I live my apps simple and clean. Didn’t mind the ads because that’s how they can make money. But the fact that they took away the video option unless you go pro, I’m moving onto another app. I’ve had no issue paying for an app when I believe in it so much. Add new things to it for the pro version. But no, instead, you took away an existing feature, you’ve lost me.

They took away the option for custom aspect ratio. Now you have to choose from several default aspect ratios. And when you pinch zoom to adjust the borders it no longer gives you a numerical value so you can see how big or small you’re making the border. It used to be so easy to make sure all my pictures had the same width border but not anymore. Please update WhiteBorder and bring that option back

Good, but needs option to add border from files in Finder, not just from Photos app. And batch processing shouldn't be limited to 10 photos

I really want to love this cause it’s really easy to use. But I found out that it somehow darkens the original footages quite a bit when exporting. Is this a known issue?

Used WhiteBorder constantly to size my photos to send to friends and also to post on socials.
Recently had it auto update and now it crashes every single time I try and save more than 5 photos and it also changed my border size so now my photos are no longer consistent.
Disappointed

Awesome free app. I wish there was an app that would do double and triple mattes as easily.

I was having trouble with tightly framed photos being cropped on the edges with the Instax Wide Printer App, and WhiteBorder solves any issues I had by adding a border with adjustable colors and width.

It may be early to say this after one day’s use, but White Border looks very, very much like the ideal no crop app for Instagram posts. WhiteBorder Store is absolutely silly with these, but you’ve likely discovered that they have big flaws: they tend to be slow and clunky, forcing a long wait after exporting each photo. Many are also bloated with photo editing features that belong in a different app. White Borders is perfect for a heavy posting workflow: it’s fast, has few unnecessary options, and even lets you mass select up to 10 photos at once to add borders with one click. Makes doing a 10-image post with mixed orientations a two-minute process instead of ten. And it costs three bucks to remove ads for good! Tao Zhang is a superstar.

UPDATE: After using WhiteBorder for a while, it absolutely does bear out the strong first impression — it’s simple, easy, and quick to do exactly what it’s supposed to. Blows any other app I’ve tried for this purpose out of the water.

The one flaw I’d point out is that if you have photos in a lot of albums it’s hard to find the one you want — they seem to be listed in a random order. I’d appreciate search, or at least alphabetic order, or even better support for the folder system so you can organize them.

I’m an old-school photographer, one who’s not at all tech-savvy, and I found WhiteBorder a breeze to use (after having tried many others without success).
It adds a white border around a photograph—either all the way around *or only on the two sides*.
My vertical photos, the ones that don’t quite have the aspect ratio required by Instagram, for instance, now post perfectly! No cropping required.
A simple-without-being-simplistic and elegant solution. Highly recommended!

I love WhiteBorder but the recent removal of custom aspect ratios was a big step backwards.

It would be great if one could easily create a border of equal size in all directions from the original image as the default and customize from there.

I have been using WhiteBorder for Instagram a lot and am liking it for the ease to use, but I am hoping WhiteBorder can support HDR photos in the future, as it currently will lose additional highlights of the original photo

Great app for its function. I only wish the batch editing could eventually allow more than 10 photos! Whatever maximum number of photos that’s possible to edit would make WhiteBorder even better

I just wanted to frame some pictures and it quickly did it’s job and effectively did too. The borders are also nice looking and there are many ways to place the borders as well. Just wish that maybe there was a custom placement for the border/frame. Otherwise, WhiteBorder does exactly what it says so nice job.

I don’t know why it’s so hard to find a good app that does this very task, but somehow it is. This one is great. If you’ve been browsing around, look no further.

The one thing that could be better is some way to change the aspect ratio for all of your selected photos at once. Or select a default aspect ratio in settings. Even without that feature though this is a great app.

I searched for almost an hour for a program that would make a white border, without cropping the photo itself, or reducing the quality, or giving a watermark. I needed it because I needed to print a 4:5 ratio photo as a 5:3, and then I can just cut off the white edge. WhiteBorder didn’t degrade the quality, I got just one non-intrusive advertisement which I was completely fine with, and it was just perfect, exactly what I needed.

does what it says, for a fixed price. hidden gem away from all those subscriptions money grab!
