Best comprehensive running program!

TRE offers the running program I’ve been hoping to find for the past 10 years. It offers multiple training tracks that cover different distances, ability levels, and injury status. The emphasis is on good form and quality runs, which they back up with built in strength and cross training days. I haven’t gotten that anywhere else!

The coaches also encourage you to stray from a program if it doesn’t feel right. I was on my way back from an achilles injury when I joined and got lots of positive support from coaches and the community for swapping an interval workout with a mobility one. And yet having a program to follow has been huge for my motivation and accountability.

As far as TheRunExperience itself goes, I have only minor issues. I wish the next training session of my program would show up when I open TheRunExperience . I skipped a workout earlier and now I have to scroll down from that day to get to where I left off. It could navigate more smoothly, but any limitations are more than made up for by the incredible content!

Great training programs!

Each program concentrates on the different aspects of training (nutrition, strength, core work, etc) that most people forget about or decide to ignore or skip, typically ending in injury. Modifications and different levels of exercises are suggested so that any runner, no matter their current level of fitness, can reach their goals. Sometimes TheRunExperience can be a little buggy, but their customer service is great! They will always respond to concerns about TheRunExperience or questions about the programs! TRE includes a supportive community, too! I was able to train for my first half marathon successfully because of TRE. I’m currently using their marathon training program to train for my first marathon in the fall. Thank you TRE for all that you do and for helping me realize that I am a runner and that I can accomplish whatever I set my mind to!

Great training resources, tech needs work

I run marathons and rely heavily on online coaching for my training. I previously used SportMe and am shocked at the quality difference with TRE. The training is thorough and has completely overhauled my running form. I’ve never felt better running. My only critique is the actual user experience. I can’t use TheRunExperience to record my runs as it’s faulty and messes with my music volume and often pauses itself or resets mid-run. I end up starting the workout to read the daily routine before closing the whole app to record on my Apple Watch. For the price I think this feature could be improved. Nit picking here, but I really wish the strength workouts were full videos rather than clips. They are so dull to complete, especially since the clips replay themselves and I’m completely wiped out from completing my 150th burpee. It’s always more encouraging for me to workout with the trainer going through it alongside. But still worth it. Thanks for building such a great resource!

LOVE the advice!!!

Long story short, I had two injuries to my left foot (fracture followed by arch collapse) 6 years ago and it’s been an adventure getting back into running. I’ve slowly improved and then would have a setback and this just repeated for years. I finally got to the point I could run for about 30 seconds and could walk for 60 and repeat for about 20 minutes. But my feet didn’t feel right. They didn’t feel strong, I could tell they were flexing when they shouldn’t and not flexing when they should and I had no idea how to fix it. I watched ONE video and did the exercises for 3 weeks and I am now running pain free, and it is so comfortable!!! I literally have not felt this good in 7 years and I’m so excited to keep going on my running journey. I can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge!

Top notch app and Coaches

TRE is everything and more that I had hoped to find in a training program! Just an average runner who has run 3 other Marathons and wanted something new that would help guide me and PR for next race. These Coaches truly are tremendous along with the community of runners who have the same dreams as yourself. The resources TRE offers is top notch with coaching videos that teach you mobility, flexibility, and proper running form right along with the mental and nutritional aspects of running. These Coaches care about each and everyone and it shows in their passion to make everyone better! They will be right their with you for every step! TheRunExperience is very handy and easily navigable. I strongly would recommend this to anyone with a dream no matter age or running expertise!

5 star coaching in a 5 star app

I have been using The Run Experience program for quite a while. I have loved the information, videos, resources, and community TRE has to offer. TheRunExperience puts everything into one handy location. I am currently training for my first marathon. TheRunExperience walks me through each training day and allows me to provide feedback on TheRunExperience and my training session each time. Someone always reads the feedback and sends a response. I would like it to interface with my Garmin, but the fact that it doesn’t is not a deal breaker. It maintains all of my info related to the session I do. Great job TRE! See y’all at the finish line!

Great App!

There are quite a few options on TheRunExperience , even without paying for the premium subscription (Nothing against the premium subscription — I just VERY rarely pay for app premium subscriptions).

I love the running community within the appz Members can post about their runs, their issues, their questions, and anything else within a motivating and encouraging community. I also really like the training ideas, mini workouts, and videos. The website is incredible too, and TheRunExperience creators have a lot of excellent tips and tricks videos available for runners!

Love It!

This is my first experience using a running app and as I said in the title, I love it! You give feedback after each workout. It can be as simple as a thumbs up or a thumbs down. When I chose the thumbs down icon and reported that the workout was hard for me because I become nauseous doing mat workouts, a coach got right back to me and asked if I had balance issues. When I responded that I did, he quickly got back to me again to ask about individualizing exercises. Wow! I never expected that! So I’m glad I found TRE and am using it everyday.

Great app!

I have enjoyed using TheRunExperience over the past month. As a past occasional runner, TheRunExperience has given me an easy to follow plan to improve my running. The 30 day challenge has been a good kick start for me. I like how the program goes beyond a simple running plan by including plenty of strength, mobility, running form, and injury prevention advice.

The one issue I’ve encountered with TheRunExperience is when I do the interval runs, sometimes it skips to the next interval before it should. Not sure if that’s a connection problem on my end or not.

Best app!

I was hesitating to buy TheRunExperience because I tried paying for other apps like this and got disappointed but TRE nailed it! The coaches are helpful, anything you need to be a strong runner is in TheRunExperience, if you have problems just email the coaches and they will respond quickly! Before I can't do more than 5 minutes of jog but now I'm running 2 miles straight without stopping in just 2.5 weeks. Just do everything in TheRunExperience and don't skip and you will get the results you wanted. Again thank you coaches and TRE for the best app!

Awesome marathon all rounder program

Used TRE app last year for marathon training. Learnt so much about form, strength training, different types of speed workouts. The regular program is tough, but there are always easier alternative moves that you can follow, or tougher/more advanced workouts. This is an all round program; not just about running, which is what I needed to move up my level. Redoing the program, this time using the strength workouts of TRE vs using Camp Gladiator for that like I did last season. For the annual price, this is amazing!!!

A real experience !

I wanted to leave my feedbacks and experiences about TRE as I recently had a chance to be a part of community. I did my first (happened to be unfortunately virtual) marathon in Pittsburgh, May 2020 and had an intense training since beginning of year. I learned lots of things from that training.
TRE, having the focused programs, skills&drills and other important topics as injury prevention and nutrition, it is no surprise I boosted up my speed and confidence.
I don’t see this platform as a virtual platform but real! I am very happy with my decision.

Great coaching!

I had been looking for a running coach because I have been trying to get into running on and off for years, but knew I needed assistance because I am not a natural runner. I decide to try the Beginner Running Program, and I think it’s the best money I’ve spent on fitness in a long time! The videos are great for instruction, the program itself is very well-rounded, and the community is fun and supportive. After I’m done with the beginner program, there are a ton of other programs that I can work with to continue to improve. Thanks so much!

Worth the quality of programs you get!

GREAT workouts and programs. My only issue is (and I hate complaining about it!!!) is the user experience like others mentioned. TheRunExperience is super glitchy and often times I just become frustrated and close it down after reading what the workout is. It will skip, pause, or shut down on its own and it’s super disruptive to the flow of your workout. In the end it’s totally worth purchasing for the workouts whether you can play them in real-time or just follow them by reading ahead.

Great for Experienced Runners

It’s hard to find apps what are beneficial to experienced runners who want to improve. This is the first I’ve found and I love it so far. All workouts can help someone who is new or someone who’s been running for a while and just wants to improve and stay safe. Great job!! I do with it was a little less expensive but I suppose you get what you pay for. I’d also like to use my watch rather than carry my phone. Please add that soon!!

5 star workout program 3 star app experience

The workout programs are great and has given me new tools for improved strength and mobility. TheRunExperience however has some nuisance glitches. When using TheRunExperience during a workout run it closes down and asks me to reopen TheRunExperience to continue the workout. Strength workouts do not have these glitches. I find this disruptive to the flow of the run workout. I have found it more effective to view a preview of the run workout and to program the workout into my watch. It would be nice if you could synch your watch with TheRunExperience .

Can’t unlock program after paying for it!

Paid for subscription- when I try to start a program it tells me to subscribe- can’t find any contact info through app to complain- missed this morning’s run trying to figure out how to unlock it after I have paid for a month’s subscription- very unhappy!!!

Glitch in app - was able to log in and use later in day - have only used twice -so far it seems to have excellent training instruction!

Incredible app, and I love the programs!

It's really amazing how full-featured TheRunExperience is - with programs that adapt around me, a supportive community, and even a built-in GPS tracker! Really smooth experience, much better than other apps I've seen that are basically just video players. I finished the beginner running program and managed to get a couple minutes shaved off my pace from the initial baseline 💪

Great training app

TRE has given me new motivation with all the races being cancelled and training programs being scrapped I needed a new training program I could do alone but still be held accountable. The only thing that I would like more would be more guided audio runs with the programs especially with the interval sessions. I know there are audio follow alongs but not that are specific for the training program even just a que for start stop of time would be great.

I’ve been a member of the web version for many years before committing to TheRunExperience version. With all its updates and improvements, I’m glad to dive in here.
