Why is this a free app?

I don’t understand why this is a free app. Everything is for subscribers. People can only import photos, and that’s not fair to people who don’t have money. The other problem is the fact that the touch is very sensitive. It gets frustrating when someone is coloring and has to go back to fix the line drawn straight across the picture from where the touch was too sensitive. Some might argue that AdultColoringBook is amazing because the subscription is low, there are many cool features and it’s relaxing. However, the truth is that AdultColoringBook is really frustrating when it comes to sensitivity, the audacity of asking for money, but refusing to answer to problems, update AdultColoringBook or fix bugs, and the fact that AdultColoringBook itself is not very good. There are ways that the developer could fix these issues, such as listening and answering people’s questions or problems in a timely manner, update AdultColoringBook more often, change the sensitivity, and make more of the art work free to color. By advertising that AdultColoringBook is free, is really false advertising since almost nothing about AdultColoringBook is free. I hope the developer reads this, and responds in a timely manner, because surely they’re not too busy with OTHER things instead of being concerned about the customers. The customer is ALWAYS right. Not the other way around. It is unfortunately evident that this company does not care about their customers, so don’t bother getting AdultColoringBook.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Worst customer service

Updated review: I would not get AdultColoringBook. They have not added anything in almost a year now. They never respond to problems but they want your money for a subscription. There are supposed to be new pictures everyday and nothing has changed since I signed up for the membership again. I gave multiple chances. Gave my money again which I don’t really have cause I am disable and coloring is what helps me. So this is it once my membership is up download all pictures and Uninstalling. AdultColoringBook does not deserve to even be on my iPad.

I got a response but nothing has been fixed. Which is really sad cause I really like AdultColoringBook. I guess I just need to give up on AdultColoringBook. So sad
I emailed the customer service multiple times regarding there app not working right. They will not respond and I was paying for subscription. This is a for sure not worth it at all. I did like it but the developer does not care about there customers. So canceled subscription and still have not heard anything.I am so disappointed in your customer service. You took my money and will not respond to not being able to save my picture that I import and finish later. So terrible customer service. I have gave you so many chances so I canceled my membership and still trying to get a fix to your app. I am going to warn others.

Cannot Use the App

You have to pay to be able to use AdultColoringBook. You cannot even get into AdultColoringBook without dishing out some money. I did see a few responses from the developers or whoever it was saying you can still use AdultColoringBook because there is a “free” section. If there is a free section, you cannot get to it because there is no way to get past the subscription section without buying one. If you want a good coloring app that actually is all free search in AdultColoringBook Store for “Adults”. It is a good one and all FREE!!

Costs money to play

At first I was extremely excited to play this game because I searched free coloring games and this was one of the ones that popped up. After downloading the game and looking through almost every category I only found one coloring page that was free. As someone who just wants to enjoy life and not have to pay for every little thing I feel that there should at least be a category of free pages to color for people who are unable to pay ( like myself ) or simply don’t believe in paying for something that theoretically won’t matter in 20 years from now. I’m sure it’s a great app if your willing to pay but if you can’t or won’t do not download this game you more than likely will only be disappointed that you can’t enjoy this game like everyone else.

Not a free app

There is nothing wrong with charging for apps and everything right about it if it’s done up front or the subscription model is fairly laid out from the beginning. AdultColoringBook uses deceptive practices to get downloads before revealing that the only way to use AdultColoringBook as intended is to pay a subscription that comes to well over a hundred dollars per year if done at weekly level*

Whatever good AdultColoringBook has the potential for has been overshadowed by the unethical business practices that I won’t take part in.

*other price ranges appear as offerings with the lowest being 57 cents a week. Which sounds cheap, but winds up around 30 bucks for a year. Which doesn’t sound bad initially, but is really steep for a coloring app others have said in reviews isn’t updated as promised.

DONT GET THIS

So I got an iPad for Christmas and I was like oh I should get a coloring book on my iPad and I looked at this and I thought it was perfect. And AdultColoringBook should probably win an award for the worst coloring book on the Apple Store. like I don’t even understand why it’s free because of how limited AdultColoringBook is for people who don’t subscribe and it’s $50 per month and not everyone can afford it and if you don’t have the subscription, you only get like five coloring templates and two tools and like seven colors to use on the templates and it’s just really stupid! And the art isn’t even that good. Hope this helps!

Very disappointed

I paid for the subscription because it was the only way to use AdultColoringBook at all but unfortunately, I find AdultColoringBook lacking in features as well as pictures to color. The major problem though, is the usability. There are many times I’ve had a space not color completely with say, the colored pencil and no matter how any times I go back and try to fill it in, it stays white or worse, turns the rest of the space white too. The black lines don’t always contain the color you’re trying to make them but let it bleed through to an adjacent space. I am, obviously, going to cancel the subscription but do wish the developer would refund the amount I paid.

Great app but expensive

I really like the flexibility of AdultColoringBook and would love to buy it. But the only options are outrageously expensive subscriptions that I cannot justify in any way. It’s unfortunate because it seems like a fabulous app. But I wouldn’t pay $30 one time for it, let alone $30/year. I wish I could buy it outright for a more reasonable price, or perhaps buy individual coloring pages when I wanted them.

Ehh

It might be better for tablets with pens but for phones it’s... not great. A lot of art work has tiny spots that don’t fill in so you have to zoom in to run your finger over it. A lot. Also it’s super sensitive. You want to move to a new area while zoomed in, or you’re zooming in prepare to Recolor areas because it will all be filled with the finger movements. Even with the two finger swipe and what they tell you to do.
The other tools with no pen are dodgy but I can see the fun in them.

That being said, the different tools they have and options are really awesome and the price for the subscription is also super reasonable.

It’s worth a try if you have a pen/tablet or if you’re just bored and don’t particularly care about any technical stuff about it but it’s not a big hit for me.

What’s up with app?

I subscribed so I could get access to all pictures and colors and it’s been 3 days now and I can’t access any pictures. I click on app and it’s blank and says trouble loading images right now? Is there something going on with AdultColoringBook that I need to do something to fix it. I have since cancelled my subscription until the issue is resolved. I do not want to join using my Facebook account either. Never had a problem until 3 days ago. Any help?

Meh…

Would be a wonderful app if you provided easy to find information on how tos and controls. The clear everything button is too close to the go back or restore button. For a person just beginning it’s not worth the aggravation you go through even to just making a correction or trying to keep the same color throughout the coloring process. After an hour of not being able to get a simple white to stay a simple white or info on how to do this I quit and uninstalled.

Fair, not really liking this site.

Well my first mistake was getting the year access to the site. I also use another coloring site, but wanted to try this one out. So far I’ve colored several pictures, saved them, and published to the Gallery, but NONE Of them are being saved to my account.
I’ve tried clicking on this site’s help link but it’s not in use.
Don’t waste your money.
In the gallery, most of the pictures are done by “anonymous”, so there’s no real interaction. That’s a real loss.
Most of the pictures to color are very childlike, which are great for young children, but not challenging for adults.

Tonal bar

There’s a sliding tonal bar at the top that’s supposed to make the color brighter or darker it doesn’t work. It was so frustrating to try to use the free version because you’re already limited of colors but then to not be able to adjust the tone when clearly you’re supposed to be able to diminished the use of AdultColoringBook … the total bar would’ve worked I could definitely see myself using AdultColoringBook as a free alternative. But I got to say, the free version of the Lake app is much better. This is coming from a newbie far as coloring apps go & I’ve only used these two. & I downloaded this one, after reading several rec’s online.

Cool but one problem

Okay, AdultColoringBook is great! See, I love art apps, and I’ve been on the lookout for the best coloring apps (but, not many fulfill what I NEED in a coloring app!) But with this particular one, I love the available canvases 🖼 (they’re so creative!) and it’s neat seeing other users’ work! But there’s one problem; There are only SO MANY pictures you can color! It’s LIMITED! Now, I dunno about you people who made AdultColoringBook, but ART 🎨 is like the imagination, UN-limited! Now, I know, you people have to get money 💰 SOMEHOW, but I hate that the way you guys make it by limiting canvases! To be honest, if there were more pictures of people, food, & animals, it would be MUCH better!
If AdultColoringBook was like previous apps I’ve downloaded (with a wider selection of pictures and colors) I would DEFINITELY rate AdultColoringBook 4 (and a half if I could) stars!
Please consider my suggestion for a larger selection of available canvases! I want to give you guys an idea of what people want!!!! Please respond back!!! 😘😁

No Help Or Instructions

I got this has initially I thought it would be great. First no instructions as I looked everywhere utube in AdultColoringBook ,nothing
It seems it is expected we should know.
Secondly, I paid and when I pick a color it won’t let me, and brings up the box to buy,I already DID.i keep having to restore but nothing😛😛😛
So what is up with AdultColoringBook and no help no place to find help.
Not good if the company wants this used etc

Where’s the customer service?!

I’ve been a paying subscriber to AdultColoringBook for quite a while & I recently upgraded my phone. When I logged back in, I cannot open or color any of the “new” pictures. I’ve sent 2 emails to the developer & both came back with error messages that they were rejected. Yes I made sure I had the right email address. I enjoy AdultColoringBook but will not renew again if I cannot access the new pictures.

Great Coloring App

I love AdultColoringBook. The tools and options are great and there’s plenty of content.

However, I wish I could turn off the preview of others’ work when I first open a page. It reminds me I’m not great at coloring and I don’t want someone else’s ideas influencing what I do. There’s really nothing good about that feature to me.

It also could use an eye dropper style color selection tool so I can clean up spurious strokes without having to select via trial and error.

If you’re looking for a coloring app, this is the one.

Forget Pigment, Colorfy, and all the other coloring apps, this one is the best. Super cheap, really nice variety, awesome tools, and natural-feeling UI. The ability to draw your own outlines with the pigment liner that act the same as the actual lines, as well as “erase” the outlines by coloring over them really sets AdultColoringBook apart.

I just have a few suggestions for the devs and I’ll change my review to 5 stars if some of them get addressed.
- the delete button for art that you’ve shared to the chroma gallery doesn’t work, and there’s no way to delete things from your personal gallery if you’ve clicked on the wrong picture or changed your mind.
- a specific tool to erase outlines would be nice so that if we want to color where the lines were we aren’t limited to the pigment liner
- pigment liner should go all the way down to one pixel in size
- a full purple palette and a pastel pallet would be nice, maybe a neon pallet as well
- maybe a space for a bio as people seem to be using AdultColoringBook as a social media platform of sorts
- I would love, love, LOVE a smudge brush!

Incredibly intuitive, only one TINY caveat.

AdultColoringBook is incredible. After going through multiple different coloring and drawing apps, I searched far and wide for one that was with my money. I ended up buying the annual plan, which saves you almost 125 bucks, and only cost $29. You get just as much if not more than every other app that is out there like this, and it’s even more customizable when it comes to pallets.

That being said, my only tiny caveat is that when you are looking to color and sketch, it defaults to portrait mode and rotating the screen does not allow you to color or sketch in landscape mode. Having a stand when I color and sketch out designs requires it being in landscape mode, if this were to get fixed I would gratefully give it five stars because I absolutely love AdultColoringBook and it is worth the money!

Excellent coloring app for folks who want to create art

This is not just a tap-to-color, apply-crazy-effects app, like the overwhelming majority of apps are. This is a much richer experience for the user who wants to digitally paint and blend and create. With the fantastic ability to make your own color palettes, Chroma, IMHO, is hands down one of the best.
