Searching by address works, which is better than some apps, the area seems somewhat accurate, but it caps zoom to the point where it’s hard to get pins exactly where you want them on the map. Also when you search by address it does put the house in the center of the map, but does not put numbers on the houses or even drop a pin on it, so you would have to double check with a different map app that you’re measuring the right property especially in crowded neighborhoods.

The GPS is not really accurate enough on the phone to make precise map measurements from a GPS position. You can mark points on a map, but only zoom in up to a certain point so measuring smaller things (like a 1000 sq ft roof) is tricky. For larger scale measurements where the points to mark are clear I could see this being ok, and only as an approximation.

Useful then other it works without internet if becomes free it would be better

The only thing I don't like about MapAreaCalculator is the ease of measuring a section of property by acres. I select acres, then it always changes it to feet etc. I always have to fumble around to get it to acres when I think it should be pretty simple. Maybe it's just me?! Otherwise, I love MapAreaCalculator.

It was difficult for me to find the instructions at first but now agree MapAreaCalculator works well. I tried every icon except the search button which does provide the quick start guide.

Was having problems at 1st but MapAreaCalculator guy worked the bug out and it works great now. I use the ap for rough quotes on fence jobs.

If possible I can input coordinate by all types for finding the correct address.

I use MapAreaCalculator often when working with clients with larger parcels. Great tool. Easy to use.

MapAreaCalculator is very easy to used, but only not good is because used old maps.

I love to use MapAreaCalculator, I wish that I could use it on pictures I’ve taken. Also dropping pins are hard to move with accuracy with out a stylus

I needed to determine lawn area measurements, for hiring services like mowing, leaf cleanup, etc. MapAreaCalculator made it easy. It’s a lot faster and easier than two people walking around with a tape measure!

Was very curious about the dimension of some land. It worked great with my phone. I am unsure if there is a paid version or if it has more functions, like save or print. It is defiantly worth a try.

I use this to measure commercial roofs and it is always extremely close to the actual square footage. I have recommended this to a couple of other roofers

Honestly it is. I use it almost daily to measure out acreages. I LOVE that it is free. I’m not even sure if there are purchasable items within MapAreaCalculator , because MapAreaCalculator already does everything I need it to do. Thank you for existing app!

I downloaded this years ago for figuring food plots for customers. It’s simple give a good picture and is a great free alternative for basic land figures.
