What good is a spam message blocker if ......

it still sends it through to both my IWatch and IPAD? Message blocking is the prime reason I am trying to use this and it doesn’t really seem to block anything. Sure, it moves it off to junk on my phone but I still get it every where else.

Thank you to the developer for responding. I didn’t realize this would work on iPad. I’ll have to think about trying your suggestions for the watch.

Unable to modify/delete one particular WideProtect line

When my phone was blocking calls from my wife, I tried trial&error method to identify which of the several WideProtect line items was not recognized my contact and was blocking my important contact - my wife. Finally, after several hours of tech support by Apple & Xfinity, I changed the SIM card. But even that didn’t help. At that time, the only choice was to scratch my brain and find the solution. Thus, I could identify exactly which of the several line items of WideProtect was causing the problem. But, thereafter, I couldn’t delete that particular line (WideProtect-1).

Unique Outstanding Design App!

I would really like to take a moment to talk about this Unique App. The Developer has put a great deal of Time hard work and a little love into WideProtectSpamCallBlocker! The software looks simple for you myself and our family, but trust me it’s not! The coding of this software takes a great deal of time like I said before to protect you myself and our family from people who invented the words Scam Fraud and Telemarketing Robo calls! They want our money, and our Identity the Developer has put WideProtectSpamCallBlocker out here for a protection system way to stop those calls! The Scam people change their number as fast as the Developer stops them !! But I believe the Developer is on top of them by the many updates that are being made and the fact WideProtectSpamCallBlocker works! I truly thank the Developer and Tip my Hat to Him. I hope if you read this you will download WideProtectSpamCallBlocker and give it a try! I don’t believe you will be sorry! ( really ) well time for this ole Body to move on “ so they say “ but one more time Thanks Mr. Developer for a great outstanding unique app and caring about all of us! You truly are a unique person! Thanks

Had for years, blocks all my fake cloned inbound calls

Well worth a few dollars, has been blocking my suspicious calls with same first 6-digits for years. An add-on is required for SMS blocking, I don’t have too big an issue with SMS spam but will buy it if I do.

For those saying it doesn’t work anymore, make sure you enable the different versions in your phone settings under call blocking. Apple is making you explicitly allow 3Party apps like this for them to work.

Wish I’d known about this app sooner

I used to get 10 or more spam calls per day. Sometimes 30. I started using WideProtectSpamCallBlocker to block 10k numbers at a time, made an impact but didn’t solve the problem completely. I’m now blocking entire area codes, 10mil at a time. Including my own city. Spam calls are down to 2 a day.

Only problem - I’ve exceed the capacity of WideProtectSpamCallBlocker so now I’m cycling area codes. That’s a pain because it takes an age to update all 25 lists. If you could double the limit I think I could finally end the span calls.

Simple and Effective

WideProtectSpamCallBlocker paid for itself in terms of peace of mind on the first day I installed it. Thank you for creating this!

I was getting calls every single hour during the day, and I accidentally called one of the spammers when trying to copy the phone number and overnight they began calling every 15 minutes... until I I found this!

Since installing this I’ve only had one call that slipped through the filters that I created, and that was quickly addressed by just expanding my criteria to have one more wild card digit.

Only app to block SMS spam effectively.

my phone number has been attacked by spam signups which has resulted in receiving over 2000 messages as if emails are being forwarded to my number my SMS. i tried other apps in attempt to combat the spam but none of them would filter the messages. this is the ONLY app (that i found) that lets you create your own filters with SMS by text which was the only way to combat these spammers.
thank you so much to the developers, your app has seriously made it so i didn’t have to change my phone number. thank you.

It saved me!

Get WideProtectSpamCallBlocker if you are getting constant calls from the same exchange. My phone rang constantly one after another with scam calls. So much so I had to just turn off my phone. My phone carrier I would have to change my number. WideProtectSpamCallBlocker worked instantly once I set it up correctly. Do yourself a favor and watch the developers video in the help section. It is so simple to set up once you follow his instructions in the video. Yes it works 100% but you have to follow the instructions to the t.

Great customer service response but never worked

Never worked on my iPhone XS. Got very timely replies to my emails, but program never appeared in the Phone setup. Completely cleared phone and reinstalled using iTunes, and never worked. Great response but $3.00 flushed.

UPDATE: After having the developer work with me, WideProtectSpamCallBlocker is working perfectly. Problem was with a database for another blocker that became corrupted, and thanks to Apple, it could not be cleaned up or removed and it took a complete system reset to fix that and then WideProtect installed correctly. My problem, not the developer’s.

Absolutely Essential

This is the only app review I’ll probably ever take the time to write, but I just had to give major props to WideProtect. I was getting multiple spam calls a day, always spoofing a number similar to my own, and it was driving me absolutely insane. Since setting up WideProtect, this has been instantly reduced to maybe one spam call making it through every couple of weeks (which iOS is able to identify as a scam since it’s not spoofing). I’m pretty sure this simple, yet master fully implemented app has actually lowered my blood pressure. Thanks for creating this fantastic call blocker.

Happy Crossworder said it the best!!

I can never top all that Happy Crossworder said, but I’ll give it a try... YOU NEED WIDE PROTECT!!! Why? If you get calls from sales people who are not selling anything but they are fishing... for you & your information to do who knows what; if you get several calls per day from Robocalls or just plain rude people telling you they won’t stop calling & you’re on the Do Not Call list? YOU NEED WIDE PROTECT!! For the simple fact these so called calls won’t go away, it’s absolutely worth the time it took you to find WideProtectSpamCallBlocker, now get it!! You will never regret it!! Best thing since sliced bread!!! Go for it!! Get it now!!!

It Works!

I’m on an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I was getting daily spam calls and robo calls. And even spam porn email text messages. I tried so many spam blockers. Even the really popular ones. They don’t work or cover both calls and email texts. Thought I would give WideProtectSpamCallBlocker a try. It works! For text messages you just type in or copy and paste the messages into WideProtectSpamCallBlocker and it stops any texts with similar words from coming through. And now I have gone days without getting one spam call. I will block entire area codes where most were coming from. If I don’t know anyone or have family in that area no need to allow calls from that area. So they get blocked. You have to follow directions in WideProtectSpamCallBlocker . Allow permissions for WideProtectSpamCallBlocker in your phone settings. And make sure you turn on permission for your contacts in WideProtectSpamCallBlocker so none get blocked. I really don’t understand how it’s not working for some users if they follow directions and give all the permissions within the phone settings. It a long list of permissions but every one needs to be turned on.

Blocks Area Codes

WideProtectSpamCallBlocker lets you block area codes! I was getting 5-10 scam calls a day from 1-888 numbers. No, I never answered. Yes, my phone is set to silence calls not in my contacts. But a box would still pop up telling me I had a silenced call and the call would end up in my phone’s recents. They used a different number every time and never leave a message. History has shown me that changing my phone number does not help. The new number could be worse! This wonderful app lets you block area codes!!! I blocked all numbers starting with 1-888. Now my phone is blissfully silent. :)

It actually works!!

I have tried so many spam call blockers and none of them did what I wanted; which was block entire zip codes. I was skeptical that wide protect would actually work, and it does, quite well. No more neighborhood spoof calls and no more obscure towns like wibley, Kansas calling me. Zip codes blocked!!! When they get hip to the block and call from another zip; I block it too!!! Only downside is that all those numbers add up quick when blocking entire zips, you get a max of 30,000,000, I think. Sounds like a lot, but if you use it as I have, that will cap off pretty quickly. Otherwise, I would give WideProtectSpamCallBlocker 6 stars if I could !!! Thank you Devs of wide protect !!!!

Something's broken

UPDATE: GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Giving 5 stars, again. The developer contacted me and fixed the issue within one day. I love WideProtectSpamCallBlocker, again! Went from receiving at least 30 spam calls per day to maybe 1! It worked great for awhile. Now, when I try to update my blocked list it just keeps "working" for about 10 minutes with a screen message stating "Block list is being updated...1 of 25...". I turned off all lists except 1 and 2, but it keeps saying I'm updating 25. Then, it stops and I get a pop-up starting "Error Please give WideProtect permission to block numbers through iPhone Settings: Phone: Call Blocking & Identification.". I allowed that access since I purchased WideProtectSpamCallBlocker! So, it's no longer working and needs to be fixed.

Tried them all!

I gave 3 stars but I’m not sure about that rating. I have used WideProtectSpamCallBlocker for over a year, it has worked well to block spoofed numbers. But over the last few months, I’ve been getting over 40 calls per day. So I tried deleting and updating WideProtectSpamCallBlocker . Still got 40+ calls per day. Tried deleting again and each time I deleted, I got only 20+ calls per day. When I installed again, it doubled. So, I’m confused about why, when I install it, I get twice as many calls. Also, I starting getting calls from numbers that were blocked, while WideProtectSpamCallBlocker was installed. It seems as if the auto dialers are aware when I have WideProtectSpamCallBlocker installed and then proceed to increase the attempts from spoofed ( nationwide NPA/NXXs) numbers. Even after I blocked 11 million numbers based on multiple NPA/NXXs.

Thank you, total lifesaver

I never rate apps, but this one deserves it. I was getting several spoofed calls a day from area codes that are in the state my phone number is from despite using other apps, like ATT’s CallProtect, which only sort of slowed down the deluge. WideProtectSpamCallBlocker stopped them - I was able to look up the area codes from that state and selectively block almost every number not in my contact list, while leaving the phone numbers from everywhere else in the US alone. I needed this feature because I do get a lot of legitimate calls from area codes in other parts of the US, e.g., the state I live in now, and blocking everyone not in my contact list isn’t feasible. This probably isn’t the solution for people who get a lot of legitimate calls from their own and nearby area codes, unfortunately, but it’s made a huge difference to me. Thank you!

Actually works. Robot protection.

The robocalls were out of control. Two, three times a day the robots would call. Did I want to redeem my reward points? No. Did I want a better auto insurance rate? Go away! Could I give them my social security number to prove I had paid off non-existent IRS debts? Argh!

I had to reclaim my phone. I considered changing phone numbers. That would show them! But these are robots. They are inherently smarter. Capable of placing unlimited calls from any imaginable callback number.

At first I tried blocking them all. But the math was against me. With 10,000 phone numbers with my same prefix, what could I do??

I turned to the web, where I found fellow humans with the same problem. Reading their reviews of WideProtectSpamCallBlocker I was convinced that this was truly a defense against the robocalls. It occurred to me that WideProtectSpamCallBlocker could be a plot deployed by the robots to get me only further ensnared in their trap. But the reviews seemed genuine, laced with nihilistic humor only humans would understand.

But WideProtectSpamCallBlocker seemed too good to be true. $3 for a lifetime protection from robocalls? I figured it was worth the risk.

Now, two weeks into my purchase and I couldn’t be happier. The calls are as if they never happen. I track my calls in the att call protect app, so I can see that the robots are trying. But WideProtectSpamCallBlocker does its job. The calls are screened without my being aware of them at all.

We are safe, in part, from the robots. Thank you developers.

Effective app up until the recent update v.4.4.1

WideProtectSpamCallBlocker is simple, yet very good at blocking robo calls. I have been using it for a couple of months. It definitely worked for me for long time up until the recent update v.4.4.1, where WideProtectSpamCallBlocker just fail apart. One of the prefix extension (WideProtect -1) can never be enabled, it just gives you an endless spinning wheel that never goes away. Tried deleting WideProtectSpamCallBlocker and reinstalling it, nothing seems to fix. Prefix extension still shows that spinning wheel. Worst thing about it is, while that prefix extension is still trying to enable itself, WideProtectSpamCallBlocker won’t let you add any numbers to block even if you enabled all the other 24 extensions; instead, it gives you an error message telling you to wait until that one prefix extension is enabled. It’s a shame that nothing seems to get it to work; it was actually good when it works.

Update:

Worked with the developer on troubleshooting the issue with my app. Happy to say WideProtectSpamCallBlocker is now in perfect working condition. Thanks Valerii for your support.

It’s nice to have access to quality products!

I recently purchased WideProtectSpamCallBlocker based on a post I saw in a forum somewhere. I am a very skeptical person by nature. I read the reviews for your product and was surprised to see how many positive reviews and how well the customer service seemed. I purchased WideProtectSpamCallBlocker a week or so ago and I haven’t received any telemarketer calls! I want to say thank you because WideProtectSpamCallBlocker has given me a piece of mind that was severely lacking last week! I definitely recommend this to anyone in need.

2) classic one - in the application, tap on "+" button, choose Country and check if phone number length is correct, then type several digits of phone number to block.

- Blocked calls may be forwarded to voicemail, as it works on mobile operator side (contact your mobile operator for details).
