Flaky software - Always having to login

Solarwinds is notorious for buying companies and just sitting on them with little development. Not to mention not listening to their larger MSP providers on how to improve their software.

This software is really flaky. Just yesterday it would not product the password field. Now I cannot login when I need it. Deleted MSPManager and reinstalled. Still nothing. Now I just was prompted for the 2fa and I can’t paste my 2nd factor into MSPManager . This is just garbage. Solarwinds fix all of your software, mail-assure, RMM, MSP manager. Start making this software best in class and something we can we proud to resell.

Issues creating tickets from ticket requests

Ticket requests when they are created don’t use a rich text field so you get a lot of HTML tags in the ticket response. You can’t see a preview of the contents of the ticket. I would also like to see them improve the ticket creation process by making it automatically choose a service item if there is only one available instead of having to check that each time

Great App

MSPManager is really easy to use and helps me keep track of my customers and tickets on the go. The only real gripe I have is that there is no option to format phone numbers for contacts.

Notifications not working since last update

Notifications haven’t been working since the latest update

Barely usable

So many times ticket requests don’t show and when they do usually unable to see all the detail before having to make into a ticket.

Can’t even log in anymore

MSPManager is so broken I can’t even log in anymore. I usually only use MSPManager for the ticket notifications but today their website is broken so I tried my app on the phone and of course it doesn’t work. Seriously considering moving our ticketing system over to another company.

Frustrated

Face ID has been broken for quite some time. Any ticket created in app is required to be assigned to someone and is automatically assigned to you. Broken Face ID/Touch ID makes you 2FA constantly making it too cumbersome to use at all.

Too cumbersome and too many restrictions

This is an over bloated app with too many restrictions (pre defined non edited or custom fields .. that even super admin can not change )

Their software engineers should keep it simple but yet customizable

Needs work

Just bought into Solarwinds MSP manager for my small IT biz.

MSPManager is rough. Does not take advantage of standard iOS moves like swiping to mark a ticket or any pressure options.

It takes 5 clicks/taps to read and delete a ticket request. It any automated system generates lots of requests, you’ll have a lot of tapping to do.

Really, if it were upgraded to allow simpler, more Apple intuitive methods of interfacing it would be better.

Need to Re-Login Every 2 weeks

This is so annoying.. I have to re-enter all the info and then when I copy the MFA code from my Authenticator app, you can’t paste it into MSPManager because of some strange bug. My Bank apps don’t ask me to sign in every two weeks so there is no reason MSPManager should. I use MSPManager when I’m on the go between customers and usually in a rush and guess what Murphy’s Law! Every single time.
Updating tickets isn’t very intuitive especially when entering time. You click on it and the only option is to start the timer and not add it manually

Lack of basic functionality

- Unable to pull basic reports
- Copy pase the password doesn’t work properly
- It does’t integrate with Passportal. Or that may be an issue with Passportal app, regardless it’s the same company.

The notifications don’t work since the last update.

Unusable...only shows portion of text in tickets. Starting and stopping timers is a joke too.
