TOR Browser: Onion TOR+VPN App Reviews

Has some problems when trying to do more than just scrolling down your Facebook friends feed, trying to move pictures from one folder to the other, for example, can be tricky, as for some reason it doesn’t display the page fully/correctly. I was able to get it done, but those types of things, managing data in the cloud such as google photos, Box, iCloud, & other online data storage can also be frustrating. It’d probably be pretty difficult for any desktop browser to operate perfectly without a mouse, though, but it should still at least display properly. So, not sure what problems are avoidable, TBH…
But it’d be nice if they’d at least update it to fix what they can. They haven’t had an update in all the time I’ve had TORBrowser…

EVERY TIME I open TORBrowser , I have to shut it down, & reopen it at least twice for it to stop giving me the error message that the page can’t be loaded. All I’m trying to do is open Google. I’ve had TORBrowser 24 hours, and it glitches, in one way or another, every single time I use it…. Randomly shutting down, repeatedly refreshing/reloading web pages, going to the previous screen without me hitting the back button.

Update 2/4/22- After reading the developer response, I tried it again, and no change. Couldn’t pull up one page without the “error loading page” message coming up then it freezes. I just saw another review saying TORBrowser didn’t work properly on their iPhone. I’m also using an iPhone, so maybe that’s my problem too

TORBrowser does exactly what it’s supposed to but because the trash in the google docs app for iPhone is broken I can’t find a document I want to recover. I thought TORBrowser would let me do that but annoyingly it always goes to TORBrowser after sign in. I think it would be nice to add a feature that prevents apps from automatically opening after viewing certain links or completing actions such as pressing buttons. That way I could have a fuller experience with TORBrowser and not have to log on to a computer to get my precious document back. Thank you for your time and I hope you consider my suggestion.

TORBrowser used to be called Full Browser, which was an app that allowed users to view the desktop version of web pages. Most web browsers on TORBrowser Store had a feature that allowed you to switch to the desktop version of a web page, but most of the time it didn't work. That's why TORBrowser was so unique: it actually worked.

However, TORBrowser has recently had an update which completely changed TORBrowser . It is now advertised as a "Dark Web" browser, and no longer views web pages in their desktop format.

I am only giving TORBrowser 5 stars because it worked, and I have fond memories with TORBrowser . Nothing good lasts forever, though, as TORBrowser has undergone an unusual change that I don't see being reversed.

I am going to part with TORBrowser, and only wish the best for the future of TORBrowser and for the developer.

I wanted to changed my Discord profile picture to a different one but the Discord mobile app doesn't let you set it to an ananimated picture. It will just set your profile picture to the first frame of the gif. TORBrowser let me go into the desktop version of Discord and change my profile picture to the animated one I wanted it to be.

This browser works perfectly, emulating a desktop computer so I can access the full version of a website instead of the crippled mobile version.

The only website which I have encountered that doesn’t play nicely and still showed the mobile version is Reddit.

Btw: If you are on iOS 14 and up then you can see it accesses your clipboard every time you open TORBrowser , and I just have to wonder where that data is being sent?
Like if I copy sensitive data (a 2FA token for example) then TORBrowser accesses my clipboard, if they want then it can be sent to their servers.

I was working on changing passwords within the full browser app and, when I switched to another app, iOS 14 said that TORBrowser (full browser) copied from clipboard, unprompted, for no reason!

I’ve been using TORBrowser for about two years, which makes me wonder how much of my clipboard data has been read by TORBrowser and for what purpose?!

I deleted TORBrowser and I would advise everyone to either not download it, or to be cautious and not use it for use with any sensitive data.

It annoys me how I can’t access desktop version of certain sites on popular browsers (safari, chrome, duck duck go, opera...etc) all of them keeps loading the mobile version which in many cases don’t have a lot of features and options as the desktop one.

So I’m more than happy with TORBrowser.

The user agent that was set on this browser is for chrome version 48, so the browser shows up as outdated on Google and other sites. Please update the user agent string to chrome 69. Or perhaps better yet you can add the option for custom user agent strings within the settings. Once done I'll gladly purchase your ad removal package and whatever other useful extras you may offer down the road. Thanks.

I just paid the small fee for TORBrowser. It provides me with the desktop experience I need to access my company email. It is the only browser I’ve found with this capability. I want to encourage you to please keep up TORBrowser up to date.

Great app, but it’s missing one key feature.

***Please*** add ability to download PDFs. When I navigate to a PDF, the Share button should allow “Open In” functionality so I can store the PDF.

Soundcloud doesn’t allow members to unsubscribe from their paid service on TORBrowser or mobile site. And the desktop version for mobile purposefully hides the button to get to the membership settings. TORBrowser allowed me to do so.

Duh so of course your not going to find your history because it doesn’t have it. That’s the point. Onion browser was created by u.s nav add l intelligence so spy’s can communicate and not be tracked or traced.

TORBrowser is a serious lifesaver when needing to access a page “from a desktop.” This issue comes up frequently and Full Browser is the best solution I know of. Web pages see you as surfing from a Mac desktop, which is very helpful.

Soundcloud would not let me login at all on any browser to see my account status in desktop form until I tried this one. Am very glad I gave TORBrowser a chance because it does what it says!

And it’s not even bad like I understand it and it was easy I like how you can zoom in and everything. It’s it’s good

It does what it’s supposed to, but you cannot customize browser settings and it will automatically auto play any video/GIF it comes across. There is no way to turn that feature off.

I'm not sure how something as simple as fitting the browser to the screen was not done for TORBrowser. The url bar is too high up and even if you tap on it, it doesn't work 9/10 times. If you manage to tap it good luck trying to get it again or refresh the page. Very buggy and unusable.

There is one thing that is missing a Mouse cursor there is this game I love that refuses to load on any other web app and half of the stuff seems none clickable with the iPad Touch cursor

Its A Good App But You Guys Need To Fix The History Option Button Where We Can Click On Our Old History Pages

If you need an app that will automatically go around m.websites, this will do that. iPhone already has a feature for that. If you’re dealing with modern websites that exploit scaling and other features to force you onto a mobile version, you’re SOL. It doesn’t appear that there is an app for that yet.

You know the new proprietary Google design language? Yeah, that 75% works! It's just really glitchy (with that design language) but everything else works!

When logging into any site the previous page that I am to sign on to stays on top of the next page that loads. When I sign on Facebook the log in screen is on top of my friends feed and profile page.

It works seemingly well, except for a certain website some other type of links are not opening. Please make everything work, don't forget to have extras like bookmarks! Thanks!!
