I’m just a tad bit curious about an app, ostensibly designed to allow the user to monitor their iPhone’s various sensors, & monitors, so they better understand if there are internal failures that may indicate a larger failure being around the corner, that when the testing begins winding down, & you are no longer feeling like you didn’t have very much control throughout the entire “test.” Certainly not any control as in what was going on seemed to give me the unmistakable sensation that I, my iPhone, or both, were being sized up for a shakedown. As soon as the feeling started, it disappeared only to be suddenly thrust inside what I can only describe as a living, breathing commercial of sorts. One where offers would appear from stage left, as test results were revealed from stage right, & center stage. Any deficiencies found during the test were now being used to elicit some type of response from the user—hopefully, one favorable to the oft repeated, & oft flashed message asking if “you want to find a repair facility.” I’m sorry that this sounds a bit, paranoid. I thought, & felt the same thing myself…at first. Call it intuitive reasoning, or anything from your third eye, to your dear departed great aunt Helen helping you from the great beyond—at 65, I now listen a bit more carefully to these, & other similar types of “gut feelings,” especially in situations where you have little to no information to draw upon to formulate any kind of a working hypothesis to help explain all of the little physiological changes that tend to occur at these, & other strange, or out of the ordinary scenarios where you sometimes have to simply take a deep breath, & ride the bastard out. It’s probably benign, & could be a ver useful tool. If you cancel a certain test, (because say, grabbing a charger, a wireless charger, headphones, & a ndf? to scan with your camera are simply not convenient—you will get dinged for those as if you actually failed each of those tests. Now I know why the repeated questions asking me if I wanted to find a repair facility were so….intense! Like I said, it’s probably innocent, & devoid of even an impure thought…all I know for certain is that as soon as I realized it was over, & I was free to go do whatever, my only immediate thoughts were that I needed to wash my hands for a very long time, but not until I removed PhoneDiagnostics from my phone.

There is no VoiceOver support in PhoneDiagnostics at all. Everything is displayed in a "textfield", but there is no VoiceOver accessible content.
The developer seems to have gone out of his way to make sure blind iPhone users can't use PhoneDiagnostics.
Very unfortunate.

I wanted to test the touchscreen, and it puts an ad over the part of the screen I wanted to test.

On first launch PhoneDiagnostics immediately bumps your volume up to 50% and starts playing music. Trash

I needed it to test multi touch issues on my iPad Pro and PhoneDiagnostics is really glitchy. It fails the test and automatic jumps to main screen every time I try it. The ads block the area I need to test. The test page won’t stay up long enough to actually do any meaningful diagnostics.

Been trying to find a away times ask a question about PhoneDiagnostics and my device but there’s literally ZERO place to do so

All PhoneDiagnostics does is tell you if a certain function such as volume, sleep, battery, etc is working. I was hoping it would be more informative about the battery such as the life expectancy, what shape is it in, etc

Ad at the bottom covers the headset button. The multi-tap showed failed even though it worked to open the magnifying glass. 3d touch did nothing.

1st off, the 900 number to test phone calling function is not working so your phone will fail this test. I’m not sure what’s going on here, but I suspect it is hard programmed to call a number no longer in service.

2nd. PhoneDiagnostics tests and fails features that are not present. I have an iPhone 8+ and it has no headphone port. PhoneDiagnostics attempts to test for plugged in headphones (which is impossible) and it then fails the headphone test and adjust volume test. It then recommends (incorrectly) that you find a repair shop to have your phone fixed.

Two things: 1) it should detect which phone is being tested and modify the test suite to match the features of the detected phone. 2) it should test the bluetooth headphone features with the new iPhones since they do not have a headphone port. If it were not for this (and ither) fatal flaws, I would give this product 5 stars.

Additionally, the developer website is basically useless. It has no way to request features or report bugs and does not detect the language setting of your phone so you are left trying to decipher what I assume is Vietnamese to try and find the english setting... clue, it is under the 3 bar menu in the upper right - but even then it provides no further help.

I think nfc / antenna tester should be added

Super awesome app! I work on devices and have used a few other programs this was very quick and effective! Great job.

After getting my screen fixed my flash didn’t work. Because of this, I couldn’t scan items for a job I have with my phone. After downloading your app you made my flash activate immediately post the screen being fixed. Thanks for locking it into gear through your full phone system test! Hope it stays fixed and I don’t run into more black screen camera problems or flash problems while working my app job. Cheers!

I’ve been using PhoneDiagnostics for about a month now after TestM stopped working. Works great.

Great to test phone without having to do everything individually. Makes process way faster!!

I often use it to test phones that I have recently bought or fixed great tool to use 10/10 love PhoneDiagnostics
