Summary of Catena Problems 🔥

- Not available in Spanish

- Lacks an encyclopedia for words and a word bank for Greek

- Could benefit from adding more tools, such as the history of the rosary and a detailed yearly church calendar

- Commentary can sometimes lack perfect sentence structure and punctuation

- Only allows for one Bible translation on mobile

- Commentary on verses can freeze and not allow for scrolling

- Could benefit from more specific references to each quotation.

Recently downloaded Catena app and it simply won’t connect to the internet. I did everything you recommend here, and still it doesn’t work. It just loads forever and doesn’t do anything. What should I do?

How to fix Catena app crashes or not working on Iphone (iOS):

Close and restart the Catena app on iPhone
Update Catena app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall Catena iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix Catena on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve Catena network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, goto Settings » General » Reset » Reset Network Settings.
2. Enter device passcode » confirm [Reset Network Settings].

Turn off iphone VPN:
1. Goto Settings » General » VPN

Catena Android App Issues and Solutions

Fix Catena not working on Android, crashes, errors or is unresponsive:

Force Stop the Catena App
1. On android, goto Settings » Catena » click [Force Stop]

Update Catena to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear Catena App Cache and Data:
1. On android, goto Settings » Apps » Catena » Storage » click [Clear Data] option. This clears both data and cache.
2. restart Catena.

Fix Catena unable to contact server/ Catena internet connection errors on Android:

On android, goto Settings » Apps or Manage Apps tab.
Click Catena » [Force Stop]
Next, goto Storage » click [Clear Data]
Again, goto Catena » Mobile Data » [Allow Background Data Usage].
Go back to Settings » Connections » Mobile Network » Network Mode. Change the network to 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
Relaunch Catena
