WarandMagic is advertised through tapjoy. Meaning tapjoy offers you a “reward” (in game currency for a different app) if you download WarandMagic and reach a certain level. It’s a good way to game app store ratings by making it look like lots of people downloaded it. I played for three weeks to reach one million power and tapjoy didn’t give me my reward. They claim to have contacted the advertiser (war and magic) and the advertiser said I did not do that despite me providing screen shots. So one star for using such a scammy company to try and boost your numbers.

My person bias is based off of the main feature that was shown in the advert that intrested me the most, but was not included. In the advertisement, a main feature that was shown is that you got to create wood huts and roads and all that neat stuff in a forest, and the visuals were 3d. That got me intrested in the game, so I got it. Guess what I saw instead of what I've just mentioned, the same copy and paste freenium castle building thing that almost every game of it's genre had. I immediately became unintrested in the game because it didn't offer what it showed, that's honestly a very scummy marketing tactic. So I'm giving this game one star because it's bland.

I often get double billed for in app purchases. iTunes has stopped giving me refunds. Which is severely frustrating to say the least. I had to unlink PayPal so they didn’t have access to any of my major accounts. Still makes me super mad. I hate to think of all the money pointlessly taken from me. Customer support is non existent. I’ve had players threaten to kill my children. No way to block. Translation issues not only in chat but in actual gameplay. Concept of game is good and I enjoy. But not worth being robbed over. Definitely a typical pay to win gaming scenario. And you better be willing to double what you pay. A lot of bugs here and there. Again.... reaching out to support is pointless. New maiden feature is a sexist nightmare and really has no place in the game. I know a lot of people that have quit playing and I feel that I will soon as well. Especially after they e taken so much money from me in return for nothing. Ugh!

Not free to play. At all. The developer is only interested in your money with the only way to compete being to spend a fortune. At higher levels the resources required are huge and you have to buy. Trying to raid opponents means you lose troops, which means using resources, and they cost a lot. Thus you can’t collect. You have zero protection against higher level players destroying your entire army. The cost to rebuild is massive ...and requires money..,spending options will pop up instantly of course. It looks nice, is complex and updated regularly, but you must spend thousands of dollars to get anywhere near the top. And it’s simply not worth it, as the game will eventually die due to the spend to win only nature of the game. So if you are rich and have time ruling over dead realms of players who quit...enjoy.

The advertisement that was shown to me was building a castle settlement in the desert, but I immediately recognized the gameplay as belonging to an older PC game from the 'Stronghold' franchise. Just another game made where they say it's is using all these features from another game that they have nothing to do with and is nothing like that. This is getting pretty bad. First 'War of Colony' stole gameplay footage from 'Total War' then 'Blaze of Battle' stole from BOTH 'Clash of Clans' and a new PC game that's still in development called 'Northgard'.

Finally the game admin did unbind my current account without any notice or any response. I lost my all achievements.

I spent an amount of money for the monthly card. It seem to be a good choice. A few day later, the No.1 of the server destroy everything of the alliances in the server. I lost a lot of resources and army that worth the real money I spent. It is not possible to do anything, just seeing the bad guy destroy everyone. If you like something like this, play and spend your money and time with this game.

I was having a blast playing doing my own thing. The PvE turn based combat is different but basically comes down to who has more numbers and the free loot scattered around the map for free daily picks ups were fun to get every time I logged on. That was until my 3 day shield ran out and my lvl 8 base was attacked 27 times in the middle of the night by two different lvl 9 bases and I went from almost a mil of bread and wood to 7.8 k bread and 27 wood what the hell kind of game doesn’t give you a shield after being destroyed??? Like the first 3 fights yeah I lost sure but the rest of the 20 were literally him just send troops with high load carry because I had ZERO defense after he killed all my troops. Completely ridiculous

Finally, a game of this format with good battle mechanics!! Think heroes of might and magic. Besides good combat there are lots of events to keep it interesting while you grind resources. The big oversight is there is no peace shield when you get whacked. So someone will sit next to you and keep attacking until all your troops are wounded. This happened to me even when they weren’t getting any resources from me. You then have to spend a ridiculous number of resources to heal your troops, just so that person will do it again. In the end, this makes it unplayable.

All in all, if you don’t mind spending a little cash and are a patient person, the game can be a great passed time and extremely satisfying. But if you’re an adrenaline junky, and need your action fix, this likely is not the game for you. Strategy is the key. I strongly dislike that the game FORCES you to garrison troops when you are not online, resulting in significant troop loss when you are attacked by anyone at a higher city level than you, which is equivalent to losing time and money in some circumstances (e.g., buying buffs or extra resources to participate in competitions that reward rare soldiers like Dracula or Winged Horses). It’s paramount to forcing someone to be tethered to the game all day, and to react in real time to attacks, which is ludicrous and unfair. DEV team should change this. I enjoy the game and the different competitions as it keeps the game fresh, but be warned that you DO need to spend money to advance and be competitive, otherwise you are wasting your time and you will quit in frustration after being ransacked.

The game is fleshed out well enough, the graphics are beautiful still frames, and the game is what i enjoy about a mobile game being able to pop in, do my little duties, and pop out with things working in the background. I am impressed up to a point on their microtransactions being favorable towards those who don't pay as well. However, a big problem comes to the combat. First thing most new people will notice is the amount of attacks that can and WILL occur is quick succession. I would be fine with people my level risking their troops to gain a significant amount of my resources except it is never people my level. A new player is a simple, easy, and fairly lucrative investment for a higher level player (about 4 ish levels higher) to make a quick army and demolishing my defences and putting a debuff on my city making it harder to strike or come back from that loss. Second, the game FORCES heroes to defend a city. That is horrible if the intent is to accept the attacks and keep from wasting resources on healing and raising an army. If my hero is not garrisoned he should not lose any troops nor should he garrison himself without my approval. Third problem (this is just my own nit pick) numbers play everything. If your numbers are lower then you WILL lose a fight and i have yet to be proven wrong.

Like the gameplay, wish everything didn’t take forever to level up once you reach level 6 on buildings :/ thought to get enough material to level up hero skills...and where are the recruits and ability to team DRAGONS!?! Ugh!! You have Phoenix, undead, vampyres, presitesses...where are the werewolves? Dragons? Trolls? Orcs? Imps? Faeries? Allowance to have more than one hero to travel outside the city and then have one guarding the garrison just makes it more challenging to rival players...just some tips! I think this is a great game and will continue to play but HOPE you consider and make some changes to the availability!!!!

So, I had been playing and everything was going great! Met an awesome alliance, joined up and became part of the leadership, spent money on the game, and really was loving playing it. Then when I started the game, yesterday, I couldn’t connect to the chat server at all, so therefore I couldn’t do anything more than try to reconnect. Well, I then checked to make sure I had the latest update. I did. I then uninstalled and was to reinstall, and now, I can’t get the game to download, again. Idk what’s going on, but, please, let me know what I need to do.

The gameplay is good, once you get past the fact there's no tutorial for anything outside your kingdom besides fighting monsters. Mostly full of Russians, but hey, that's what auto translator is for! Don't let that dissuade you.
Some elements of this game are new and very effective, such as the way you can acquire troops. Besides training them and colonizing a city, you get troops from defeating monsters, which is pretty cool. Great game, even despite language barriers.

Very much in the vein of older model builders mixed with some cool troop choices Would love to see more ability to move to a more aligned language world but I’m making the best of it like everyone else. So game wise be mindful Troops cost resources so build heavy into wood so you can gather them quicker. Build deep into skills as well so you balance and use the eye towers ( think Sauron LOTR) and try and give the game a few weeks before you make a true call on it.

Hi 👋🏽, this game is great , beautiful and magics ! But need more good quality of graphic , add more people at each buildings to do their work and civilians . The weather is cool with rain but the time is to short , make it a bit longer between night and day and when the night comes all building should have shine of yellow lights .. look 👀 real! This game is very cool. But, I for one am female and I’d like to know how my character can #1. become female and #2. Not have to “marry or date a woman in the game”. This is not exactly right. It should not be gender restricted or specific. If there is a way to change gender please give some instructions. They would be much appreciated. Thank you.

It’s a fantasy builder with good game mechanics and a fairly original tech tree. I especially like the combat being turn based for a change. Paying will speed you up but it seems that there were some very attractive .99 cent specials that were too good to pass up to help support the game devs. You can get what you need through a grind, exploring, battle and research so the diversity is appealing too. Minimum cash input is nice to be able to play a fun game. Keep up the great !

There is a couple of things that need to be worked on like sign in to your gmail account to get your game account from your phone to your other devices like iPad so you do not have to start over again and need a help question area to understand the game more often

I don’t take reviews lightly because, I barely write them and don’t waste my time on one unless it’s worth it and I feel that this game is!! In its category of game I must say it one of the best games out there. The biggest problem is that the advertisement fri game is a farce!! I have never seen anything as good as advertised for this game. Sad but true! Besides that fun and addictive !

Very unique art style and units. What I’m most impressed with is how civil everyone is in game. Not a lot of attacking but more so team work between alliances to build up resources. I was only ever scouted once and never attacked in the past 16 days I’ve played. I find bullying and ganging up to be the biggest issue I have with these kinds of mobile games (like Lords Mobile) so this was nice to see.
