Declining

I’ve been with Unify for several years now and could say that I really enjoyed having them as my main bank. But recently the service has been rapidly declining. I’ve sent several emails to them inquiring about loan products and they never respond.

They also changed they way you can qualify for a Credit Rebuilder loan. Such a loan is meant for people with bad credit. Before Unify considered your banking relationship to help determine your qualifications. Now they use your credit score. And now you need to have a good credit score for a bad credit loan product. Mind blown. When you apply and get denied they do not tell you why or do not mail you anything as they should be. Highly disappointed.

Absolutely horrible !!!

Downloaded UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion , thinking I could apply for a bank account like all other banks or credit unions that has a mobile app.... WRONG !!! Have to go to a website and do it. To add insult to injury, after applying for one of their accounts, I get an email the next morning that says I was declined for a checking account because they couldn’t verify my identity ??? Is this a joke ??? I even lifted the freeze on my chexsystems report so that they could pull it, and yes I have a good Chex report with nothing negative !!! In 25 + years of banking, I’ve NEVER seen or heard of anything like this !!! Oh and it gets worse 😮 Unify charged my other bank $30 to open an account with them BEFORE knowing if I was even approved or not !!! Their local branch told me I was more than welcome to come in person and try again... and yes, another inquiry on my Chexsystems report !!! You’ve been warned people !!! DON’T GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY !!!

Not happy with my bank

Not friendly anymore, playing on their phone Needed help. I asked for help and I felt like I was really bothering her and I interrupt her. Started off going to drive through but no one was there stayed there a couple minutes and still no one showed up so I had to park my car and go in. I let them know and was told she was on break. Then you should put a sign on the window on break. I really use to love my Bank. You have new people with poor attitudes Just so you know I did go back around and still no one was at the drive through Still on break 🤔

App issues

I have a savings account, a truck payment loan, and a credit card. However it seems every time I make my truck payment from my external account it goes towards my credit card payment. Every month I have to call and get the payment taken off the credit card and placed to the truck account. Something really needs to be done about this. Last month I made a payment to the credit card and it showed up as a partial payment to my truck payment. Please don’t ask me to make a payment and put it in my savings account and then when it clears transfer it to my truck or my loan payment that’s not how UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion should work. I would like it to work correctly so that I could make a payment directly from my external account into either my truck payment or my Visa payment.

Good but unreliable

Often times my bank balance isn’t right until a few days go by with no activity. Often times I can’t deposit a check because the screen freezes or something else stops it. Sometimes if you send money to a friend using the friend’s phone number, the money doesn’t transfer and you both have to call to resolve the issue. When you put in a travel notice, it doesn’t work. You still need to call to set it up. When you deposit a check on the phone or in person, you can’t view the check images.

I give it a three because it generally works for my needs but there are a lot of kinks and a lot of things that it is very ineffective at, as mentioned above.

App suggestion

UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion works ok, but here are 2 things I would love to see changed.

I have accounts with my wife as the primary and me the secondary, and accounts with me as the primary and her as the secondary. I wish your systems were like I had with Arvest. Each individual creates a login, and that one login brings them to ALL the accounts that the individuals name/social is tied to. With your system we have to have 2 separate logins for each set of accounts.

Second. Viewing credit cards. I HATE that it does not show the credit card balance at the account summary screen. I also really wish that on the credit card information section, you would include the cycle CLOSING date, not just the cycle beginning date.

Unify app

UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion is pretty good. I usually don’t have problems with buffering issues, logging in or changing screens within UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion .... I gave it a four stars vs five because, what I would prefer to see on the primary screen, in addition to my checking and saving balance, is my account balances on my loan(s) and credit card(s). Not my payments due on primary screen, maybe payments as an option to view, as they were on my Western Federal CU Account before becoming Unify Federal Credit Union.

Very User Friendly Sys/Other Areas Need Updates

Unify FCU, overall technology system is no doubt, world class. Although I have lived on the other side of the country since my initial introduction to Unify when I lived out West, 33+ years ago, the innovation has kept me/us in lockstep as if up the street/around the corner/in the same city/state from one another. However, since I was asked via a SURVEY REQUEST. If Unify could adjust their practice for (33 yrs non-stop in this instance) Direct Payroll Deposits arriving on the same day as Scheduled Auto Payments Policy/ Procedures, among a couple other areas, Unify FCU would then be in line with other FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS modern day updates. Especially with Loyal Customers like I am/have been. Thanks for asking.

Very good app.

Unify banking app. Is very reliable with the new improvements being upgraded as time goes on. Maybe the next improvement will be made to epay, when paying certain utility bills sometimes the payment doesn’t go through due to the date being so early, what I mean is toward the beginning of the month that is when certain epay Payments do not go through unless you manually change the date to a later date. Hopefully on the next update they will take care of that problem. Otherwise it’s a very good system.

App & Customer Service

App works for what I need it for. Anything else I get on a computer. No crashes or freezes since I’ve downloaded.

Just a suggestion for other members .... power off your devices once a week. Some updates get hung up and requires a restart of the device. Not just UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion but every app.

Been with this bank since before app and name change (Western Federal Credit Union). Customer service is great. Actual human to human interactions with pleasantries.

UPDATE 2: I had been crabby when Fiscal 1st merged into Western & UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion was new. Down the road the UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion was 1st class, easy to use, no bugs. Now Unify you’ve taken it to the next level!
I can rename my debit expenditures in UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion , evaluate my monthly budget in UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion , look at trends in my spending… So far beyond just my monthly bill payng, thank you Unify for continuing to polish & improve UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion into a better & better tool for members.

Easy to use

I’ve been using UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion for over a year now. Face ID was added some months ago. Now the login experience is seamless. UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion is very intuitive to use, with all the important functions right there on the left pull down menu. Transfers between accounts are done instantaneously. Online deposits also work well. Everything I’ve used so far has been smooth. Definitely recommended as a top quality app!

Love online banking

I love that I can go online anytime and check my account. I’m 74 years old and they’re not joking when they say your mind can play games with you so I forget sometimes and it’s so nice to be able to at any time in the middle of the night I can think of something and not remember and go online and check and make sure I paid that bill. Online banking is so easy to take care of everything at any time I just love it

Love this app & credit union!

I have seen this CU go through many positive changes over the years - and UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion is high on the list - easy to navigate, the searches have depth & breadth, they perform regular update to the site, as planned events with plenty of notice if there will be maintenance interruption. The site can do anything the big banks can do with ease/internal & external transfers, paperless check scanning deposits right from your phone, and the opening dashboard of accounts is clean & up to date with same day transaction/pending transaction detail.
Member services is easy to contact and they are also responsive within 24 hours usually through the message center when using the tool outside of normal business hours. Fantastic - A+ all 5 stars *****

Unify is a great bank

I have been with Unify about 2 years now. They have always been great if I needed anything, and they offer everything you can think of on UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion . They are on top of things, have a wonderful team for monitoring for scams and theft. They treat you like family, and rates are amazing. Ease of working with them on things is one treasure you don’t find at every bank, but with Unify you do. I recommend them to everyone I know, and you should too.

Best mobile banking

I have several different checking accounts in this by far is the best mobile baking app I have used it’s very clear you understand everything that’s going on. You can literally almost process every transaction that you can possibly think of rather it’s from depositing a check to doing a transfer to a different credit union all together I have been with this particular bank for over five years it is the best, I hope they come out with more features to make it even more efficient than what it already is. Thank you so much to UNIFY you rock.

Move your money here! Here’s why.

I am based in Bay Area CA. One of the benefits my employer provided us is a relationship with Unify Credit Union. We get our paychecks a day before (Thursday) as to a regular bank. Part of why I love unify. But let me tell you why this is a good app as well as a good credit union. UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion provides 24 Hour Live Chat (texting) service for any complications or issues you may be having. Most other banking apps don’t provide that, and when you are an introvert like myself it just feels great. They will treat you real good. Always so helpful.

UFCU

This is a great credit union to bank with!! We have banked with this credit union, since it was named Western Federal Credit Union. This credit union may be based out of California, but we were blessed that they have branches in Northwest Arkansas. Their app is easy to utilize. UFCU offers very competitive rates for their credit cards, along with competitive rates on their auto loans. We have done a majority of our auto loans with UFCU, and this is because the process is smoother than dealing with any dealership, when you’re purchasing a vehicle. I highly recommend Unify Financial Credit Union!

Love the app just a few bugs

Sometimes UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion isn’t updated correctly as you use it far as back account shows old available balance after a debit purchase it doesn’t show up right away even hours later but enough about the glitches the good part is that you can change anything on the account far as transfers account to account including another person it’s simple and easy also you can change the amount you can take out the atm on your card without calling customer service soo yeah it’s a great app

I use UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion all the time. I do not live close to a branch office since I moved out of the area about 4-1/2 years ago. Everything I need to do is available on the credit union app, including depositing checks. I have ATMs close by that serves for any cash I may need. UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion is easy to use and has never failed me since I started using it. Any updates to UNIFYFinancialCreditUnion have all been positive, making access to my accounts even easier. I would highly recommend UNIFY Financial Credit Union to my family and friends.
