Wifi Widget - See, Test, Share Reviews

I wanted a widget to quickly see the WiFi network I am connected to. WifiWidget is supposed to do that but it doesn’t. Seems like just an ad placement to get you to sign up for their subscription. No thanks.

It’s misleading, you can’t use its only features until you pay and they only offer a monthly payment plan for a VPN service there’s constant ads, the speed is wrong and unreliable and the one thing is was useful for, being able to go directly to WiFi settings menu by tapping it, is no longer possible, I believe it’s because apple removed the ability for widgets to open the settings menu unfortunately

At purchase moment WifiWidget was just a copy of WiFi Share by WiFi Map LLC. It was little better so I used this one instead.
WifiWidget made good thing, store passwords and ability to copy paste them.

Some time passed and WifiWidget had more and more features that most likely not needed but used more UI space .
So now you have same app but with big buttons that promoting to buy some VPN service and if you don’t want it you still easily can press promotions mistakenly that is annoying.

If you need app for easy copy paste wifi passwords, don’t buy this copy app, find original WiFi Share by WiFi Map LLC

The reason WifiWidget was featured in lifehacker, etc was because it gave a convenient shortcut to your Wi-Fi settings. WifiWidget no longer does that. I have no idea why the developer would remove that feature. It is the one and only reason I downloaded WifiWidget . (and probably the reason you are looking at downloading it too.)

Please fix this bug that makes WifiWidget unusable. Cannot test speed or do anything without starting a free 1 wk trial. I’m on latest iOS upgrade with a 13Pro. Or is the intent false advertising / deceptive marketing per FTC definition?

After downloading WifiWidget. All the features I wanted to use is part of the paid version. Basically everything such as testing, privacy. It's all part of the paid version. I don't mind paying a one time fee for WifiWidget . But a monthly subscription I believe is a rip off. App deleted.

I followed the instructions but when tapping to do the speed test on lock screen, it takes me directly to WifiWidget and asks for me to upgrade to pro for 4.99 monthly. If there are monthly fees, they should be spelled out ahead of time in WifiWidget Store, or descriptions. Thank you.

Used to be able to open the networks page in settings with one click. For some reason they took that away, and now it's a mediocre app should you want network you're on. Very disappointing...

Saves you one tap on the settings icon which can be nice. Let's you easily send SSID and password via text or 3rd party email—which you should NEVER do. Just be advised.

The widget is a quick way to see what network you're on and it worked so well I chose to purchase the pro upgrade to get the testing abilities. This is a little inconvenient to use because it only provides either latency or speed from the widget. In order to get both, you have to open WifiWidget and use the menu to select the other test. It would be nice if the test just showed the results of both latency and speed tests simultaneously on the widget.

I've just installed this vpn ths week & so far , as a widget it has been simple , easy to set up & easy to work ? It's a no hassle VPN that will offer you a free service if a pricy VPN is not needed , casual personal use is not complicated , don't need a fancy one, less you do or have tasks & applications that require management of its kind then of course ? You should pay for your t ???

My only wish is that I could test both speed AND latency, and with a single tap. Right now I can only choose one or the other, and there are two taps to run another test after the first is performed. Otherwise I love it!

after update ios 13, I can’t see my wifi’s password in widget anymore.
please fix it.

I frequently switch from one WIFI to another in my work environment and WifiWidget helps me to see immediately what WIFI I am on and lets me quickly switch to a better one. I use it on my phone and iPad and they work seamlessly together. It is handy that they "talk" to each other and share information.
