Fotocast Reviews

I was able to access Fotocast the first time I opened it. But since then, Fotocast crashes within a split second when I try to open it.

Auto GPS function does not work. I tried to refresh it several times, uninstalled Fotocast and reinstalled it but the location is stuck to the original location. Sent an email to support but got no response.

So I purchase the annual subscription and pay. Two weeks ap locks me out and requires purchase. Really?

Attempt to edit gear causes app to force close.

Address search results in “my photo places” cannot be selected and improperly displays in user interface.

Use of the camera in the “my photo places” results in force close of app.

In app support fails to send on both WiFi and cell connections without any indication and requires that you delete your support message to go back to Fotocast .

I used this on the iPad Pro 11. I have no doubt that this list does not represent the entirety of bugs present in this application. I experienced a force close for the first 5 features I tried to use and decided it best to remove the application and put a warning to future users.

Fotocast looked promising but turned out like every other poorly coded, subscription or micro transaction apps that litter Fotocast Store. Rest assured knowing that the subscription creation/ in app purchases is functioning properly. You will have no issue getting Fotocast to accept your money, but this is a near complete list of functioning features, generously made available through Fotocast.

Would love to try it but can’t even read terms or privacy policy. Once that’s fixed I’ll give it another go. 😕

Fotocast used to work. Now whenever I select a location it automatically quits out. I e tried restarting my phone. I’ve tried resetting my phone. Even tried deleting Fotocast off my phone and reinstalling it multiple times. Tried setting Fotocast to use my location and also not use it - failed. Tried setting push notifications off, and on - still failed. I loved Fotocast; what happened to it?!? Did you guys write in some algorithm that disables use after a certain number of uses without purchasing it? Seems like it to me, and just when I started to like it...

I do landscape and astrophotography and it says partly cloudy when there is not a cloud in the sky. It does show my location on the map but not sure about the forecast. I will continue to use it along with other weather apps.

I've been following Photographers Arsenal on Instagram for some time now, eagerly awaiting the release of this app to iOS. Finally, it's here and doesn't disappoint!

Not only is this probably the best weather app out there, it's the only one made just for pro photographers.

My only gripe is that it is lacking some features that can be found on the 'other' major phone platform that starts with an A, but I realize this is the initial release and more features are coming. ProTip: Follow the dev on Instagram and they post very frequent news and updates! Very active and responsive dev. Hands down excellent.

My favorite feature is the sun/moon direction tool. What a cool app!

This inexpensive app will keep your photoshoots (and your camera!) protected from any unwanted weather.

If you are going to use a weather app and you are a photographer, why not use one designed just for photographers? I found this to be even more accurate and useful for my photography business than other top rated weather apps.

Fotocast offers a lot of customizable features and alerts. I highly recommend this app.

Environment plays a huge part during a photoshoot, so Fotocast can let us know when is the right time go out and take amazing shots!

When we (photographers) need to take perfect pictures, everything has to be in the right place. Don't let the weather ruin any photoshoot and make sure everything will look great. ;o)

I use it everyday and it has never let me down in planning out my photography. The weather forecasts are spot on, but there’s so many other tools and features that are incredibly useful.

Fotocast installs well and asks to locate for forecasting, etc. when you give approval it follows by crashing and continues to crash with every activation thereafter. Looked hopeful but ultimately only a scandalous heartbreaker. Don’t waste your time on false promises.

Love Fotocast and use it everyday. But the latest version crashes upon opening. Posting it here because I am not able to send a support ticket from Fotocast .

I love that Fotocast offers real-time forecasts, so you can plan every photo without worrying about the weather!

This app worked for a year with no problem and I loved it. All of a sudden April 2023 it got stuck on one certain date and would not change for the now week or month. It was not giving me temperatures, photocast scores, cloud cover or any of that. The only thing that did work was the sky command that gave the daylight phase is and the times. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and then the now week and month pages were just blank. I had paid over $30 for the app last May, and was charged another $30 this May for an app that was not working. I repeatedly contacted the help sections on the app, both regular and premier help, and also contacted several times on the developers website. But never got any sort of response. This was purchased on the Google Play store for a Google pixel 6 pro, and then several weeks ago I reinstalled it on a new Google 7 pro with the same outcomes. I have contacted Google for a refund for my purchase in May and have deleted the app. Which is a real shame because I really used the app a lot prior to April 2023 when it stopped working correctly.
