Walk To Mordor Reviews

There’s a glitch on my distance log that keeps adding tons of entries that I didn’t actually walk. I’ll have to uninstall if this doesn’t end up getting fixed :/

Might be better to track your WtM Miles by hand in a journal. This glitch is relentless. No matter how many times I delete the extra entries, they come back.

Great concept? But making us manually enter all logged steps means it’s extra work. Why not interface with the step counter the phone already has?

It doesn't actually sync data from any trackers, so you have manually input.
That's a bit annoying. The LoTR info and snippets are awesome. Not awesome - after a year it decided to log out and not log in. Log in button does nothing. So close to the end, too. A pity.

I really enjoy it. It’s a fun way to see how far you’ve come. There are a few of the extra features that aren’t central to the actual walking to Mordor that are a little glitchy (you can like comment on posts, but then I can’t get it to show me the comment, that kind of thing), but overall it’s awesome.

This is such a fun app! It’s a blast to race your friends to Mordor, it literally motivates me to get out and do more if I’m like only 2 miles away from the next place. The only thing that would make it better is if it could sync with other tracking apps instead of having to manually enter every single thing.

The developer did a great job of corresponding text to mileage, but apparently had issues with percentages. I’ve gone 1030 miles out of 1932 and it says that I’ve only completed 3% of the journey.

As a giant Tolkienite since I was a wee lass the early 90s I loved the idea behind this. However, please correct your last milestone! You wrote grey wood and it should be grey havens. Otherwise I love it.

It's a bit new, so it doesn't quite have a whole lot of bells and whistles yet, but that actually makes it kinds better. It's very well put together. And I love the little story achievements, makes it feel like you're actually accomplishing walking through the books.

Any chance you're working on making WalkToMordor talk to the iPhone's walking data? It would be nice if it updated automatically when you were walking with your phone in your pocket, unless the idea is to make you log purposeful walk/runs?

I really enjoy WalkToMordor! It’s another motivator in helping me stick to my exercise routine. I do have a feature request. Maybe I’ve just missed it, but I would like it if WalkToMordor displayed your total distance walked, not just your total to go.

This is an interesting way to be motivated to exercise. I wish it had a map that could visually track your progress as well.
