I CANNOT ANYMORE!!!!

ColorNoirBlackColoringBook is very limited for the price. I have been a customer for a couple of years and will not be renewing. In the past couple of years there has been no upgrades to ColorNoirBlackColoringBook . The images are recycled, don’t put a mandala behind a picture and upload it as a new one, it’s simply not. I found many free apps that allow so much more. Do they have a lot of POC in the other apps? Nope , but at least I can alter an image and make it how I choose. The other apps have blank pages where you can draw or color something of your own. The other app has a way to interact with other people without having to go through social media. The only way to interact with others on ColorNoirBlackColoringBook is through social media and not everyone is on social media. I’m tired of having to zoom all the way in on pictures to color just the smallest detail or not being able to color a detail because you can’t do something as simple as change the size of the pencil. There’s only 2 options and that’s fill-in or pencil. If it’s a background that is more complex than a mandala you can’t even color it, it all fills in as the same color. And because they sort of add their own gray scale to the pictures , the color you choose will look different on every picture. ColorNoirBlackColoringBook NEEDS A-LOT OF WORK!!

Love most of the art

Would love to give it 5 stars, but a lot of the art is lacking in creativity. Some of the backgrounds are patterns that serve no purposes and very time consuming to color. It’s as if you’re just trying to fill in a space vs giving us actual items to color. There is the ability to create colors, but would like to be able to create more iridescent and blended colors. Other then your People category the other categories are pitiful and I I would give them 2 stars. I subscribe to many other color apps and yours is the only e that never deliver new pics on time. I do t think I’ll renew when my subscription is over.

Great art & skin tone options but...

I’ve used other coloring apps for years and was excited to see this one come out. I love how it features a wide range of Black skin tones. There are two features I think it needs to include. First, it needs to auto-rotate (I use it on an iPad and need it to work in landscape mode in order to prop it up). Second, please remove the shading on the pictures. I’m not sure why photos of Black people in coloring apps are often pre-shaded. It’s annoying to have to figure out how the shading will alter the colors that we pick.

If these issues changed, I’d easily sign up for a year subscription and increase the rating.

Love It!! (but Some Fixes Are Need)

First let me say THANK YOU for creating ColorNoirBlackColoringBook!!! I love being able to add “Flavor” to drawings that look like myself, my family and friends.... Two thing I would love to point out, however, is that 1) Some of the “skin tones” don’t translate very well onto the drawing and 2) There are some portions of the drawings that cannot be customized because the sections bleed together. For example, I want fully able to color one of the drawings because changing the background also changed the color of the characters face/eyebrow. But again - I Want To COMMEND YOU for creating something that represents people of color!!! It is TRULY APPRECIATED!!!

Great idea… needs to be cleaned up

I love this adult coloring book. It’s literally the only one out where you can switch modes from 1 click to really feel like you’re coloring if you have a pencil…to a extent. How to pick colors needs a better. Needs an easier way to go through the colors. More tools needed to really customize the color you want. When you zoom in you can literally see the actual person (creepy). The further you scroll the pictures gets worse being see through without even clicking on it. A better selection needs to be done in all categories. The most pictures are in the “people” category. Again love ColorNoirBlackColoringBook, great idea. Just put some work into it. If you’re going to do something do it BIG and with CONFIDENCE! 😘

Too Difficult for My Elderly Brain

Yeah…. I thought this would be more like other coloring apps I’ve used where you just tap a number and match it to the same number in a picture.
As much as I 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙮 appreciate the ability to choose colors that represent more closely the 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙧𝙚 spectrum of my people—as opposed to matching numbers and random colors—navigating ColorNoirBlackColoringBook was a bit too challenging for me and the cognitive issues I’ve been experiencing lately.
I really 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 this idea I just wish it were a bit simpler for me to use.
(Cognitive issues are 𝙨𝙤 not fun.🥺😞)
Thank you so much though for having a better idea!

Representation Matters!

Omg I LOVE a ColorNoirBlackColoringBook! I normally use actual coloring books, but my friend from college created some pages on ColorNoirBlackColoringBook so I decided to check it out & oh my, it’s soo relaxing & fun! I recently deleted social media & ColorNoirBlackColoringBook has taken over when I’m bored or just need something to help calm/center me. I love that fact that it has people that look like MY family! My daughter enjoys coloring people that look like her & her friends. The creators did an amazing job with this one. I’m so proud that there is a space for me now, my daughter that gives various skin tones, & hair types! I can go on for days but I’ll stop here. Thank you for this one ❤️

Amazing

I love ColorNoirBlackColoringBook. I love the pictures. However, not all of the pictures are set up correctly. If I go to color the face on some, it colors one of the eye lashes or if I color the hair it colors part of the background. I see some pictures that were able to separate the colors, I can’t. Maybe it’s only on iPhone? Also the shades of the pictures make some colors look different.

But, it’s only like that on some pictures… I’ve been finding tons of pictures that doesn’t have problem. I wish none of them did, because I enjoy ColorNoirBlackColoringBook so much.

Color Noir Fan

I love ColorNoirBlackColoringBook! It has great quality. But the 1 thing is that, the good pictures are all locked. And I’m not saying that ugly or bad quality pictures are unlocked, it’s just that, the ones that are blocked, they are better. But now your probably saying “Why don’t you just unblock them?” But that’s the issue, I can’t. I have to pay like $30-$60 just to unlock the great pictures. But other then that, I love ColorNoirBlackColoringBook, It is so fun and you can use your creatively designed mind, just for ColorNoirBlackColoringBook. I love this so much! One of the best coloring apps ever!!

Bye,
Color Noir Fan! <3

LOVE IT!!!

I’ve always liked coloring books and as an adult, its considered pretty childish to color a real coloring book. So i’ve definitely fallen in love with mobil app coloring books. This one is BY FAR my favorite because all of the characters look like me or someone in my family. There isn't much black representation in standard books so this was a phenomenal idea and i hope they keep expanding!

The only reason i gave them 4 stars is because the pages are grey, not white, so coloring in white is impossible and when you use light colors they look kinda weird/dirty. Other than that this is definitely worth the time. Such a good book!💙💙💙💙💙

Excited for this

I haven’t even opened this yet and I’m still very excited for it I’m out of school that the teachers are 90% white yet or demographic for our students is 80% black student so there’s not as many things as I’d like to see that represents them and representation does matter so the fact that I can give them just something as simple as a coloring page that looks like them for when I do recess and things like that (I’m a teachers aide) really brings me a lot of joy. Thank you for this.

Baby, it don’t get no betta’

I lost all my beautiful pictures on the update. App was force closing so I updated it in ColorNoirBlackColoringBook Store and was still force closing. Restarted iPad and same problem. I Tried another app and wasn’t feeling it so I went back and deleted this one and re-download it. So everything is gone but I love seeing my people in an app! I want to support and being able to color such cute pictures in different shades and variations and create my own color palette….ugh ColorNoirBlackColoringBook is everything!!!

Therapy at my fingertips

I turned to ColorNoirBlackColoringBook as I was in the middle of a crying episode. It was easy to use and very soothing. I loved the color and template choices. I mostly enjoyed the freedom to create whatever I wanted. And I loved that I saw myself in the designs. I was doodling like “yeah I would rock this. She looks like me!” I’m so happy I found ColorNoirBlackColoringBook. I was crying because I was thinking of my mom who made her heavenly transition. And I couldn’t help but think how much she would have loved ColorNoirBlackColoringBook because she loved creating. I feel a connection with her when using ColorNoirBlackColoringBook. Thank you.

I’m over joy

I’m Shaunta and I am full of joy to finally have a coloring book that look like me. We didn’t have a coloring book for our ppl growing up here it is I’m almost 39 and feel like a lil kid right now. I told my sisters to get ColorNoirBlackColoringBook for they girls. In times like these we needed something to uplift our young Princesses and prince and encourage them so they can see they can be the first to do anything they put they mind too. Thank you color noir for making my dream as an little girl come true. I love ColorNoirBlackColoringBook and my printable coloring book

Legit my #1 app on my phone & iPad

First off, REPRESENTATION MATTERS! I am so in love with the designs, the people, the patterns and the inclusivity Color Noir offers.

It is so refreshing to tell therapy clients about ColorNoirBlackColoringBook and to be able to create pieces dripping in melanin & with so many shades to choose from, there truly is something for everyone here!

I personally downloaded Color Noir for myself and for Art Therapy usage. When the developers say “all ages” they mean it. I really enjoy the complexities of some of the pieces but also love that there are less challenging ones for my 9 year old to create as well.

This is also my favorite “Miss, do you have games on your phone?” App to pass around to my nieces and nephews. It has been a life saver at several BBQ’s this summer and the parents (myself included) didn’t feel like we were handing off our child a device for a parenting break, resting assure that this is one of the “Good Apps”.

I strongly encourage you to download ColorNoirBlackColoringBook for yourself or the young people in your life, you won’t be disappointed!!!

A FUBU coloring book!

I love to color and have a bunch of for us by us physical coloring books but I wanted a coloring app I could do on my phone and iPad when I didn’t feel like busting all my stuff out and I’m so happy I found this! Other coloring books don’t include us when they create the female and male images. Like yes I can color her dark skin buttt her features and hair won’t fit 🙄. The color options are bombbb anddd you can make your own colors! None of the other 3 coloring books I downloaded had this option. They also didn’t have the GIF feature, for when you’re done. I love it so much I’m buying the premium version lol

Thank you for creating this.

Thank you for this brilliant app!!! I’m always using my iPad to draw/color digital art on different coloring apps but could never find anything that represents us. So, I would usually color the digital art and make the characters black even though their features were not. I got tired of the lack of representation and decided to search for black owned coloring books to download for iPad. That’s when your article popped up and I got too excited. I never knew something like this existed before and I wished I would have found ColorNoirBlackColoringBook sooner instead of wasting my time and money on those other apps.

PERFECT REPRESENTATION!!!

I am so excited and relieved to use ColorNoirBlackColoringBook!!! I will admit that I was a little skeptical about downloading ColorNoirBlackColoringBook at first but I am really glad that I went ahead and did. In my spare time or when I just need me time for myself I tend to color. I’ve always seen these other apps advertise on Facebook like they had these types of pictures but when I go download it they didn’t have the kind of pictures that they were advertising , but ColorNoirBlackColoringBook is the TRUTH!!! It’s like a dream come true to finally get to color a picture that represent people like me and my kinds of hairstyles especially during the times that we are in now. If there were to actually come out in with actual coloring books I would most definitely go buy every single one that comes out( I’ve already downloaded and printed out the free version that they have)!!!!!!!!!

Amazing App

With a wide variety of skin tones and cultural images, this color app allowed my 5yo daughter and I to color a picture together while she asked questions to learn more about herself. She told me that she wanted to have one of the dresses like this because they are beautiful and so pretty. It provided another opportunity to explain to her the specialness of the patterns with her while she got to make them the colors she wanted. It’s more than a coloring app, it’s a chance to open the dialogue with your children.

i’m crying in the club rn

when i tell y’all i am SO excited to use ColorNoirBlackColoringBook! for years i always liked to do color/paint by number during my free time, and i always noticed that the coloring apps would either barely or never have black people or our culture featured in any section. that always sat in the back of my mind and kinda made me upset. i’m sure ColorNoirBlackColoringBook developers know that people all races use their apps, so why not represent all races within that app? why not support those who support you, you feel me? out of all of the coloring apps i would play, i never saw a single picture with my people or my color in there. it made me feel left out, and like i was being used. that is until i came across THIS coloring app, and this sudden wave of warmth and excitement just washed over me. finally, the representation we deserve and need! 🙌🏾 i just wanna thank ColorNoirBlackColoringBook developers for making this, you made my whole week! i’ll be playing this for the rest of my life!
