I love telltale games and I love the walking dead series I have purchased every season but I can never get passed this one because every time I download the episode it doesn’t work and I’ve been trying to finish this game for the past year and I still can’t. I thought it was probably my phone being that I had it for awhile or maybe I didn’t have enough storage so I would delete storage and it still wouldn’t work. So then I thought it was my phone so I got a new phone and I download the app yet again and I complete the first episode but now I have to pay another $15 to play the others when they probably won’t even work. It’s so frustrating because I want to play it and finish the game but I don’t want to keep spending money and wasting time on a game that won’t even work for me. And this is the second time I’ve left a review the first time was last year and no one ever replied to me. It ruins the whole experience of the series being that I’m gonna spend $30 on a game that isn’t even sold for that much for PlayStation. I would either like a refund or for someone to restore the purchase for the game I previously had.

The first two seasons of the series were amazing. Easily my top two favorite iOS games of all time. The graphics were great and the storyline was awesome and very intriguing. I was excited to continue things with clementine and see where life would take her and AJ. So to start this game off as some random dude was super disappointing. And don’t even get me started on the graphics and sound. HORRIBLE. I’ve also seen some issues with the in app purchases. Exactly why I didn’t even play past episode 1. It’s clear that the making of this game was rushed and no effort was put into it at all. I hope that one day the developers remake this game or start a completely new story because this right here isn’t it. You guys can do so much better :(
Update: As i stated before, I really loved the first two seasons but was immediately disappointed with the graphics of this season. However, i came back and noticed that the developers made an update after 7 years, so i decided to give it one more chance. The game still isn't as good as the first two seasons but its kept my attention. (was extremely happy to see clementine was still around). So, i took a risk & purchased 2 more episodes and they ran smoothly. However, im now on episode 4, and i cant even get past the first 10 minutes because theres a glitch. Whenever i try to pick up the chair in the locker room, Javi just stares at it and then walks away?? I cant move foward in the game until this issue is fixed.

A much more involved game with more options, however there’s lots of waiting to take control and make decisions. Unfortunately, the provided decisions don’t match up with the subsequent actions very well, the choices have no impact (if you don’t flirt with David’s wife she basically sexually assaults you), and/or often there’s no real option - all three choices appear to be the same (tell David to leave his son alone, tell David to let his son make his own choices, tell David’s son he can make his own choices).
As is often the case in badly directed film and TV, the flashbacks here aren’t easily discernible from the present, and in them you make decisions that again don’t seem to have any real impact, while the information revealed in the flashbacks would have been useful to know for decisions that the player has already made.
Finally, Telltale’s app engine is a mess. The controls are wonky (nonfunctional), the graphics cheap looking, and I love being asked to buy the combo pack every five minutes after I already have and am in the middle of playing. Once again, Telltale and the WD franchise have shown a complete disregard for their audience and have stretched the story far beyond their ability to tell it.
