Several times I have found myself all the way to the end of a page of dictation but the software has only recorded half of what I spoke. I don’t trust it

Now I realize that it will only record 60 seconds at a time in the free version. I would be happy to upgrade to the premium version and only 599 a year but it will automatically renew at the end of the year and you can’t cancel in advance without losing the value of your first years subscription, well that’s the way they like to play the game and I wish them luck

I was specifically looking for an app that could import an imported voice recording and then transcribe it. I was impressed by the developers written responses to clients, and could see that the price is right for my occasional need for this task, so I purchased the premium version and then immediately imported a recording of a friend that I had made using my go-to recording app which is Voice Record Pro, with my iPhone sitting next to the MacBook Air over which the voice was being heard. That means I was recording a broadcast voice rather than a person talking into the iPhone mic. Then I exported that to my iCloud account, then I imported that from iCloud into VoiceToText Pro Premium, but it was not able to even get into the ballpark of doing a minimally acceptable transcription. Obviously this is not an optimal situation, but it is a real world task that is needed.

You should at least provide a trial version of VoicetoTextPro so potential users can try out using the translation from an external voice file feature before they pay for the subscription. Just add a watermark to the text output but at least the user will know if your app will work before wasting they money then finding out it doesn’t.
I can’t believe how horrible it did while translating my voice memo file.

I’ve been using the pro version for a couple of years and it worked OK but I updated VoicetoTextPro four days ago and it erased my entire file base I lost all my notes (I use this for my daily record of hours worked in my business) then I tried to contact the developer twice no three times still no answer could not find any technical assistance on Google and there is virtually no where to turn to so I’m dropping this from my life right now. Beware...

I have tried VoicetoTextPro on and off for several months in hopes bugs would be fixed. I have tried to transcribe my thoughts of significant importance multiple times. Only to be disappointed when VoicetoTextPro does not save it and says to contact support. VoicetoTextPro does not support the latest Apple products and iOS devices with consistency. It can maybe save one note but my experiences trying to save a second note crashes VoicetoTextPro ! At this point it is time to eliminate it from my apps for good.

I have to say the support team has been on this problem super fast. As of three day since I bought the premium version of VoicetoTextPro I still have not been able to get it to work. Now this doesn’t not for now seem to be the developers problem as my iPhone running on iOS 12.4.1 does not have any way to do the fixes of the problem. I know!! What gives Apple. My iOS seems to not ya e a specific Siri and Search category in setting with a dictation button to switch on and off. So let’s see what the problem solvers come up with and I will issue an update. Still no app function, but working on it.

I will let you know if the support team ever contacts me, but I paid $5.99 for the pro version and VoicetoTextPro has never worked.

I keep getting an error memo that says speech recognition is not working, EVEN THOUGH I didn’t need speech recognition. I needed to transcribe some voice memos.

Every time I add a file I get that error message. I deleted VoicetoTextPro and added it again but it made no difference.

They basically just stole my money

Out would be five stars if I could edit the text without it reverting to the default screen of the phone. I have to try several times to get it to say what I want without autocorrect changing wear to where or ware...late to laid etc. I tap the screen and VoicetoTextPro disappears. My Mom is deaf and this doesn't work without frustration. I usually go to "NOTES" and use that because I can correct any incorrect autocorrect one time instead of five or six. Just spent an agonizing Dr's visit. Took way too long to put what the Dr was saying into text. A pencil would have worked better.

Fix it.

Before purchasing VoicetoTextPro, transcribing from voice to text, was excellent in the beginning. After purchasing stayed the same for a short period of time. After several uses, the conversion from audio to text became less accurate. Now VoicetoTextPro doesn’t recognize the voice or unable to start transcribing into text consistently.
I try to restart VoicetoTextPro and the phone and close all apps and and. I hope they can help with this issue

Hi, I read that VoicetoTextPro would transcribe audio files longer than sixty seconds so I bought the premium subscription. Although it transcribes a quarter page of text I need it to transcribe a one hour long conversation. I recognize this is a huge request. However, I’m not able to use VoicetoTextPro . Could I get a refund?

Years ago, I hoped for the means to express vocally what took more time to enter data. Looks like my search is over! Thank you so much, Voice To Text Pro!

My wife is literally deaf, so we use it almost totally for me to “talk” to her . I dictate into the I- phone and hand it to her; she reads it and speaks back to me . Sure, some words get messed-up, but it does a remarkable job . Without it, we’d really have much more serious communication problems. Thx.

I am an Instructional Designer and online instructor. There are many opportunities to create audio files from lectures, interviews and video ... there hasn’t been an affordable means to create transcripts. Using voice to text I am able to rapidly produce manuscripts to help learners access content offline. I am also using the program to “speak my book into existence”

The support team was very timely in getting my issue fixed. It turned out to be a setting my phone and not a bug with in VoicetoTextPro ! So excited to get back to using it, it makes my homework so much easier and actually super fun. It feels so effortless to turn out large amounts of typing, truly a saving grace!!

By far the best, most accurate and easiest to use voice to text app i have used. I use the text created from my class lecture as a way to refine content for improved flow in future lectures! It’s a great way to assist students with follow up in study material for all learning styles. Plus, I can dictate my grocery shopping list on the fly 😊.

Voice to Text Pro exceeds all my expectations.

My only suggestion would be for a prominent warning to confirm and SAVE a transcription note so that it is not lost if the device is used for, another function such as an incoming call, or an alarm, or viewing a stopwatch. That cost me a note.

By emailing myself a note, I am able to copy and paste it into a word document and edit it readily. This is a great boon for producing legal or personal documents and records.

I find the transcription is great for keeping track of athletic progress, such as elapsed jogging times, pulse rates, distance, and weather conditions.

This is a godsend to a totally deaf person who is waiting on an operation. Most people dont know how frustrating it is for people to repeat themselves why you try your best to understand and communicate. If this program continues to work it will bridge a gap for a hearing disabled person.

VoicetoTextPro helps me communicate with my husband. He had a stroke several years ago that affected his ability to understand spoken words, aphasia. With VoicetoTextPro I can type out words or sentences. This helps him to read what is being said. It is very frustrating for him when he is left out of a conversation because he cannot always understand. It also helps me. Repeating a word or phrase over and over again can be very exhausting. It is easy to loose patience, even though you know he cannot help his a ability to hear and understand.

My dad is 97 and has become totally deaf. This has been a life saver! I used to write everything down. That got to be very hard on the arm and hands!!! I do wish there was a way to make the text bigger. If there is I can’t figure it out. Highly recommend !

Awesome BEST YET! I actually wish there were one that formatted itself with correct punctuation and capitalization, commas, quotes, etc. I wish I could attach an Alarm to a dictated note. Any future updates out there?
ALL in ALL it is very good text to speech app. It’s pretty cool how it will also type out a recording. Pretty cool...

I have been been searching for this solution for years. It works well on a phone with iOS 16-17. (My iPod touch with iOS 15 requires dictation and speech recognition permissions + WiFi to operate properly, which I don’t allow, but iOS 17 doesn’t require the permissions to transcribe files; Siri is not enabled on my phone.)

This is accurate and simple to use; I’ve tried many transcription services and this is as good as it gets short of human transcription, but it is the only one that is also affordable and private. I recommend changing the setting to save notes automatically for those who have the space, btw.

As a writer who does a lot of thinking via audio, I have bent over backwards trying to solve the transcription problem for years. I actually never subscribe to any app service, but I made an exception and purchased a year of this one so that I can transcribe audio files. I am thrilled! I pray it remains private and affordable in the years to come🙏.
