Why I rate you low, is due to your system of sending me emails to subscribe, when I already HAVE a valid subscription running. That confused my 84-year-old brain. I wondered why you had triggered your emails. I found, when I went to your website, that you sell a number of products and I could not locate what more McAfee could provide me. I believe I left a message there.

I received more emails. Today I used Safari to access the site. There I was to put in email and password. From memory I tried various ones from my past years. The last ones worked. Yes, I have a subscription. Yes I can add a second device. (Kinda odd it was not listed, for I had its icon on my device, already. I wonder if my internet company had caused me to turn off the VPN … didn’t I get locked out from a few links I’d tried to access?)

Anyway, now you see problems we BOTH are creating. Yours: too many emails, and insufficient cross-referencing of email addresses, payment names, or live contracts ignored, etc. Mine: not remembering what email address I used, not remembering just what trade-mark name I purchased when your emails “switch/bait” or morph, and being too old to recall months after purchase that probably turned off the VPN and was not prompted by software to consider turning it back on.

First I installed McAfee safe connect on my PC $7.99 a month for up to 5 devices. Downloaded the McAfee safe connect on my IPhone and used my user name and password I created for my PC everything worked great. The iPhone app updated and after the update SafeVPNConnect wouldn't except my user name and password and was charged another $7.99 for the month on my iPhone. I now have it on my PC and Phone and I'm being charged 7.99 a month for each one. I'll be removing it from my phone after this review.

After contacting McAfee customer service we got to the bottom of the problem and all is good so I changed my rating from 1 star to 5 star as I never had a problem with the product per se as it's easy to use and works as advertised.

I just spent 2 hours and 50 minutes of my life dealing with mediocrity and ineptitude. I am being very nice when I only use those two words.
The customer service for account management is so bad that you feel like you’re in an episode of Punkd. It’s so frustrating that McAfee may actually kill me with a heart attack.
You are sent to India where their employees are very kind and try to help but have less knowledge of the product than the consumer. It’s not their fault but the fault of the CEO CFO COO at McAfee Headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.
They outsource to save money not realizing that we would pay a higher price for, at minimum, decent customer support.
It is absolutely absurd that purchasing a subscription could be so difficult. It is unacceptable and i will never do business with this company again. I advise you to save yourself from losing years of your life by avoiding this pathetically managed organization.

Is it normal that I have to Start SafeVPNConnect every time I lay phone down, this occurs all day. Safe Connect is off, constantly. What about the red shield VPN they cannot be used together but what is ll all this about. It’s crazy. Let’s get this fixed. Very difficult to get thru on phone. Safe connect has failed again for the last few days I have to manually reinstall it. If this persists I am cancelling auto renew.

This has been very frustrating. The email I use and set up with businesses I have noticed is being forwarded to my iCloud email. The businesses I have noticed without my permission or request change my settings to the iCloud email. At first I couldn’t figure out what was happening, I was even told by one business that my correct email was not on their system. I even contacted Apple support. Plus I was notified when an upgrade was done and that took time to figure out how to fix. Great time of year to feel unsafe. Then, only 250mgs are used for an entire month, you have to upgrade.
I paid for an entire year last May, now all these changes have been implemented which is different than what I paid for. If I end early, I doubt they would refund me for the 1/2 year I didn’t use.??

If you are a creative person you know your genius most often arrives at ungodly hours in the morning, when all is quiet and still. I’m a writer and narrator and my “bewitching hour” most often exist between midnight and 3:00am.

That time frame runs counter to conventional customer service departments, however recently I switched my services from another national provider to McAfee and was amazed at the availability and quality of excellent, concerned, professional service.

In the New Digital World it’s very smart business to position your services to accommodate your upscale clientele. McAfee does this Well and Consistently. Bravo!

I have trusted the quality of McAfee products for many many years. Sadly, this VPN software is SO SLOW it causes major timing out problems in trying to connect and stay connected. At first I thought it was the Wi-Fi networks that I routinely use in numerous locations that were causing the problems. In the testing I have done, the pattern is very clear.

REGARDLESS of where I am, I must turn off this program to be able to connect and run ANY application I have. I can even sit directly in front of my high speed modem at home and get timed out. This occurs in my home with my private high speed network, in any other location, and in other cities when I travel.

THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

This performance exposes me to great security risks. When I TURN OFF McAfee Safe Connect, I can always IMMEDIATELY process again at high speeds.

I had hoped that when Intel purchased McAfee that the products would rise to even higher standards. It has been long enough now, and there is no improvement.

I have been in the computer field for over 20 years, and the last computer services company I ran had 2000 employees and a $200 million annual budget. I would never have allowed any of my development teams to release a product of this poor a quality.

Everyone should be verifying their VPN is actually working with an outside source. Mine only works some of the time. Although my IPhone will show the VPN is on at the top of the phone and in settings, it is not always working. When my VPN is working, my prime video will always tell me to turn off my VPN in order to stream a movie. Unfortunately, many times my phone will show my VPN is on but my prime video shows it is not on.

Even after Mcafee had me install a second app “safe connect ,” it still only works part of the time. When I turn on the safe connect app on , it turns off my original Mcafee app which means I never have my safe web on.

I just recently updated to the current version of SafeVPNConnect. I have been a victim of a cyber crime and to which the majority of my apps and built in programs are compromised. Even though I have contacted other governmental authorities and agencies on the matter, with this recent update it has been problematic but ensures me that someone whom had access to my I.S.P., IMEI, Sim Card, Cloning or any other possibilities for intrusion has caused a serious security breach on your software application. Upon this recent update the screen has froze unable to utilize the system at its full capacity. I have removed the application from my phone and in hopes to reinstall however the malfunction still continues.

Never fails and so reliable that I will actually recommend SafeVPNConnect. I have tried others and they have failed me. Mcaffee has always had my back. The name alone speaks volumes. A trusted name in security for many years and I will always use them until they let me down. So far so good. Thanks Mcaffee for giving me peace of mind. I use it on my PC and it works fine. Please try SafeVPNConnect and if you don’t like it I will be surprised.

I find the VPN to be essentially unusable because it fakes out my apps regarding my location. The apps end up requiring me to jump through hoops to get logged end because I appear to be in a place different from where SafeVPNConnect expects me to be. Other VPNs I’ve tried do the same thing so it’s not unique with McAfee but still makes using the VPN unusable at a practical level.

I received notification that I will receive a charge through auto-renewal. Not wanting this service anymore, I went to my account to stop the auto- renewal so I would not be charged. On my account it showed that my service I have does not have auto-renewal so I assumed that I wouldn’t be charged. Well I received a charged on the first of the month. It’s very deceiving especially when I went to my account to stop it and really did not have that option. My recommendation if this happens to you, call or chat and have them stop it. I closed my account due to this deceptive practice.

VPN blocks outgoing email on iPhone and iPad with NO explanation. Only way to send mail appears to be to turn off VPN. Also blocks images contained in incoming emails. This makes tool almost useless.
McAfee reached out to me through Apple on 15 December. Today I attempted multiple times to reach them without success (their website down?)
Unfortunately, McAfee makes things difficult. I have two products: Safe Connect and Multi-Access or All Access - not sure of correct name. Also have something called LiveSafe that says my subscription has expired, although I renewed two subscriptions this month.

When I installed v2.6, the main screen would freeze and I could not swipe or access any menus or features. Contacted McAfee support and they were very helpful. They have just released v2.6.1 and after installing it I find that everything works as expected now. Thank you McAfee for being responsive and quickly resolving the problem! 5 stars for the support.

During the trial, there were minor issues such as once you press the start protection button then there would be a message stating, Oops something went wrong” but it would eventually connect after 3 tries. The worst is when you actually purchase this worthless service that is when all heck breaks loose and their true colors show. The service drops constantly, it never connects when you are in dire need of it, and there is always an error. I want a refund because I’m not even a week into paying for this terrible service. They should just go bankrupt already. It IS NOT WORTH PURCHASING. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Not only is SafeVPNConnect nonfunctional, so are the support personnel assigned to assist with any issues. They’ll transfer you until you just give up and stop bothering them. I downloaded and used SafeVPNConnect only for the vpn which no longer works. After upgrading the device I was no longer able to connect to the internet at all and then discovered it was due to this piece of crap application. The VPN was preventing any network connection so I had to turn it off.

There are plenty of other vpn offerings. Consider those instead.

I am currently overseas for a period of time and purchased this VPN service to protect my information. Since I have started using SafeVPNConnect it has given me nothing but trouble. While it works half the time on my laptop (Windows) it almost never works on my iPhone. There are two major issues with it.

The first issue is that it will continually fail to connect to the VPN servers. When it does, it will disconnect from them frequently causing you to have to manually reconnect.

The second issue is SafeVPNConnect itself. When SafeVPNConnect is opened, it will not pull up the drop down menu to select which server to connect to. This is especially frustrating if the server you have already selected won’t connect. When attempting to reach any sort of customer support, SafeVPNConnect will only bring up an error screen.

In short, I would like my money refunded so I can purchase a more reliable and robust VPN service.

Update: I deleted and canceled my service. I am sick of it disconnecting out of no where after I used to use it a year ago. I do not use any mcafee products anymore including what’s Included in tmobiles protection. I do not want to ever had tbjd garbage company again.

This is a legit VPN I have T-Mobile mcafee mobile security premium that is a great thing T-Mobile offers but this VPN is the worst ever! It always disconnects every time my phone goes off the screen never ever stays connected even after being a previous user I canceled my subscription! Loose SafeVPNConnect !!!!

I tried to sign up for a free seven-day trial and was charged for a year. The charge showing on my account history didn’t have an amount showing and had a different order number than the one in my email receipt, and I spent almost 40 minutes trying to get it cancelled and refunded in what should have been a five-minute call at most. I also was unaware that Safe Connect is only for iOS and Windows, excluding Mac OS, which totally defeats the purpose for multiple device coverage for Mac users. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a VPN service.

Using the McAfee products for several years now makes me feel secure. The products load fast and they have added more features to meet the ever growing threats to all of our devices by evil online thieves who try to steal information and identities. Thanks for helping to make our online work secure.

I’ve had Mcafee Total Security on my PC for quite a while and then recently got the VPN service, I like that on subscription covers multiple devices. The sign up and activation process was confusing. I have been using it all the time and haven’t noticed any significant slowness. I’ve noticed that it doesn’t connect automatically and you have to reconnect every time you go on line. My local search engine results have been skewed because it shows information from the server where the VPN connects, and I had to disconnect once to do a transaction because my log in wasn’t recognized. I paid for a year but don’t know if I will renew. However, it does what it says it will and anything that helps people stay safer on line has to be a good thing.

I got McAfee many years ago and has currently reactivated my account to help protect my iPad and iPhone from these dangerous hackers and sites that harbor dangerous viruses which could steal personal information. I do value McAfee for its experience in maintaining a safe environment so I don’t have to worry about my valuable personal information being hacked or used in any way.

I rely on McAfee even for my Home & Office computer. I wouldn’t use any other product for this level of security other then McAfee. Now a days you need all the best protection you can get with all the different ways that everyone’s information is being hacked into. For my peace of mind McAfee is the only way to go.

If you purchased McAfee LiveSafe on Mac, what benefits does that purchase offer, as far as, living safe while being live & protecting identities and what is the difference between the mobile app SafeWeb VPN & The McAfee Safe Connect VPN app and why isn’t it part of a McAfee yearly subscription to LiveSafe ? Why is that a separate subscription to an already existing subscriber ? Are these programs even needed in a constitutionally based country or are we under attack by cyber terrorists and our device property is expensively useless from the factory ?

I bought the 1 year Premium package thinking this will be great to keep my info secure. But what it did instead is not allow me to connect to any web sites or apps telling me there was no internet access. Finally had to delete SafeVPNConnect and miraculously my phone returned to normal. I even tried to reinstall but the same thing happened.
I sent a request for reimbursement and to let customer service know of my experience. I await their response.

After the new “sleek” UI update, it has been extremely frustrating and very slow. Before this latest update, I was unable to even tell that the VPN was activated because my data speeds were unaffected but now there is some serious data throttling going on. Would no longer recommend a paid subscription to this at the moment until it’s resolved.

I love the features SafeVPNConnect has to offer, just wish when accessing my bank information the loading process was quicker.

I bought SafeVPNConnect online on my laptop. It isn’t working on the iPhone and isn’t properly showing up in my Accounts when I log in. Then I had to spend over an hour on the phone with customer service to get it fixed. Waiting for them to get back with me. Who has time for that kind of incompetence and why should I trust their technology if they can’t do a simple sale?

My family and myself have always used mcaffee on our computers and everything we use electronically we love and trust mcaffee thank you all for your hard work in protection

This program has never worked on my I phone 7 plus, it just locks up my phone. When I tried to get the billing turned off I first contacted Apple who then said contact McAffee. Tried that spoke to 2 different people 2 different times who both said it was taken care of, I just got billed again! This time the help desk phone line hung up on me! Over all only thing that works right is the billing.
