Filament Bible Reviews

I really like the concept that the filament app has, but am questioning the claim that it has 350+ videos. Are there legit 350+ different videos? Because I’m finding on numerous accounts that many of the videos will be reused in other books, such as seeing some of the same videos played in Genesis, Daniel and Revelation, and more often than not, just one video will be reused in each chapter od the same book. Are those repeated videos being counted as part of the 350?
I find this happens more often than not in the meatier books, the more touchy subject books, and it seems that the videos offered in these books are kind of dumbed down as to not upset or trigger someone who may or may not agree.
So many teachable moments to be touched on, I hope to see that more videos are offered in the future that actually coincide with the particular chapters of the book.

I really like FilamentBible so far. The interactive maps and illustrations are great, and I’ve found many that are also in the NLT Illustrated Study Bible, which is what I was hoping for. My only concern is that FilamentBible seems limited. Simplicity is nice. However, I hope that future updates will be just that. Otherwise, there’d be a missed opportunity. The option to search for themes or maps instead of having to scroll through the chapters would great. The option for side by side comparison of the maps and illustrations would help as well. More quality updates would really push FilamentBible to its full potential.

I have been thinking about a new Bible for myself and while looking through the Bible section at the bookstore, I came across this Bible with the filament app. I have never heard of it until now. At the bookstore I downloaded FilamentBible and tried it and I was so hooked. I feel that this is a game changer for me to learn and grow in Gods word. I obviously bought the Bible and for me this is a new process so I love the reading plans option. So many resources and devotionals included and my brand new Bible is compact for me to bring and study. Not to mention the NLT is so easy to understand and beautifully written. Thank you!! ❤️

This is such an impressive and immersive tool! It is user friendly and fun! I give it give because it’s so smooth and full of material my only concern is the furtherance of FilamentBible. I invested in this bible and downloaded FilamentBible because I believe this could be a big part of the future in study immersion. I would like to see a home page to FilamentBible and also more tools and studies such as notes or devotions. I don’t have any complaints but I hope this doesn’t get thrown in the back burner. I’m believing that this network of bibles and FilamentBible and company will expand and grow there immersion and study experience.

So far so good, but after closing FilamentBible and coming back to it later, it opens back to the standard Genesis 3 position. Anyway you guys can update this so I don’t lose my spot when exiting FilamentBible ?

I love FilamentBible so much, is my go to study buddy! I love that I can use it (the study feature and reflect) without internet because I turn of the internet when I study so I don't get distracted. For a lot of things you need internet so it's nice to have something that doesn't need it for it to work. The only thing I would recommend is to maybe be able to download (in the same app) videos from the see feature and that way you can see it later without internet. Other than that keep up the great work!

I found FilamentBible by accident when I ordered a new Bible last year. It turned my Bible into a study Bible with incredible digital content. Study guides, articles, interactive maps, videos from my favorite folks at The Bible Project - all included.

I’m telling everyone I know that stops moving long enough to listen. It would be even better if you had a navigation setting for bibles that weren’t app-enabled, but the content is so good I’m giving it 5 stars.

I’m really enjoying it as I read through the Bible again this year.

Hey filament, I love FilamentBible and it’s helped me a lot with understanding the Bible, but I am a very audio based learner, if it’s possible can FilamentBible have audio on the study notes and the things we read on the study section? If not add a section where I can copy and paste the word so I can apply it through a program where the words can be read to me! Thank you, besides all that you guys did a great Job on FilamentBible , please do me this one favor and I truly believe it will increase the learning for many readers.

I love my bible app filament with my NLT digital enabled app study notes plus so much more. I have an apple IPhone and iPad. I think that is why it worked flawlessly for me. It was an easy set up for both. Those complaining might not have same equipment. It is so convenient to read extra info and background! So much for free and still have a thin nice bible to carry!

Unless I’m missing something, FilamentBible doesn’t include a way to search for particular words in scripture, like a concordance does. Often, I want to find a passage & I know a key word or 2. With a concordance, I can look up the word & have several options of places to look. I have been unable to do that with FilamentBible. I looked at the tutorial, but didn’t find a way to search. If there is a way to do a word search, please respond. Otherwise, FilamentBible is very helpful. Thanks.

I reviewed FilamentBible a while ago. Changed to one star this time. FilamentBible has been updated since my last review but still no reader view. Why have you not upgraded the text color, size option or provided a dark setting. The print is really small and hard to read. Very disappointing that you don’t care about older readers.

I love FilamentBible but why not make it easier to read. Provide a readers version or make the print contrast better. Gray print on white is too hard to see.

I love this entire concept and it is executed so beautifully. Filament is probably my favorite Bible and is prefect for reading, study, devotions, etc.

FilamentBible is stable and does what it is supposed to do. It is a treasure trove of resources that allows the Bible itself to have a clean, readable layout.

**One thing I would suggest though is that FilamentBible itself has a reading mode in it where you can read the text in FilamentBible away from the physical book. That way, if you are somewhere without the text block you can still interact with the same resources and text on the go.

This is such a great app! I’ve been only using it for a few days since I purchased a Bible that’s connected to it. It has so much to help you understand scripture and grow in the Lord. Thank you so much! I’m already telling others about it!

I really like the concept using FilamentBible and bible together and really hope it stays around. My only reason for not giving higher rating is FilamentBible doesn’t read the page number correctly. It usually takes 3 or 4 tries before reading the correct page number. But once it does, love it. If this gets resolved I will certainly update this review.

Even though it can’t read page numbers sometimes you still have the ability to get to the right page easily.

I like the concept of the Filament Bible app, but it feels more like a beta than a final product. The features need to be built out more, especially when you compare to the competition, like the ESV Bible app, for example, which is much more feature-rich.

A great feature for your users is to provide the ability to take notes and associate those notes to specific books or verses.

This is a great resource, but when I want to take notes, it would be so helpful if FilamentBible allowed Split Screen, so I could take notes alongside, as I navigate in FilamentBible 😁

Love FilamentBible but find it hard to scan the page. I guess it is because I shake too much. Wish it was better to use on this part but I do look it up manually and it works but the scanning of the page is quite difficult for me.
