I have played APA for over 10 years in 2 different states. But I recently relocated to N Carolina. I was put on a team that had qualified and can’t play because they waited till after the 4th match to assign me. I wanted to play more than just once a week and no one will take a new player. So much for southern hospitality! I contacted the league operator and was told his league doesn’t like to put new people on their roosters. Nice huh! So how do you get involved if attitudes like that are supported by the operator. Don’t waste the $25 to be excluded check your area for BCA or Valley leagues both were very welcoming to me and I regret paying my fees to APA here. Although to be fair. It was an excellent experience before coming here. Went to Vegas several times and it was the best. But you got to be careful where you are and who your operator is before you waste your money like I did. Don’t pay them up front. Just tell them next time until you get a few matches in and decide if you want to be a part of it all. I loved it before but could not be more disappointed than I have been here. I wish the apa would just refund my $25 and I’ll step out and let them have their private club of exclusion. That way they won’t have to deal with their irrational strange danger fears. Sad!

From a data base view, if you play in more than one region stats are a problem. Overall Historic data is not great, hope they improve. But looking at the technology, if APAPoolLeague is so stable why do we need to keep updating APAPoolLeague every few days? I would think it would be more stable.
Again I update this as another roll out. If APAPoolLeague was so stable, why so Many updates? Why do I need to log in so often, why is it so hard to see data from multiple regions, last season data, etc, etc

Looking for information is not as easy using the new app . Signing up for tournaments is more difficult. Navigation through APAPoolLeague is more difficult & contains less information. Printing scoresheets is easier but obtaining stats for captions to properly match up takes more time. Navigation through APAPoolLeague is slower as well. Not an improvement from my point of view. One would think the league would make as easy as possible for players to sign up for events, just as easy as renewing membership. It would make individuals wonder where the focus of the business is. A point of view from a member with over 500 matches played, plays multiple tournaments every year, captained numerous teams & still captain of one & co-captain of another. It appears the APAPoolLeague is geared to new players and getting them sign up and more difficult for long term members to get necessary information.

This is my 1st full session, having fun, making new friends.. I do have one complaint, concerning slapsie maxies’ bar.. That place reeks heavily of foul smells of grease from the kitchen, men’s’ room is rank of urine and crap, like sewage it was horrible. The pool tables are dirty with debris on them , the balls were sticky/cruddy, and the rails have no bounce, and cue balls are old with nicks and cracks.. all of that causes very slow rolls and when breaking the balls hardly move, all bunched up in rack area. I will send a friendly letter to the owner anonymously this week..

APAPoolLeague normally works great and is my quick go to source for schedules, ratings etc. However, APAPoolLeague is asking me to log back in, I enter my credentials, it takes me to a fingerprint screen asking me if I would like to save it for login access, but none of the buttons work, you can't close the window, can't go back... You ultimately have to force close APAPoolLeague because it won't do anything... I can no longer access APAPoolLeague as I am unable to log in.

Every time there is an update my app doesn’t work. It’s flooded with red error messages. I’m still able to use the internet version for information, but it’s frustrating and an inconvenience. Please fix this sooner rather than later.
After some investigation of possible fixes I deleted APAPoolLeague and reinstalled it shortly after this review was posted. Do that corrected the issues. I thank you for your commitment to keeping APAPoolLeague working properly though. 👍👍

I really do enjoy being able to track my stats on the go. I wish it didn’t take as many clicks to get to my personal stats for the current session. Under “My Stats”, you have to choose from the drop down which session you’d like to look at stats for- and this needs to be updated to default to your current session (or most recent).
Otherwise, easy to use application. Easy to see who I am playing next week. Easy to understand everything.

It is great that we have an app where we can find almost anything we might need for being a member of the American Pool Association! Here are some suggestions for upgrades: the ability for each members of the team to pay their league fees each night, the ability to keep score in APAPoolLeague and submit the scoresheet directly to the league operator, the ability to file complaints or infractions.
I know that having an app is an ongoing process of improvements! Can’t wait to see the improvements as they get published!

I receive three notifications for 3 of the 4 nights I play and receive no notifications for the 4th night. I also find that using the Division number for the night being played is no help, example Division 212 has a schedule change. I have no clue as to which night it refers to. I also think the top shooter list should be available online after 6 weeks because You never see the final standings and I don't think it is entirely correct when the top shooter playoff list is provided.

Considering how much data APAPoolLeague holds, it’s great to say the least! However, I would like to see additional statistics like how well we play against other people/skills, etc. I would also like to see how we stand on the Fargo Rating. Maybe APA can work something out with the Fargo folks, as it seems that Fargo rating is the direction pool is headed and I’ve seen a lot of interest in it for sure.

I find APAPoolLeague somewhat difficult to navigate and lacking in information. Information that I would like to see but cannot find is as follows:
1. Player skill levels. Some players are a 6, some 8, etc. Even
though we don’t use separate skill levels in our Masters
league I would still like this information to be available since
we had to submit a skill level number to the league when we
signed up to play.
2. Total games (not matches) each individual has won and lost.
(Total match records are already shown). Important because
total games won determines which team wins the match.
3. A player’s record against each opponent the player has
played. For example, one of our players has lost only one
match; who beat him?
4. NAVIGATION. Having trouble sending this review. Crazy.

As APAPoolLeague has developed over the years the functionality has improved significantly. Now it’s time to step up the stats. I would love to know how I have played against a certain player. Or maybe see a line chart of my win % over the past five years.
This is an older game (at least in my area). To get these millennials interested APAPoolLeague needs to be the way to get them hooked. Chat features, ability to link a photo or video to a score or match. That functionality can use APAPoolLeague to get the younger generation involved.

APAPoolLeague has significantly improved many things, but lost one of the most important things in my opinion. The bell shaped icon that used to be in the upper right hand corner showing all the alerts has disappeared. I still get the notifications, but when I click on them it just takes me to the homepage. I liked being able to click on the alerts for each league and team so I could go there quickly and get my updates without having to search for them. Please bring the alerts button back!

I find APAPoolLeague very useful. It easy to maneuver around in and convenient. I especially like being able to make online payments. I do however, find some of the information to be dated. Often times I find dated tournament information listed on the site from last year and the year before. All in all, it’s a very informational site.

My only real complaint with APAPoolLeague has to do with notifications. I like to look and see if there are updates to scores and stats, APAPoolLeague shows that there are new notifications, I click the notifications bell to look at them, and they’re the same old updates from a few days ago. So I hit mark all as read, close the menu, and the bell still has a 2 next to it. Basically it won’t let me mark all as read. Generally speaking for the rest of the usability of APAPoolLeague , it does a pretty good job of telling us APA updates, where we are scheduled to play, stats etc.

Is there a way to add to your app a “Person Search”? Maybe at the minis you come up against a person and you want to see their stats. I am a bowler also and the USBC has it in there app. Also helps for putting teams together. You already know there S/L before asking. I think if would be a great addition to your app. Thank you for what you do.

App no longer crashes or gives me error messages. It works well after the update.
I do however wish they could work on the layout and how to make ‘popular’ links accessible quicker but that’s just nitpicking because I use APAPoolLeague a lot. Well done y’all!

The new features are fantastic! As a captain, I have to say that it makes my life easier when I’m deciding who to throw against another team.. I’m able to look at past match ups to see how individual players did and how my team did as a whole. Keep up the good work, I’m impatiently waiting to see what’s next!

I’ve been playing in the APA consistently since the fall session of 1987. I love it! At different times I have played up to three nights a week in league. I am currently playing three nights a week. I’ve been to Las Vegas four times to play in the national/world tournaments. I will continue to play until I can no longer play. It does sadden me that the APA app does not note how long I’ve been playing. It is missing the first several years.

Great app but wished that it allowed for users to have more access to all available data. It would be very helpful if we can look up and be able to access all members in the APA and not just be limited to our area or division. Information could be helpful during Citywide or World Championship.

I have been a division rep in the APA for around 9 years and in multiple divisions. It is more difficult to use APAPoolLeague than it was the website. I like some things better than the website. I think 1 area that could use some major improvement is trying to look up past players. I’ve had multiple teams call me to add a player the night of the match and want to know what his skill level is. I can find that player and see how many matches they played in both formats and what their overall record is but it doesn’t show skill level anywhere. I think that information is important and should be added. I could find that info on website. There is no reason I shouldn’t be able to find it on APAPoolLeague . Thank you.

The director & his crew are doing a great job making this league fun & competitive as well. I find APAPoolLeague & website very easy to navigate & acquire important information that we all need regularly. I’ve been a member of the APA since 2002 and it keeps getting better every year. Kudos to you Ross Banfield! Keep up the good work!

I’m happy the rules and bylaws are easier for players to find (even though I’ve kept my copies in iBooks).
Can you tighten some column headings so we can see more player statics across the page without needing to scroll sideways so much? For example, “Games won/played” can be “W/P” and “Skill Level” can be “SL”.
I have played in league in Columbus but stopped when Covid started. Never was a fan of loser of a game racks. Embarrassing. How about winner racks like most of the pros do
