Simkl Lists: TV, Anime, Movies Reviews

I have just downloaded SimklLists and the reviews look great for it. It is organized and easy to use but every tv show or anime I click on, I don’t see any of the videos! All I see is two advertisements but no video.... why is this happening?

SimklLists has a very confusing navigation. You waste so much time trying to find the anime and tv shows you want to add to your watchlist. Most shows I searched are not up to date, have too many repeated entries for the same anime, and heavily relies on opening web pages outside SimklLists . For example, I just watched episode 17 “Reunion” of “Mushoko Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” and SimklLists has 2 entries. The first entry says the “Series Ended” and the most recent airing was episode 11 “Children and Warriors”. That’s false. The second entry is more accurate by saying the most recently aired episode was “Reunion” (this is correct) but misidentified the episode # as 6. They have episode 12 as the first episode for the series. These problems happen all the time with other anime listings.

Next, all I wanted was to select all the animes I have watched so that SimklLists can directly tell me if a new episode was released. But SimklLists has too many options. You can categorize a show as 1) Watching, 2) Plan to Watch, 3) Completed, 4) On Hold, and 5) Not Interested. But which one of the options will send you notifications about new episodes, a new season, or new info on release dates? For example, I have seen all the aired episodes for Season 1-3 of the anime Overlord. I want to know when the next season airs and when Season 4 Episode 1 is available. Do I select “Watching” or “Completed”? If I select “Completed” I am worried SimklLists thinks I am done with the series and I won’t get updates. SimklLists only needs one option: Follow.

Finally I am frustrated having SimklLists push me to my internet browsing app (Safari) to look up all the info. You’re telling me SimklLists does not contain all the info I need? I have to go back to the website Smkl, scroll past all those advertisements that break up the information I want, and repeat this on everything I want information on. Almost every time I did not get the info I wanted. SimklLists was supposed to be a shortcut to avoid going the obnoxiously over-advertised Smkl website.

I am convinced SimklLists developer has fake ratings put onto SimklLists Store to artificially inflate its score. There are too many 5 star reviews without information.

I want to like this I really do but SimklLists is garbage if you want me to review the actual service using it in a web browser it’s fantastic but this is not a true native iOS app it’s a web app or progressive app whatever they call it that’s trash. It’s not user-friendly. It’s not very friendly. It doesn’t go back like a normal iOS app would there bugs all over it and glitches. It’s just very clunky and there’s an actual app. I’ll continue using Trakt as my go to.

Don’t use SimklLists, but do use this service. Seems like weird advice, right? Over a year without an update of a very barebones app that was never any good anyway. The web experience is miles better and much more reliable than all the trakt-powered apps I find. Using the site as a web app, it has bad bottom nav bugs and doesn’t always refresh, so I just bookmark the site and go there instead. Wish the favicon was at least legible in Safari with a black background.

I have been using SimklLists for quite some time now! I started using it on Android! That version had its issues since there are so many types of android devices its to be expected! But now that I have a Newer IPad 2017 running the latest OS Simkl freezes constantly! Making it painful to use! The developer blames Apple! The only reason I got a IPad was to fly a Dji drone and it’s the only device that can be trusted with a drone that cost thousands of dollars! So blaming iOS for this apps issues I think is just laziness! There are other issues with SimklLists (not OS related) that the developer also blames others for! I started using SimklLists during its beta stages! For a while the Dev was on top of issues but He Andrew Seems to have lost interest in making it better! Sorry but I am now looking for a alternative! The last app I used was horrendous Simkl was a god send at first but now? I just need to move on! I see it hasn’t been updated in 9 months of the writing of my review! So it’s definitely not Apple! Andrew needs to fix the code for IOS 11!!

The few things I want to use SimklLists for just get redirected to my phone web browser. Everything is fine in that view, so why can’t that be SimklLists ? Web on desktop works well and that’s what I normally use.

You don’t really need to use SimklLists . When I just tried to check the list that I made to check on the anime release dates it would just open my web browser to the website. it defeats the purpose for downloading SimklLists . So I’ll give it a three star since the apps not needed but I like the website.

I can’t really watch anything, it won’t let me watch it, but there are some good shows. I recommend to download it, hope it does not do the same the to you👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Could you pls guys make the movie like the series. Showing all season and part together or just put the next part that finishthe story like bellow the rate and the list that you choose too make it more organized thank you :)

I rarely write reviews but I absolutely love SimklLists. I watch lots of shows and I like to keep track of the shows I watched, want to watch etc. Simkl has all the tools to organize your shows, mark off episodes, find new shows watch.

I have been looking for an app that actually keeps up with anime, and not just the name brand that pops up in tsunami. While I wish the recommended shows would change more often, SimklLists is perfect for keeping track of all of the anime you have watched, want to watch, and you are watching at which episode. Cannot tell you how much time SimklLists has saved me, highly recommend. Especially for those who use websites instead of Netflix or Hulu.

I have been using the web version of Simkl for the last couple years and it has been awesome. It was a bit clunky on my phone, but SimklLists solves that problem completely!

I use the calendar function more than anything and it would be awesome to have on SimklLists .

The list of shows/movies on Netflix is awesome, and it would be cool to add functionality with Amazon/HBO/Hulu...

I’ve been recommending this for years and I won’t stop now!
