are actually in the game. I’m not upset that they are called the wrong thing (again, English is hard) but am irked because I’ve made them before and they’re vexing to make :P

I originally gave this game a chance as it features San X characters. The sounds are satisfying and relaxing, lovely array of characters to see, but as many have stated: it gets way too complicated too early in the game. I quickly run through lives and it is extremely pricey to buy in game items.. and I don’t even feel spending the money would be worth it due to how little you get for the money. I want to love this game but with how frustrating these levels are so frequently, and having to wait for more lives, I will undoubtably move on quickly to a different game.

I love this game ! There is one problem though and it’s getting me very frustrated. It just happened. I wanted to buy the 5.00$ pack of rubies that contains 60 in it I believe. I am not even a teenager yet so I still have to ask permission to buy something. ( I am working on it 🙄) Anyway it takes a while for my mom to respond. I was waiting there for while and when she finally responded it took money out of my account thingy but never gave the rubies I payed for!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have tried opening and closing SUMISUMI , but whatever I do it won’t work. I don’t know what to do! Please please help me. I can’t just let it take money from me. I am begging for a respond , a solution, something. I don’t know what to do !!!!!!!!

Game is cute!! Love it. Cannot stop playing before. But after the recent update, it may push me away!! It used to be ad free game, but now, Within 10 mins play, it can pop 4-5 Ads you must watch. There is no skip button for the ad, and after you wait and close the 1st layer, you must wait for couple seconds to close the 2nd layer of the Ad. VERY VERY annoying ! I don’t mind to watch the ad to gain extra life, or tools, but this non-stop Ad popping really make this pressure release game become annoying. I hope this can go back to it used to be.

This game is super cute, I love cute puzzlers so it’s the perfect game for me. But sometimes it seems like it just depends on luck, sometimes the game will drop matches left and right, other times you get stalemate 5 times in a row. Aside from that, they no longer let you skip the title sequence now and it’s annoyingly long. Today, I was waiting for the title sequence to send clovers to my friends, but after waiting for it to finally end, I noticed that I needed to update in order to play. After updating I had to wait for the title sequence AGAIN. No skips. If they fix this I’d be more willing to give it 5 stars.

I’ve been addicted in playing this game! It’s so cute and so addicting at the same time, collecting pets and playing levels. I love how there are small events in the game too :D But just recently I have reached in the 4th Area. The levels were getting ridiculously hard and it would take me sometimes half an hour to complete! If the developers can relieve the difficulty on these levels that would be great <333 But overall this game is amazing and I recommend many people to play this awesome game!

I refuse to use the boosts because it is hard to get. I will not be tempted to spend money on this game. I do not participate in the events because my little sumi will need to be on steroids and coke in order to get a good score. I play the regular levels on repeat until I get a flag. Sometimes I will be blessed with good sumi, but most of the time it is random. I wait a few days to accumulate clovers from my friends. I love this game but also hate it. When I finally get that flag it’s like I busted a big warm load (of happiness).

I’ve been playing this app for almost 3 years now, and I still feel like I dont know how to use all of the features that are included. Mostly, I’m confused on my this app Buddy’s, from how to level them up to how to employ them in puzzles best. Does anyone have any advice?? Would love clearer instructions in game on this feature. LIVE LOVE LOVE this game. The puzzles are amazing and the animations are so cute.

I’ve been playing this game for a few years now. It’s super cute, and I haven’t needed to spend any money at all to reach the top levels (although I have a few times to show support for the developers), this is not the case for most games! They have special events weekly and scheduled maintenance times. They take care of the game and I’ve never had any issues the entire time playing. Overall it’s simply the best mobile game I have found and the cuteness makes me so happy!

So I just downloaded this game and it is absolutely the cutest game ever! I am a fan of Sumikko Gurashi and I love how they use them. I also love how the coins have the boba faces on them! The tutorial is pretty long, but at least I can learn how to play the game. And it's cool that each character has their own unique power and every character is so cute. At the beginning, they show this adorable show and I just had to show this to my mom how much I really love this game. I would give this game 5 stars because: 1. Cute 2. Fun 3. Awesome. This game is ADORABLE. Turn up the volume - it’s not just how it looks, it’s also how it sounds.

I’d say this game is more fair, by a lot, than Candy Crush and other similar type games. It’s not a match 3 game, it’s more like the kind where you have to eliminate 2+ and then others fall into place and you see if you can eliminate them all. . You can actually strategize better than with Candy Crush too. It doesn’t feel like the game thwarts all your attempts at strategy (though, sometimes).

You can also play this game for hours without a dime. Rack up friends (which is easily done even without connecting to FB) and get loads of free clovers, get free rubies and coins, etc. Rubies are the in-game currency and, although gains are slow, you don’t *really* need them. You buy special items, continues, and this app characters (you can also buy characters with coins).

I would highly recommend this game. It’s very relaxing, fun, and simple yet challenging. For a phone game it’s nearly perfect and addictively cute.

This game pulled me in with the adorable graphics and the previous reviewers promises of a fairly difficult game, which I hadn’t been expecting based on the aesthetic style it’s got going for it. I’m on stage 84 as I write this and I’ve been having an absolute blast! The game introduces new mechanics often enough that things don’t feel like they’re going to get stale anytime soon.

The game is definitely a challenge, I’ve spent 3 days straight playing the same stage on and off just trying to get a high enough score to perfect it. If you’ve got a lot of friends, stamina isn’t an issue and there’s a system in place to friend people randomly. It feels good to help each other out! You also don’t have to perfect every stage, if you at least pass them friends can also help you move on to the next area. (If you perfect all the stages you can just move on.)

Micro transactions aren’t especially in your face outside of the usual pop-ups. And once you’ve got at least 3 of the little characters you have a “full team” so to speak. I haven’t done many of the gacha pulls myself, I use the coin currency to level up my little guys and save the gems for the gacha.

All in all this is a perfect little game and I love it!

I currently downloaded SUMISUMI since months ago, and now im at level 57! This game is amazing I always play this everyday and a lot of hours! I highly recommend to play this game because it has updates, coins, rubies, tickets that you can spend it on. But if you don’t have a lot of coins or rubies you can find them on the gifts that you can find then for 100% FREE.
