I’ve had Friendednicetomeetyou for a couple months and forgot about it so I decided to get back on it, I created an icebreaker and went to another app, when I got a couple notifications a minute later I went back on Friendednicetomeetyou only to find that I need to login with my Facebook so I did and it said I do not meet the requirements for the criteria, but I am still getting new notifications from people,

I used to love Friendednicetomeetyou because it was the only one I could build my social skills on, I have a very hard time making simple conversation with people and Friendednicetomeetyou helped me get out of my comfort zone and talk to people and it really helped but now I can’t use it so I guess I will stand in silence when people try to talk to me because I don’t know how to respond like a normal human being,

If you could make it to where we don’t have to use Facebook to login I would definitely use it again and it would definitely get a five star review instead of one star

I’m 14 years old and I thought Friendednicetomeetyou would be great to use to get know people, make friends, etc. And on Friendednicetomeetyou store it says 12+ so I was glad to see that I could use (I searched up LGBT because I wanted to meet people in my community and a lot of it was 17+ and/or a dating app.) So, I tried to make an account with my Facebook, took me to a page that said something along the lines of ‘blocked because it is not available to your country, region, or age.’ I thought I was in the right country and region (U.S.A, AL) and on Friendednicetomeetyou Store it says 12+ so, I didn’t know what the issue was. That didn’t deter me though because there was other ways to sign in without using Facebook. I used my Snapchat, put in my birthday (05 birthday is later this year in 2020), and added a photo. When I clicked like a next button, it says your account has been blocked. Again I was confused because I was over 12 years old. It took me back to the log in screen and when I clicked log in with Snapchat again, it said ‘You Must Be 18 years old or older’ I don’t understand why it has said 12+ throughout Friendednicetomeetyou store for it to be for 18 year olds and older. I’m not using this to be like “Don’T doWNloAd Friendednicetomeetyou!1!1!1!” I’m not like that. I wanna know why, and if you could fix that so you don’t confuse others.

Every update they take more features away from you on Friendednicetomeetyou just to lock them behind a pay wall. The only premium feature used to be posting more often, however now any sort of filter setting has been locked behind a pay wall. You used to be able to filter guys and girls, and what kind of posts you wanted to see. You can no longer do that without paying. Friendednicetomeetyou had potential but I can see now that the developers are just getting greedy. People already drop off Friendednicetomeetyou like flies, and the devs are just making it worse. You didn’t “add” features in the new update, all you did was make them cost money. Disappointed in y’all as a whole, you were originally creating something great.

Update 4/14: Dev response has turned into “Friendednicetomeetyou just costs money now, deal with it” well I’ll tell you what, your users are dropping off exponentially faster than you can pull them in at this point. Word of mouth is everything, and at this point I’ll recommend tinder to anyone over Friendednicetomeetyou with the direction you are going. Greeding your loyal users, taking features away from us. Used to have faith in you guys, but your recent update just goes to show you are not listening to feedback, and are only in this for a money grab.

I got an ad for Friendednicetomeetyou about how you “talk before seeing pics” and I was really interested, however when I opened it that wasn’t the case at all. The ice breakers themselves are a cute and clever idea but it gives the option to add a background photo which a lot of people just post their usual selfie so you immediately see their face + personality summed in a question/answer. Most of the people on there just talk about sex even though this is listed as a “friend” app, but my true complaint I have the bigger problem overall with is that as a female user I have only gotten guys the last two hours of casual browsing. I am a lesbian, and my account is linked to my Facebook which also states I’m a woman interested in women. There’s no settings to even choose if you find men, women m, or both to talk to. So in the end I just get inboxes filled with guys trying to flirt or ask for sex. Doesn’t help without premium I can’t choose a 2nd icebreaker upon starting to better explain what I’m here for.

Friendednicetomeetyou is seriously the worst. For starters, I connected my Facebook & I was expecting it to bring me to a page where I could customize my profile on Friendednicetomeetyou , but nope it immediately pulled 6 random photos off my Facebook (some that weren’t even of me) & put them on my profile followed by an “ice breaker” asking for “song recommendations”. After that my phone seriously began to shut down because of the millions of notifications coming through to Friendednicetomeetyou because it made this post to literally every single user on Friendednicetomeetyou . So I’m struggling to figure out how to set everything up, all the while my phone is being blown up by notifications. Apparently you can’t add a photo of yourself from your camera roll (only can use Facebook or instagram) & you literally HAVE to have 6 photos. I don’t use my Facebook or instagram so I don’t even have 6 photos on myself on those socials that I could use, therefore I can’t even complete my profile. Also, i can’t delete the post that I didn’t even post in the first place. I ended up just deleting the entire thing because it’s such garbage. Like I’ve never been so infuriated with an app!

It’s 2019. Facebook is dead. Just ask the sheeple still using it, they’ll tell you it’s garbage. So why on earth would you want to force people to set up a profile based on Facebook? Is it because you’re trying to generate use of Facebook? Or is it because you need a convenient way to gather information? I downloaded Friendednicetomeetyou, saw you had to log in with Facebook (I got off of FB over 5 years ago, best decision ever, you should try it) so I came back to read the reviews. Apparently when actual user traffic is high, and you’re female, it’s like thirsty guy city. If you’re a guy, you get attractive females that are paid actors in a sense, basically using marketing tricks to keep the conversation going. Gross. There are people out there that really just want to meet other people. So why do we need in app purchases? I get you need to make money, but isn’t that literally the point of filling your app with ads? I’m not trying to buy friendships. You guys are kinda sick....

I started using Friendednicetomeetyou at a time when I was clinically depressed, I spoke to a lot of people and it helped me gain more confidence and belief in myself. I didn’t realize the good in other people because I only see the worst of people on other apps, and this was my favorite because people felt genuine, and it felt like people actually cared. People were actually positive and nice on here, and whenever someone would open up and be vulnerable, people could be there to encourage and support them. I loved the environment it created. But now with the message limit, nobody messages each other. All you see is the worst of what other people are going through, and Friendednicetomeetyou is much worse, because you couldn’t help people if you wanted to. I think that it took away the strongest point of the entire app, and makes it virtually pointless to ever go on here. I can see that if you could talk to anyone, it would be hard to talk to many people, but I think the limit should at least be raised. I think the best design might be to allow you to talk to a limit on the number of people a day. If you only allow by the number of messages, people will go somewhere else and Friendednicetomeetyou is no better than those that are just friend recommenders for snapchat. It takes away all that I think makes Friendednicetomeetyou unique and the very reason I loved it in the first place.

So if I upload a picture from my phone it doesn’t show up at all in the profile. It’ll be listed when I try to edit my photos but doesn’t show at all for anyone who looks at my profile. It only puts up pictures imported from Facebook. I went to settings and clicked into the Help & Support menu to see if this was a known problem with a fix but I didn’t see anything. Try to back out but… there’s no back button programmed into the help section. You have to close the whole app and reenter. Right below the Help & Support option is a “Report an issue” link. This doesn’t function at all. It isn’t clickable. So there’s no actual way to report an issue apparently? I guess the developers aren’t actually interested in having the best version of the their product out there.

Then when it comes to using Friendednicetomeetyou , honestly feels kind of pointless. I’m a woman so my inbox is just thirsty men. This isn’t even a dating app but you best believe almost every man on there is using it like one. Yeah you can report people for unwelcome flirtiness, but yeah that’s most of them. And you can only post responses to a prompt, and you can’t remove any parts of or edit a prompt either, so it just feels really rigid.

I was looking for an app to talk to people and hopefully make a few friends. However, it’s not all that well-managed who replies to whatever innocent thing you put out there. Friendednicetomeetyou gives you little cards where you can enter an opinion and then others who use Friendednicetomeetyou are able to reply to you in private message. Unfortunately like most social media apps there are plenty of extremely unhinged and nasty people out there. I will say that mostly people were fairly kind, but I got a few replies that were utterly disturbing. One reply I received suggested I kill myself. Another commented on how stupid I sound. I did not personally reach out to these people, Friendednicetomeetyou just has strangers reply to random thoughts you put out there on various topics. I wanted a fairly safe place to meet others and to make friends. it seems that it’s not well monitored or controlled who might respond to you. This kind of crap is why I really don’t like social media or use it that much. It’s too bad that in civilized Society people will act this way, but people are people. This is the type of thing that just makes me more cynical about the world and about attempting to make connections with people. Oh well.

So Friendednicetomeetyou itself is great it has good features to connect with people and simple to use interface. The problem is that everything is locked behind a paywall and it’s an expensive one as well. The basic membership is 8 dollar PER WEEK, not month totaling 32 for the whole month. On top of that even when you pay some things still can’t be done often such as posting. It makes you wait about 2 hrs between post even after paying. Also you lose your ability to message people really quickly once you reach your limit if you aren’t paid up. Every update has locked a feature that is essential for talking behind a paywall making this an expensive app to use. Overall I’m going to stop using it which is sad because I highly enjoy Friendednicetomeetyou. They need to do something about the way they set up their paywall.

I’m rating Friendednicetomeetyou at ⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars because there’s just two issues that I have with it. I do love❤️ Friendednicetomeetyou it is a great way to connect📱 with people👋🤝. I believe I have rated it at five stars because it was like two days of me having the account and the rating thing kept popping up so now since I’ve had it for a bit longer I’ve just noticed🤓 things that I wish were different. 1️⃣- the count down3️⃣2️⃣1️⃣ of the icebreaker, why do I have to wait two hours🕑🔜🕓 until I can make another post? And 2️⃣-I don’t like how there’s already like a sentence💬🇦🇸 started for me. I want to be able to start🖊 a sentence and finish📝🏁 a sentence in my own words. If it says something that may not relate to me then I don’t know🤷‍♀️ how I could continue the sentence. I hope whoever sees this understands my #2️⃣ issue and thinks🤔💭 of another way to do that. Thank you! 🙏

I originally signed up about a year ago. I got away from using it for a bit. When I came back there were a few changes to Friendednicetomeetyou . It works fine for the most part on the free side. Sometimes it give an error when trying to send or receive messages. Otherwise the free parts are fine and a good way to meet new people. There are fake profiles, just like a lot of these apps and it would be wonderful to have that put to an end.

Now, on to the paid side. Why would anyone want to pay $7.99 a WEEK to use Friendednicetomeetyou in all ways available? There’s not a lot to it to begin with. That’s a steep price! And you have to pay it to connect your other social media. Come on! Just make it free all around. There’s nothing worth paying for on this site so don’t bother.

The idea of Friendednicetomeetyou is great, like a Tinder with substance for friends. The problem is, I think a bunch of guys think that it is Tinder and they missed the substance part. I was hoping that I would create this and be able to connect with people in my area that I actually get to meet up with you in real life. I also thought I might be able to filter it by gender because I don't need more guy friends, I can go to any bar and find some of those. I was really hoping to be able to find female friends that actually have similar interests or something we could bond over. What I found out is that there's no way to filter by area or gender so I'm just getting bombarded with random messages from random guys that I don't know anything about. If I wanted that I would go on Tinder itself. I think a lot of females feel like it's hard to find female friends in this day in age and we are so busy and don't really seem to get out as much, and I feel like Friendednicetomeetyou could help bridge that gap but, the way it's formatted it's not going to do that right now.

I was having an awesome convo with someone. Suddenly, I stopped receiving messages. I thought “okay, maybe she somehow found out about something I did terrible in the past and she doesn’t want to talk to me”, which was quite optimistic. I didn’t think much of it, so I continued responding to posts and trying to make friends and avoiding guys that are down bad terribly (I’m a guy myself but seriously some of these guys are pathetic considering the name of Friendednicetomeetyou ). Anyway I thought the problem was a “me” thing, maybe I’m too ugly and they worry I’ll infect them or something. But, three days go by and I receive nothing??? At this point I’m questioning Friendednicetomeetyou itself cuz ain’t no way on the first day I download Friendednicetomeetyou I start having MULTIPLE convos with MULTIPLE ppl and then I’m suddenly getting ghosted? Like what kind of evil person would create an app called “Friended” when all that’s happening to me are tumbleweeds bouncing across my screen. I’ve tried uninstalling, permanently deleting my account, and using different emails just to hopefully get back into action, psyche. Now I’m here writing a review idk what to star, is this a 1 worthy? I’ll be generous a give a three cuz I did have fun and interesting conversations the first few days. But, if y’all know how to fix this help a bro out.

I really enjoy using Friendednicetomeetyou, of all the other apps it’s the best by far. Most of the time you always have someone to chat with and it’s cool. I’m glad that the payment options are not forced upon us because I wouldn’t pay to make “friends” lol.
Complaints/Additions -
1. The only thing I would add to make Friendednicetomeetyou better is making time stamps to know exactly what time they texted you, because sometimes I see messages a little later but I’m never sure how late I am.
2. My last complaint would be that after I send a message, Friendednicetomeetyou will randomly scroll up to a previous conversation between me and the person had and I don’t understand what that is about.
All in all, I really enjoy Friendednicetomeetyou though!

Ok this is by far the best app I have ever experienced, but there are a few things that I hope would be changed. 1. I paid 50 diamonds to post when I had under an hour to be able to post again, but after posting, it was reset to 3 hours. Not fair. By spending, I should have been able to keep the allotted time. Also, you’re only able to make a photo background for posts using the limited web browser search tool, or social media. Again, very limited on self expression. The price of $4.99 a week is asking a bit much. But it could be worth it if these changes are made. But one should be able to post as much as they want, especially if paying for premium, because why would we have to again buy diamonds? The gifts aren’t really real, I could send a gif of flowers or a smile. It’s a great concept, but I really hope you address these issues, because it doesn’t seem fair.

So with anything expectations should never be set high, because you know it’s an app and it’s a good addition not substitute for things you might need a bit more of in your life. But I love the setup. It’s all about conversations and posts are all about what’s on your mind, so I really think that’s what makes it a winner. The only thing is like there’s no way to exit out of friend requests they just stay popped up unless you accept or reject them. And I don’t like hitting accept just to end up with a list of friends I don’t talk to and I hate hitting reject when I haven’t had a proper chance to chat so that’s the only thing I am not crazy about. Great app though

At first it went very well, when I was paying for premium after I stopped paying none of my messages would send none of my posts would post and I couldn’t get any messages from anyone else. This is now my 3rd account and I have messaged the support team on all 3 accounts and I have still yet to hear anything back. Needless to say, they’re happy when they have your money and they’re not happy when they don’t have your money. Pretty pathetic. Btw it’s been 2 weeks since my first message to support team. 1 week since my second message and I just sent the third message today, I doubt I’ll hear anything back. If I could give these clowns ZERO stars I would 🤡.

I’ve managed to befriend a few people on here! The concept has allowed me to socialize with people from around the US. I’ve been using Friendednicetomeetyou consistently for about four days now which is rare and I see myself using it continuously. Honestly, I love it. My only concern is that with them trying to make money, it will make features more and more inaccessible due to the lack of gems! Right now most features are accessible, the ice breakers, profiles, people’s pictures, etc. But I notice that if you want to message other ice breakers that are in people’s profiles, you have to pay up with gems. So it makes it harder to connect. You have 1 ice breaker to create per every 8 hours, which is tough, but manageable. My fear is that with time, with them trying to make money, they’ll make it harder for us users by adding required gems (money) to features already available to us. I hope not, cause I really do like Friendednicetomeetyou!

For the developers ! Friendednicetomeetyou is so close to being amazing. I love the way people are introduced and interact with each other. But...
1) The status cards that are fill in the blank are so dang negative, it’s crazy. And i look through all the posts and everyone either posted something crazy depressing or they have to post something that doesn’t make sense just to turn the sentence positive. Make more positive status cards to fill in.
2) You can’t paste into the text box when messaging someone. Really annoying.
3) The person’s profile picture when you are cycling through different statuses needs to be bigger so you can see what they look like instead of having to click on the status to talk to them, and then click in their picture again in the messaging platform just to go to their profile and see what they look like.
4) The notifications are whack. I’ll get message notifications for messages I’ve already read.
5) You can’t upload pictures from your phone’s gallery for a status. Only from Instagram and like 1 album from Facebook. It’s maddening.

All in all Friendednicetomeetyou is a blast, i hope the developers turn it into all it could be!

Tldr: Community is and was always great. Toxic management practices have made Friendednicetomeetyou unusable unless you pay them 8 dollars a month to use basic features that were previously free.

(I’ve used Friendednicetomeetyou pretty much since its original version and have been apart of the community a long time)

They lock off your messages now after a few replies and put a deletion timer on it so that if you don’t pay them and you didn’t get another way to contact the person previously they are just gone. The site has no search feature so you can’t go find them again.

They also increased the timer for posting, it use to be about 4 hours or so but now is about 8 hours between being able to post. Unless you pay for their premium version.

They also are hard at work removing features and locking them behind a paywall. Such as being able to toggle the people near me switch that use to be a free feature, or the ability to swipe as much as you wanted which also was a free feature from the beginning.

They are either about to go under financially and are scraping everything they can to stay afloat or they have nothing but contempt for their user base. The longer you stay the more they push. Like a bad relationship. Ironic, aye friended?

First off, while building your profile, the only way to put pictures on it is through Facebook or Instagram. There was no way to access your actual phone‘s camera to put pictures from your phone into your profile. This really limits your options of how to put images on your profile. Secondly, there’s not a lot of options in the actual application for editing your profile after you get through the initial introduction. Next, the filter options that you select for finding your match, are very buggy. Each time that I tried to filter, the filter failed and had an error and went right back to the default search. Next, the price for this is nearly $30 a month, a little bit high for me, Especially with all the problems with Friendednicetomeetyou. And finally, I find it a bit shady that there’s no way in the application to remove my profile or even hide it.

Took Sometime to figure it out. It’s filled with fake people, scammers etc. some seemed real but how do you really know until you try speaking with them and it’s not the person in the profile. It’s like there’s a script. Some want you to go to chat rooms because they’re too cheap to pay. Wasn’t one time that was had an entire conversation with a “person”
Some fun ice breakers you can post but after that it’s a continous nightmarr. A woman said she even gave some money because it’s phony people trying to make ya feel like they are really interested but don’t fall for it.

If they could find a better way to vet people & not let them just go on & off to email & chat rooms. It could be better & fun. Especially if you’ve no other source of talking to people. Shame people are messed up!

Not sure if this is a dating app or not. And it’s kinda funny how it has a 17+ maturity level and you can even report someone on Friendednicetomeetyou for being underaged, but you can’t type cuss words or even some words that aren’t even cusses in the text box because that’s “inappropriate.” Pretty stupid if you ask me. Also, the location feature doesn’t work. If you’re trying to find people near you, it should only do that. Not go from nearest to furthest. There should be a message saying “there are no people in your area” rather than showing me people that are across the country. Other than that, Friendednicetomeetyou is a better tinder in the sense that you don’t even need to match with anyone to talk to them, and you can actually send pictures from the camera to people.

Okay so I think I downloaded Friendednicetomeetyou from an Instagram ad because I honestly had nothing else to do. It has a cool concept, it’s just really general. You don’t know how old the people you’re talking to are, where they live or anything about them beforehand. The idea of icebreakers are dope but having to wait a long time until the next one is kind of annoying because there’s really nothing to do in the meantime except swiping through other people who are new or aren’t really saying much (maybe that’s my experience). Also it’d be super great if we could upload pictures from our camera roll & not just facebook or instagram, I think it might help with the progress of “friending” people.

I’ve used so many dating apps and this one is one of the best. It’s so easy to start a conversation with someone and meet people. You don’t have to pay anything to talk to really awesome people which is a huge plus considering how a lot of dating apps will charge you for simply messaging someone. My only complaint is you don’t really get to customize your profile with things about yourself but Friendednicetomeetyou makes up for it in a unique way with quizzes and different posts. You don’t really need a bio or anything because it’s so easy to talk to people and simply ask them. My only other complaint is finding people near me to talk to but since Friendednicetomeetyou is new give it some time and I’m sure there will be more people from my area. Friendednicetomeetyou has let me meet so many people and I’m really grateful no other app has allowed me to have to many fun conversations!
