Be warned

Typical money grab game. Great game when it first started but now they only care about your money. No customer support, they will tell you to contact customer support by email which never gets answered. Which you will see in their reply. If you do play, play a melee style character.... this game has turned into the typical stealth kill game where you see the opponent for about 8-10 seconds for the duration of the fight and they can kill you without any effort. Or roll a bow character, they can kill casters without any skill just stand still and press 3 buttons. If you want to even enjoy the game a little don’t be a caster type, this game does not play well for magic style casters. Remember it’s a mobile game and they nerf casters so that it can be melee mobile friendly. RIP to anything that needs a magic staff. And be careful about giving money to people or accepting money from people. They will ban you with out just cause and not care at all how much evidence you give them to show your side. They just keep your hard earned money and time. This game is a mobile game now and should be treated as one. Great to play for free but do not by gold in game. The devs can not be trusted to be fair.

Very astonishing

This game is very addicting I have just downloaded this yesterday and already clocked in over 10 hours of gameplay this game is so vast and such a big world that there is only one server that holds tons of players in it and this game makes you important because everything is player crafted and you contribute to the economy as you gather and sell all kinds of materials or fight monsters and enemies in dungeons this game is truly an amazing experience. There are some problems I have though like the fact that in the pictures the game advertises for you to be able to build a home and the personal island my issue is in the game you have to pay for 25 days or a month of premium to be eligible to purchase the island I think that this is not right and players should be able to purchase the island with more in game currency then have to buy premium just make the price of the island go up and keep it the same price for players who buy premium because the island is an entirely important price of the game that almost none of the players will get to experience.

Great game

My son and I were looking for a game to play together that operated like WOW. We new this would be a trail run for us, and we wanted some time to get into the game, so we started over Christmas break 2023. We did pour a good amount of time into it, and we have seen the returns. We really like this game. We have not found it difficult to make game currency (silver). We have not found it to be difficult to advance. We are not PVP guys. We stay in Tier 5 and down areas. We are settling into a grove. Oh, we did each buy a month of premium. I don’t know if we will continue, but I have no problem supporting a game if it is fun. I have not found the in-apps purchases to be intrusive or even necessary. I will say the 30 learning points you get from premium service is great, but I could see us grinding through without them if we choose to go back free. We are 3 weeks in and we are making about 400k silver per day each doing about an hour of grinding. The only thing I have not liked is not being able to do something quick if I have 15 during my day before I start playing at night. Hard to get into anything without dedicating an hour to it. There might be some things we don’t know about yet, but this is my biggest complaint thus far.

Some of the one star reviews are not true.

The games IS free to play. Although you need premium to access some of the game mechanics. But there are many ways to make millions of silver without premium. Once you start making millions, you can buy premium with in game currency pretty easily.
Of course being an full loot pvp game, it could be brutal to some new players. Ganking and bullying is part of the game mechanics. But if you don't want to be ganked, you can just stay in the blue or yellow areas, where nobody can take your hard earn loot. I’ve been playing for 4 months and I’m a solo player.
When you make enough money you can venture into the red zones with confidence knowing that if you die you can alway buy your gear back and try again. The benefits of going to the full loot areas outweighs the cons.
To put an end to my review. This is a pretty good and exhilarating game, if you are not afraid to risk your loot. And even if you are, there are tons of things to do in this world that don't require big guilds or parties to enjoy the game.

Really good but not easy

I really like the game, it’s one of those type of games that you need to Google how the heck to do something. And after tier 2 equipment stuff is almost never as easy as u think. Like transporting lumber to a town without much of it. You either take a short path that is dangerous, a long path that is safe but unbearably long, or a boat which would charge you more than the product is worth. (If you’re taking a boat you might as well just strip down to your drawls and only bring money cuz you will lose around 10,000 silver or more trying to get on the boat with your “cargo” (basically everything you got on you)). And when you get to the town that you thinking of, the product might be selling at a lower price than what you were anticipating because other people had the same idea and also sold lumber at that town.( so the product would be basically unneeded and therefore cheaper than other places) Basically making the whole trip not worth it. But despite that it’s a really good planned out game. 👍🏽

God, but…

Albion Online provides a more intense experience with death having serious consequences. Because of this you need to plan out how you do things a lot more carefully, having the player interact more with its fully player driven economy. On top of all of this there is the immersive classless system where your here is your build. With all this customization and interactivity there’s a lot to do with Albion, which for an MMO that is accessible on both mobile and PC is pretty cool, however I do find some of the games features to be lacking.

For instance, the instanced dungeon mechanics feel wholly unrewarding in their current state compared to other content that is just as accessible, not to mention certain aspects of the game feel somewhat dated with a lack of viewing swaths of market data within the player driven economy. The only other MMO I have ever witnessed perform well with what I call “Market-Based PVP” is Eve Online, which I feel Albion should take a couple pages from for inspiration on some future ideas for their game.

In all, it’s a good game, but I feel it could be made better with some remarkable improvements to some early game and entry-level mid game mechanics.

Awesome game! But not so great community

Really loved how you can be who ever you wanna be and how you get to take part of the market. However, the community is not quite as I thought. Must of the time you’ll see people criticizing your build and guild members making you feel like you’re part of the guild without the companionship/fun part and just make you do stuff. At times you’ll find a lot of hackers where you would normally go to loot. I have around 4 days worth of playing it and this are some of the issues that I and a handful of people had to deal with. Despite all of this, I really loved this RuneScape game style tbh. Though there’s a couple of things that you shouldn’t even try to do because of the bigger guilds and the veterans who started since beta. At the moment, it’s a waste of time to spend time crafting equipment or buying a store because of the cartel that exists in the game and the bigger players trying to run any kind of business out. The way you progress is very satisfying. It follows this ideology that practice makes perfect which really suits it. You will try to specialize on your equipment slowly while you unlock new tiers or rarity of equipment that you can equip. Wouldn’t recommend playing solo. If you’re playing with a handful of people, stick with them and don’t interact with others since there have been cases of people joining groups just to tell the assassin where you are.

RuneScape meets Diablo

Excellent game. Focus isn’t on questing or linear stories at all. Focus is PVP, group fights, dungeons, and crafting. If you like Slayer in RS or killing mobs for leveling - this is perfect for you. Camera POV style is like Diablo, 3rd person. Also, similar idea from RuneScape Wildy days in a “drop all loot and gear” zone where the richest mats / exp grinds exist. Other areas exist where you can open faction PVP and capture objectives without dropping loot on death. As well as safe zones. Allows all player types to play their way. Faction warfare is a ton of fun and easy to jump into. Content isn’t usually time sensitive like many MMORPGs so it allows the player to really go at their own pace without the stress of overemphasized daily quests, world boss, etc. - combat is chunky by design and reminds me of RS or WoW Classic combat mechanics. Hyperrealistic graphics are overrated and this delivers what MMORPG fans were looking for. Lastly, there is no need for pay to play - you can grind in game currency to pay for premium. Or you can pay. Same as RS bonds. Enjoy!

One of the best MMOs that you can play today!

Albion Online is an extremely well thought out, and thoroughly crafted game. Just as the genre suggests, this game is truly massive, with a dynamic economy and player driven political systems. Everything in this game runs off of the players. Loot drops that you get from monsters are crafted by players (because of the black market system). Guilds control territories out in the black zones. You can enlist in faction warfare and siege outposts with hundreds of other players.

If combat doesn’t catch your eye, there is an in-depth gathering and crafting system for you to take part in. You can even buy, and manage your own personal island where you can hire laborers, and raise crops and animals. Everyone has a place in this virtual world.

The best part is that this game is free and cross platform on mobile and pc. So grab some friends and enjoy this sandbox that SandBoxInteractive has made for you. It is well worth checking out.

Easily one of the greatest MMORPGs in history.

This game stands up to Ultima Online and RuneScape and smiles in the face of their legacy. I remember when this game released over five years ago on PC (or around five years ago). It was clunky but the developers promised they would give every ounce of energy into this game. It saw dips and peaks in population until their hard work started paying off. Players saw the devotion of the dev team as they continually released high quality content each and every patch. And here we are. The promised iOS patch. This game is in it for the long haul and if you haven’t joined yet, the time is now. Be part of an MMO where you actually matter. No “Kill the rats” quests. No handholding. Community matters in this MMO and what you do actually affects the world. This game is a grind, but if you’re up for the challenge and willing to work alongside others, you will have nights you will never forget with some absolutely wonderful people. This is one of the greatest games I ever played. Enjoy.

Wonderful Economy and System

This has the best economy ever. Albion is just not based with crafting armor and potions and selling it. You can be a farmer and grow crops and animals and even chop them up for meat or you can be a chef making great meals that can also help you in battle. All these things can be sold and you can make a lot of profit threw this. This game has blown my mind on how dynamic the economy is and the amount of things you can do. I love it and I hope you guys add more stuff to make it even more dynamic and spirited. It’s also very good on mobile. Just during group events, it gets a bit laggy but overall it’s a very good game. Also for the people saying that they keep getting ganked. You guys honestly need to stop trying to go the high tier zones so early with no plan. People have high gear and items in those zones. Go with a group and make a plan to go threw those zones. It was just 2 friends and I going through zones and we ganked the gankers and got good valued gear. Think harder not smarter🧐

Albion online choices

I love how there are so many different classes and areas you can go down that are low risk and you can still progress in the game. Of course doing the higher risk higher reward(black zones) is great but you have the chance of losing everything. However you don’t need to do it to progress. On top of that you can play so many different sets and I love how the tier system works allowing you to run the same set just lower tier and slowly upgrade it into 4.1 into rebuying a 6.0 then upgrades to a 6.2 for instance all the way up to 8.4 which in my opinion is great for practicing the set before you play it in black and red zones. You also have hellgates which are so much fun along with corrupted dungeons both can be lethal and non lethal which is a great idea letting the person choose if they are willing risk what they have to maybe get something better or something more. Then you have things like normal dungeons and group dungeons that you both can do with a group solo dungeons being able to solo but can be fun to run with a friend. You also have arena which is another thing that is just great for pvp practice in larger groups without the worry of losing your items as long as you do non lethal.

Love it, but it needs things

First off, this is exactly the sort of game I was looking for. You can create your own story, and there is no junk story you are trying to follow (most MMO use the “chosen one” model, even though you are one of millions of players).

There are a few things I would like to see.

1. It should not cost so much to make small visual changes to characters or guild banners, etc. Such changes are oddly expensive. I’d make vanity items more expensive, and allow players to modify characters and guild stuff with a bit less expense. I mean 1000 gold to change a color on a guild banner? That seems a bit steep. Especially considering I bought a rare mount for WAY less.

2. A vanity item should ALWAYS show up. When you go adventuring, vanity items held in your hands (at least off-hand ones) seem to revert to the actual item held in that hand. Since you should likely be adventuring a good deal of the time, that makes certain vanity items almost pointless to purchase.

3. Duels can get very impactful, even when you are not involved. If enough people are dueling near you, the game can get VERY laggy. Not sure what a good fix for this is, but having one’s ability to actually play the game being affected by other people dueling all over is a bit frustrating.

4. I really wish the camera had more adjustment. Not being able to move the camera around is truly annoying.

All in all though, this is THE BEST MMO on iOS, and by quite a margin. I am thoroughly enjoying it!

Please Help!

I gave Albion a 5 star review because every thing about this game is amazing. The only issue is I have, is that I have never had the chance to play it more than 10min at a time. Albion Online Mobile crashes on me non-stop over and over and over I can barely play for 5min…. I have updated my software, made sure my device was within usage for the game, and made sure I have plenty of storage space on my device to play. Yes the game won’t stop crashing on me, I have emailed the support team and have been patiently waiting to hear back from them for some time now. Can anybody please help me, I really think this is the best game out and it is by far 5 stars; I watch videos on the game all the time and even love being on for the 5mins I can play. I hope someone sees this review and can help me figure out if this has been happening to others, or if there is something I need to do to fix it. Support team, I hope you find this message well as all I want to do is play Albion 👍 thank you

FINALLY a mobile game that abandons microtransactions

I love that this is a truly free to play game. Premium subscription has its perks, but it doesnt strangle the gameplay experience like in other games. Premium service and vanity purchases are how they make their money, not nickeling and diming players to death in micro-transactions just to play the game. Its a lot of fun too. I went ahead and bought 30 days of premium so i could buy and island to build. Best part is, that if I let premium go, I still get to keep my island. I do hope that they expand crafting in the future, more tiers and intricate crafting recipes, maybe even new materials to gather and level like herbalism or even a bard line of crafting playable instruments would be fun. I do hope that mobs become more varied though, the same undead creatures populate the majority of the map I’ve explored, mobs only drop silver too. I would hope for more material drops to craft specialty items. That would make farming them more appealing. So far, its only at rare times that they drop loot bags of random stuff.

Sandbox Masterpiece

Like a lot of new players, I was frustrated by how costly the game could be when going for better rewards in high risk, lethal zones. But the key is to join with a guild or group of players that venture together. Once you’ve done this, entire parts of the game you can’t experience without the protection of a group become available to you. It’s addicting! There are no quests, but that does not mean there’s nothing to do. If you’re into gathering/idling/farm building, this game has that! If you like Guild Wars style combat (limited, but powerful skills) there is no shortage of rewarding pvp. Don’t want to farm for money? Join a bank guild and hunt players for coin. Want to chill? Plenty of safe zones with no risk of gear loss for death. It all comes down to what do you want to do? Who do you want to be? If you’re a villainous type, the black zone smugglers have a place for you. If you’re a paladin protector or avenger of all things pure, there’s some juicy Morgana for you to munch on. But there’s always risk for high rewards; you’ll need a team. Are you ready to make your mark? Albion!

8/10

The good: this game is very immersive with being able to do things like crafting and fighting. All items were once crafted by players, even ones dropped by mobs from the black market where players can sell items which goes to the mobs dropsPvP is amazing to play with the black zone where everyone is hostile. PvE is also fun to play with the many, MANY weapons. Premium is free if you have silver to spare (it does cost a lot) however you can pay for it.

The bad: the community is horrible, scammers are everywhere. Some common scams are, dueling a player and waging thousands of silver because they may be clicking the middle of their screen, putting taxes on repairing stations to cost more silver then needed, people whom want to join guilds may be asked to go to a red or a black zone to do “tryouts” resulting in them being killed and losing all their stuff, speaking of guilds some go to new players and invite them to their guilds and make it so when they kill a monster the tax makes it so they make no money from it. The graphics are also… bad to say the least. This game can be P2W in buying gold and premium at the start of the game for a huge boost.

Better than expected! And expected good!

I dont write reviews. But i just felt the need to let people know this game is 10/10 so far. Im new to the game and play it everyday already. I love that the game is alive and well. Its fun, its rewarding and is still being updated. A couple times Ive tried getting into Runescape over the last couple years but just couldn't get invested. Ive been looking at this game for a few years as well, but I'm not sure if it was paid access or what that stopped me. But I played this and was invested immediately. I am using the iPhone XS max. And considering my phone is outside the recommended criteria. Im very impressed that i can run Ultra settings, but with some fps drops in areas. But i lower my settings a little for the stability in high traffic areas and to save my battery. I do crash every now and then after having AlbionOnline open for awhile. I estimate 3 crashes in 8hrs of gameplay. But it boots back up so fast its no issue.

To the Devs: please add touchscreen control support or add the mobile version to the microsoft store or something. I wanted to play this on my Microsoft Surface as well. Also future Nintendo Switch support would be GOLDEN!

One of the best games I've played.

To be honest I really enjoy this game. The playstyle is very easy and entertaining. The game does a lot of good things and can catch just about anyone with everything you can do in the game. Whether it's wanting to pvp, the game has a excellent pvp system but could use more variety. The weapons in my opinion closely balanced. I've used about every type and can still do a build worth doing. If you want to pve, it has hidden dungeons, expeditions, camps and forts to fight. It's very nice and group friendly if you struggle on anything your friends or guild can help. If pvp or pvp aren't your thing there is the gathering/crafting side as well. On top of that there is also building on your personal island or farming/breeding to make money or cooking. The game has multiple aspects which makes this game incredible. But I would agree the game needs to work on the farming times. They are a bit too long to really consider it anything of use. The game does have its ticks but that's every game. You won't find another game that is this will put together. If course it still needs work but that's any game. 5/5 for me would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Albion Review

Definitely has me more hooked then I have been in other games similar. World of Warcraft is a great example. I feel like I simply have more freedom and options to do what I want in Albion Online. This is a great starter game for anyone looking for a chill in-game lifestyle, or a hardcore gaming empire. Albion is exactly like it is in the Ads, no let down anywhere in sight. Even offering ways to make your path without spending any real money, for example, if you can’t afford premium for a “personal island”, guilds have “guild islands” with the same functionality as a personal island for free, with the same wide variety of options with what to do with said island. I’ve invited my friends to play Albion with me, even though they don’t like MMORPG style games, they said they enjoyed Albion as a sandbox game because of the loose story and freedom to choose. Great game, love the look, amazing time playing. This is TuckerPerth out to do more fishing. In-Game ofc!
