The chefs don’t always have the right items coordinating with DineOnCampus. For people with allergies, this is very bad.

Also no dark mode support. DineOnCampus is like a sun – all white on a dark-mode enable phone.

The loading times are actually horrible. Up to 30 seconds for a page of literal text. It’s probably the size of an email to download it. It should load in 1 second, one would think.

On the plus side, it’s nice having the information for dining options right on my phone. I’m quite happy about that. But these negatives make the experience a lot worse than it could otherwise be.

DineOnCampus works great, it displays campus dining facilities along with their hours. It also includes a few other nice features, however this is completely overshadowed by the complete buggy mess that DineOnCampus really is. Nine times out of ten DineOnCampus will not launch. After opening it will sit on the loading screen for 30-40 seconds, and then crash. Even once in DineOnCampus , there is still a big chance it will end up crashing shortly after. Having to continually open an app 6-7 times just to see dining hours is really not worth it in my opinion.

I was having troubles setting up reservations because of a bug, so I decided to contact their app support. They were incredibly helpful, and worked days to fix a bug that was found in the system. They replied fast, and were able to find and fix the problem in a few days. Definitely super helpful!!!

I’m at WPI (Worcester Polytechnic Institute) and my date picker for reservations is really slow. When I first click on a date, the first feedback (where the selected date turns dark red) takes 4-5 seconds and the actually times available show up 4-5 seconds after that.

Also at seemingly random times DineOnCampus just shows the logo for a while before crashing. Deleting and reinstalling DineOnCampus helps but it keeps coming back after a while.

Old review: Used to work. After the latest update, for Lamar University, DineOnCampus freezes and hangs. When I press the home button twice, from that view it appears to load. When I go back to it after that, DineOnCampus crashes.

DineOnCampus keeps crashing so and won’t even load in past the start screen, It started when I updated it today. The only thing that’s worked to fix this crashing problem is reinstalling DineOnCampus but I’ve had to do that 3 times today and it isn’t even lunch time yet. DineOnCampus itself works quite nicely but none of that matters if I can’t get into DineOnCampus in the first place.

I at first gave four stars bc it was missing just one thing. They actually fixed it quickly, so they get the fifth star back. Now if only I could get Dobie to provide you guys with the info for the oranges, toast and other daily items this would be app heaven.

Good concept, terrible execution. Takes forever to load a page of text which shouldn’t take more than half a second, and often crashes in the process. Needs major improvements.

I mean it’s able to show me the menus of the restaurants on campus, but DineOnCampus takes forever to start up and load a menu.

The only reason it’s not 1 star is because it technically works, but DineOnCampus will crash, be super slow, and freeze on multiple occasions.

By the time I check to see what is for lunch, it’ll be dinner time.

I updated my iPhone 7 Plus to iOS 14.0.1 and all functionality in DineOnCampus went to hell. One email to support and within a couple hours their team resolved the issue. On a Sunday, no less!

I think it would be really helpful for everyone if we could go in and rate food items. So the people in charge of food choices knows what students like and dislike! Otherwise DineOnCampus does its job!

DineOnCampus continues to give friends and myself trouble on a daily basis. Not only does it never update, half the time it crashes and doesn’t load a single thing. Sometimes I’m forced to restart my phone just to get it to display anything. I’m convinced a 12 year old could make a better app.

Sometimes DineOnCampus will crash and the only way to fix it is to uninstall and reinstall DineOnCampus . I have iPhone 8

Quite slow and most of the features are poorly developed. For instance, when I check the menu at 6pm you would think DineOnCampus would be able to tell that I don’t want the breakfast menu for that day and would intelligently give me the dinner menu, but nope, 8pm? Here’s the breakfast menu!!!

DineOnCampus more or less serves my needs, when it works. But it’s just broken all of a sudden and crashes every time I open it after it loads for 10 seconds.

Typically when I check DineOnCampus the items listed are at that particular place. However, the other dining places aren’t accurate with the opening/closing hours. It’s very nerve wracking and really needs to be fixed

DineOnCampus comes out with updates fairly often. Which is normally fine, but DineOnCampus also refuses to let you look at DineOnCampus without updating it.

How is an app this slow. You’re loading 2kb of data and taking five seconds per location to do it. Two minutes of loading every time I want to check menus. Whoever wrote the backend of DineOnCampus should be fired

Hi I love DineOnCampus so far but I believe that it would help if there was a button next to the “add to HealthKit” that says “my fitness pal” because it would be much more effective and efficient since it is a very popular app.

It loads when I open it then just closes after 10 seconds. I tried redownloading it but that did not fix it. It used to work a few days ago too.

Everything on DineOnCampus works great for CSU Stanislaus except the fact that I am unable to buy a meal plan directly from DineOnCampus .

what happened to the menu items? every time I click on DineOnCampus I only get breakfast but nothing even shows for breakfast. I can't see lunch or dinner or any menus for that fact. it just says breakfast and it's empty.

It’s perfect for people who eat solely at campus restaurants and very user friendly

I count on DineOnCampus to monitor my calories and nutritients for the day at my dining hall on campus. It keeps crashing and doesn’t show the dinners. Besides that is a good app. PLEASE FIX ERROR

I don’t know why, but DineOnCampus took my school of the list, no warning. I relied on DineOnCampus everyday, now it’s just pointless.

I would use DineOnCampus because my school, Wentworth Institute of Technology, promotes it. But the issue is you don’t have us in the system. I hate giving a single star but I don’t understand when advertised on campus, but not on DineOnCampus . Thanks
